Yeah this community is responsible for half of the problems in this game. But you cannot discount the devs and their questionable balancing decisions.

Tbh Im surprised Dead by Daylight wasnt dead on arrival. Idk how its lasted this long especically considering how awful the game was at launch.

Dont get me wrong. This community is terrible, but the devs are equally terrible.

I'm sorry that console players like myself are expecting a stable game. I really am. But if behavior delivers a substandard product, then it is on them to fix it, which they are currently not focusing on (or it at least looks that way).

If my game can run Doom Eternal at perfect frames, then why can't it run DBD?

People didn't want the Nurse of Billy basekit changes, from what I remember.

Yes using optimal strategies in competitive tournaments, oh no, how low! Instead the killer should be nice and friendly and let survivors have a second chance in a competitive tournament (with tournaments having prize pools too) :)

Bugs are inevitable, but I've yet to see a game have this many and are this severe. Consistently. With every. Single. Update. Like you expect them to have at least somewhat good control of the situation considering, you know, they've kinda been developing the same game for over 4 years now, but it's like they're back at square 1 everytime they change the smallest of things. People are sick of it happening every time and just wanna have a stable videogame to play.

I bought a product, if I don't find it to be up to standard then I will complain about said issues in a reasonable manner.

DBD has been a game where making any small adjustment has a good chance to legitimately break 5 other things in the process.

Added a new sound for generators? Well unfortunately about every other sound is now prone to being broken, Killer interactions are bugged, Stun Times have a random chance to be halved, and Pig got nerfed again because Spaghetti Code.

And when they do fix something? Well probably waited for the next mid-chapter update and possibly didn't even fully fix it so it's still in there somewhere waiting to be found again.

Let's not forget Survivor Meta hasn't changed if at all and that a good chunk of perks are just bad or too situational to be useful. What's the current big issue? Well make a Perk that band-aid fixes it and not fix the actual underlying issue.

Oh yeah seen some discussion about adding proper settings and things like Color Blind modes... yeah... no real info on that apparently.

And finally maybe a chapter or two dedicated to focus on the game health and balance? Nah gotta pump out that next big DLC Bugfest every 3 months, Consoles are still dying apparently because refusal to tell people if they're even planning to optimize at this point.

"Well why do you keep playing then if you clearly hate the game?"

Do I hate the game? No, I love DBD for what it is but man does it need a legitimate proper Operation Health and apparently the Devs either don't care or are too stuck in their ways to actually do something about it.

Too be honest I don't complain or backlash at them but I would like some minor tweaking here and there when they have time to do it like Gen sounds are a perfect example of minor tweaking.

I would not be surprise if they tweak or make some minor fixes to the Blight like his POV or something needed tweaking but does not have to be now since not game breaking.

Usually what I think the Devs do is make major stuff to the game and release it but add minor tweaks here and there from time to time so its little but wholesome so they give us something big which occupies us so they can work little by little on stuff they missed or needs improvement.

I do agree that people jumping down the devs' throats over something as trivial as a generator sound is rather ridiculous. When the devs do something right they deserve to be praised, but when they do something wrong they deserve constructive criticism, and unfortunately dead by daylight has only gotten worse over the years when it comes to bugs and glitches.

It's been over 4 years and yet dead by daylight mirrors what you would expect in an indie game that's still in beta. The amount of bugs and glitches that continue to pop up makes it seem as if they don't thoroughly play test their own game. Playing killer right now is the worst it's ever been, as everything you do as a killer is bugged. You can't hook survivors, vault windows, kick generators, kick pallets, etc, without encountering a bug.

On the survivor side, decisive strike is bugged with certain killers turning what should be a 5 second stun into a 2 second stun, which all but negates the perk entirely.

And with matchmaking no longer pairing survivors with the killer's hidden rank, means that you are guaranteed to be matched with people either far more experienced, or far less experienced than yourself.

All of this culminates into an experience that is less than ideal for everyone involved. Personally I plan on waiting until the MMR is back up and running, and these bugs are fixed before attempting killer again. Like I said when the devs do something right they deserve the praise, but it's hard to see the good when there seems to be a never-ending supply of bad.

I think the sounds are a little annoying but coming on the forums and complaining about them is actually ridiculous. Complaining about actual issues like bugs is fine but generator noises? I don't understand why some people care so much lol.
