Good lord, you guys are ungrateful as heck.
I'm not simping for the devs, but good lord, please give them a break.
This is about the new generator sounds. I personally think they're quite nice. Kinda confused me at first, but it helps me massively as a Killer.
Take a chill pill, lads.
Try to enjoy something for once. Wait patiently until they fix the "DS bug" as well. (Good thing I don't use DS anymore as survivor, lol)

the dbd community is very toxic honestly. It's game that even if it were to ever be balance both sides will continue to cry and whine.
Guaranteed when killers don't get a 4k they go on the forums to cry. Survivor doesn't escape? they go on forums to cry.
It's a fun game that is being ruined by majority of the community.

I agree for the most part. It’s hot-headed in the forums because people usually come after a bad game or something. But the new gens sounds need to go.

I agree on the gen sounds. I was cool with the new effects of you working on different parts and the animation improvements are awesome and really reflect what you're doing. BUT you are not starting a car you're repairing a broken generator. they do not have starters and you're not turning a key. It's clearly a stock engine sound effect and it just screams laziness. It doesn't fit and makes fixing gens more annoying for it.

I mean they deserve some of it tbh they won’t test anything or listen to feedback when they are warned about what’s going to happen with decisions they make but do it anyways then go surprise pikachu when exactly what was said would happen did happen

Regardless, this is a video game we're talking about. Things don't have to be uber realistic or stylish to be good. Simplicity doesn't always mean laziness.

there are some decisions bhvr makes which really does make me question their process of thinking but i despise people that hate on bhvr since all their doing is what the community wants

I love the sounds as a survivor. Breaks the monotony of "Ping... pong" of skill checks.

In theory, generators have an engine in them too. I see nothing wrong for it to sound like starting a truck. It may not be a car engine, but touching two wires together for an engine to start would undoubtedly give those sounds out.

Fair, there are issues here and there, and by no means they are small issues, but I still feel like BHVR doesn't deserve this much of a backlash for them. Like every other damn game out there, there will be bugs no matter what. No developers are perfect.

I don't see pointing out bugs as backlash. voicing my dislike for them adding something annoying that no one asked for is just that. At times it does feel like they don't think before they do things, they just throw things at the wall to see what will stick.

But these guys do, apparently (even though I personally still haven't found a single bug yet). We can't do anything about that but to hope they will fix everything, with time, I guess.

Things seem to stick if they didn't change multiple things that a few people wanted to be changed with smaller updates.
Believe me, in one way or another, BHVR is listening, because there were times the majority of the community disagreed with BHVR and they reverted something.
At least... That's what I heard.

I've seen them screw up too many times to be optimistic about anything they do. I can expect worse and still be disappointed.

How dare you imply that the Devs are not enslaved by our wallets. They exist only to please us and should give us exactly what we want, especially when the opinion on the matter is divided. Let's randomly have half the gens with old sounds, half with last patches sounds, and half with the new sounds for a total of 33% of gens having 2 sound files playing.

People will be happy when they can host a dbd tournament without having to ban perks and items because they are to strong. And when the best thing a killer can do in a tournament isnt camp the hook and run noed because gens are to fast.

what more is there to add everyone knows how bad the devs are with balance changes and quality of life updates and in the qna they straight up said we dont need a chapter on game health which was bs

LBR: some stuff that happens on the devs side is majorly frustrating (not testing updated builds on the ptb for example, please devs, let the ptb run till things are smooth-ish), but a lot of stuff that people whine about shows how little they understand about coding and legal stuff (licensing) and how utterly obsessed with playing the game as hyper-competitive (very unhealthy mindset to begin with) they are.
And, sweet mother mary in her mercy, these people need to shut their piehole. go play lol, or is that too hard for you

....maybe because the recent patches gave us tons of bugs and caused huge lag and frame drops? If BHVR want us to be happy they should take their time to make sure everything works before pushing huge updates like this

i love the new gen sounds, me and my friends love em, finally fixing the gens truly feels like you're actually fixing them, those who say they dont like them are just people who hate change, its much better than before actually, animation and sound wise

I just want sounds fixed, call me ungreatful all you want but sounds legit are more broken every single update, they don't fix them at all and it only gets worse. This is unacceptable, absolutely unacceptable GAME BREAKING issues that are ignored for nearly a year.

The new gen sounds are too much when you take into account how many gens the players must repair. It is quite bold of bhvr to just throw loud repetitive cranking into a mix of bad latency, killers having problems hooking, and totem spawns that are once again blocked. They don't need a break they have work to do.

Yep That's me, self caring ruins the game for the rest of the survivors. Spending 20 mins healing in a corner while 2 are hooked one is being chase with no gens popped.

Why Would I stay for a game we lost? I'm not going to wait for someone to finish self caring across the map while I'm hooked i rather move on to my next game. Idk how killing myself on hook is toxic lmao

When an update somehow manages to break wiggle/DS stuns and make hooking people impossible in some cases, criticism is heavily deserved.
