Survivor have to many 2 Chance Perk's
I play both sides but seriously Survivor have to many of them lol
Dead Hard
Unbreakable (Uncounterable with D-Strike if Killer is only down you again)
D-Strike(I know Tunneling but can also be used as crutch. Uncounterable)
Borrowed Time
Adrenaline(Uncounterable with BT, especially in Endgame besides you maybe play Bubba)
Soul Guard(even if it is situational)
"OH I (Survivor) had made a mistake where the Killer should got me? Nope I had my 2 Chance's. I should put them all together lmao"
Not forget if all 4 have them equipped... ππ€

Ds + ub together is the only thing thats op imo, second chance perks arnt that hard to counter imo

Well what is with DH into a Pallet just to waste extra time of the Killer? Especially in Tile of the Map where a strong Pallet is and you can't Mindgame that?
1 -
Break the pallet and keep chasing them π€―

survivors are designed to have built-in second chances, hatch, 4%, hatch closing... so it's understandable that they have many second chance perks. The issue it's that their second chances perks are WAY too much strong in the game.
8 -
While their holding w and just gained like 12 meters while you were breaking it.
6 -
Most survivors are too stupid to do that π
They'll usually run to a nearby unsafe loop where ill down them in less then 10 seconds
On some maps like ormond theres no counterplay cause all the pallets are safe, but thats an issue with the map not the perk
2 -
Idk what you face but most survivors i face know the power on holding w. Either way it acts as basically another health state if used correctly.
2 -
I mean he's still got a point. Time is very important for killer. That example wastes more of the killers time.
1 -
Thats the point of the perk... Its supposed to waste the killers time, just like any other exaustion perk
2 -
Honestly, most survivors need them.
That's not a good thing, I don't think it is a good excuse, and in fact I would prefer it to not be the case. However, they exist. They have existed for some time. People have gotten used to running them and genuinely cannot play the game without them because they never learned to play without them and they are now at a rank (this is why ranks don't matter, BTW) where they have no chance of learning except for that 1-in-10 game.
That is not to say that everyone who uses second chance perks is like this. I certainly sprinkle them in now an then, although I wouldn't call myself particularly good ("boosted moron," perhaps) so I am a poor example. However, given the sheer amount of people that complain about constant losing when they dequip them it seems pretty obvious where the (vocal, at least) majority lie.

If survivors stopped using second chance perks (ds) killers would just tunnel most games
Its sad but true
8 -
No, I don't think it is. If survivors stopped using second chance perks, they would be forced to play well and killers would quickly realise that tunnelling isn't an effective strategy unless the survivors just completely blank and forget that it's free gen time.
Tunnelling is a solo destroyer, not a good stratagey. If solo's were forced to play well then GG killers. So maybe it's a good thing that second chance perks exist.
1 -
I mean I run DS either but if you used it when it is gonna run out than it is a crutch in this case besides the Killer is Tunneling you the entire time.
1 -
Any stealth killer could tunnel and camp without an issue against solos.
Good spirits, freddys, billys, and nurses will also easily tunnel cause they can return to the hook very fast
Tunneling + slugging would become extremly easy without second chance perks to counter them.
the devs need to do something against tunneling and camping before they can remove second chance perks
6 -
I still don't understand how DS is all that strong.
I just eat it and down them 15 seconds later.
4 -
Survivor without 2nd chance, or with many 2nd chance perks. Killer plays fair, or play dirty.
Its like Survivor has a choice between a Tshirt and an armor. Killer has a choice between a fist and a sword.
As a Survivor, you dont know if Killer will use a sword or just his fist. Its much better to protect urself with an armor rather than a Tshirt. Though its so unfair to punch ur fist to an armor.
4 -
Let's say you don't tunnel the unhooked and found him again after 30 Sec's. Then you downing him after 55 Sec's and wait for the Killer animation to be over only to pick him up when 1 or 2 Sec's left and got DSed for no reason. That is the Point with DS. You aren't tunneling and still got punished.

I'm sorry, but you are repeating a mantra, not addressing what I said.

The only problem is the stacking of additional health states. They should add some limitation like exhaustion for second chances to prevent people from stacking them, just like they try to make slowdown perks not synergize well.
0 -
Well I Uninstalled the game. Survivor's are too op if they know what they are doing especially in swf. This game have a lot of Problem's with Balance, Bug's,Toxicity not to magine incompetent Dev's where say you should play ANOTHER game if you are pissed bc they can't balance their Game or fix the Majority of Gamebreaking Bug's(Sound Bug) and I don't want to talk about how long they try to fix this God damn matchmaking. Oh not to mention GEN RUSH.
If I could refund all the Money I gave them in Germany, I would.
I had a very long patcience but now it is over.

There are a few pallets you can mind game but itβs not easy.

Survivor's having second chances isn't the problem! The problem lies within the synergy in them, the amount they can use within a single chase, and survivor's denying killer's a chance to counter them (like using DH for distance and jumping in a locker with an active DS).
While I don't have a problem with second chances perks, I think survivor's should be limited to the amount they can use within a single chase! For example if your getting tunneled right off the hook and you go down and use DS, they shouldn't be able to use DH since they've already used 1 second chance!

If the survivor sucks, sure, this will happen. If the survivor is any good they'll be close to 20m away by the time your stun ends and will be in a strong tile halfway across the map by the time you even catch up. And while you're dealing with that survivor, everyone else is doing gens. It's a massive waste of time for the killer. Eating multiple DS's can easily lose you a game.
0 -
Ok?
They can't recover in time, so wait 5 sec.
If the would've had enough time to recover, then eat the DS.
1 -
I have one word that answers that whole perfect storm scenario you just described.
Spirit.
0 -
If you're playing any killer without high mobility and the survivor isn't a potato, that's straight up what will happen. It's not really a perfect storm scenario.
Playing a high-mobility killer isn't really an answer. All killers should have an answer. The answer is usually "just don't tunnel", but DS now isn't really an anti-tunneling perk; it's often used offensively at high rank. That's why I think DS needs to be changed.

Thatβs the irony. They complain about no counterplay yet have no issues with things like this that cuck M1 killers.
βbreak the pallet and chaseβ is the reply, at which point the survivor makes it to another pallet. Depending on the enviroment where its used it can be an extra 20-30 seconds per chase or even an abandoned chase at the press of a button with zero counterplay.
But its Pyramidhead that needs the nerf π
1 -
Well, I mean, yes. But that is bound to happen if killers keep camping, tunneling, chasing the same guy forever (even if it means that the other survivors pop 90 gens meanwhile), only ever spamming instadowns or whatever they can spam, instakilling you on your second down because they can only play with Ebony Moris, bring NoeD and even use it on instadown killers and Ebony Mori. As you can see, each side has its crutches. The thing is BHVR hardly knows how to balance the game properly. And, you know, you also have to take another aspect into account. I am one of those few players who refuse to use NoeD and who didn't use DS. But now, I am so goddamn sick of getting tunneled each and every single game, that I WANT to fight fire with fire. If tunneling, camping and Bloodlust get erased from the game, DS and Unbreakable can go, as far as I am concerned.
