To those playing killer and survivor, do you ever...

Switch to killer to be nice to survivors after facing some scummy brats as killers, just to give survivors who likely endured similar a breather? if only for one match?

I try always to play fair and also not to be too cocky, no matter if I play killer, or the rar matches where I play survivor, but that is less for others and more, because it's just me. It would for me really hard to play toxic if the survivors would not provocate me in the first place, since it would run against everything I believe into.

I change to killer because I know i wont be a scumbag and everyone will have fun.

Already got many ps4 messages saying i played well and it was a fun match.

If only everyone had this mindset...

I usually play the same every match - try to win, don't tunnel or camp unless needed, and don't bother slugging for 4k- just yolo

During the Anniversary event I let people escape if they needed to get a crown. "Lost" a lot of matches but still had fun.

I recently switched back to killer, as I was tired and embarrassed over the constant mori spam from console killers. Felt I had to show these console survivors that you can play killer without mori, outside Devour.

I only really play my Killers to do the dailies, so more often than not I contact the Survivors and let them know. Makes my life easier, makes their life easier, we all get points. Played one game as Spirit today, did the daily, did a challenge, a game where all Survivors escaped netted me 80K BPs

    Hm No

My Survivor Gameplay does not spill over to my Killer. But i refuse to use DS/BT and still rank up with ease (i prefer to stay at rank 6 cuz red ranks are not worth the increased queue time).

I try to be nice (as a challenge) but if you unhook infront of me you will die (also being unhooked infront of me just to heal right next to me jump a locker or touch a gen is also a good way to die). Both Situations are super bm and also show this attitude of " Killers being nice is a given and you have to follow our rules" while you should respect those Killers tryin to be nice when it makes their live so much harder.

The problem here is that, if u are a nice killer, u get bullied really bad.

Try playing killer for 1 month straight. U will see that survivors are toxic and deserves to die.

When u get back to playing survivor, u will understand the feelings of a killer. And u will keep playing survivor becuz the life of a killer just sucks ...

If u don't have a thick skin, u end up being demoralized by the survivors. Just look at all the hate messages. How ######### u are, and how u suck at the game. And accusations of tunnelling when u didn't even tunnel.

I uploaded the video and had the survivor watch the video from my POV and he was convinced that I didn't tunnel.

This is too much work just to convince 1 survivor that I'm innocent.

*Killers are not the aggressors, they are victims from bullies and aggressive toxic survivors.

For every killer that let's u go, u should give urself up to the next killer and die.

No. What happens in one match stays in that match. The only time I give Survivors a break is:

    1. Some losers disconnected super early and left them to rot.
    2. Some loser cheats tried to help me (the Killer). I make that loser pay.
    3. I realize Matchmaking has me in with people not ready for me, so I slow down to their level.

To me each match is unique and gets evaluated on its own merits. This is for being nice or bringing the hardest game I can. It would be odd indeed to be part of a game where I got a raw deal, to then assume the Survivors I pull as a Killer are somehow deserving of miracles based on that alone.

I've done that, though usually I'm playing one side over the other due to queue times, so switching back and forth isn't ideal.

I mean, I usually play pretty nice in general. Back when I had messages turned on, I'd get messages during holiday and BP events thanking me for not playing like a total ass, because apparently I was like the one killer not going hardcore. Events are usually poorly balanced and harder on one side than the other, no reason to add to that frustration.

If as survivor the killer plays nice and doesn't get any kills, I'll often stay behind and die. It's stupid how few points that nets them (a survivor gets 5k for escaping but the killer only gets a few hundred for the survivor not escaping), but it's not about the BP.

I feel like a bully when I do those stun-the-killer or blind-the-killer Tome challenges. If escape isn't a requirement, I'll let the killer kill me. (It's sorta funny when I stand still, let them down and hook me, and then they dance around the hook hitting me repeatedly, but whatever helps them get it out of their system; better me than some innocent survivor who just had the misfortune of getting hooked after I pissed off the killer.) I hate those challenges; I usually end up pulling them off against some poor low-rank killer who's probably already having a bad day, but I have no control over matchmaking.

When I'm playing and lose track and get someone out of the game early and it snowballs I'll let them get free and check some stuff on the other side of the map before looking around for them if they aren't on the last gen.

No, but I don't play like that (scummy) to begin with. I suffer no illusions: people don't need a real excuse to justify being unpleasant, they will do it because they want to make someone else miserable whilst having a petty power trip. Most survivors who get a break from toxicity facing me are, in fact, miserable toxic pricks that want nothing more than to take the opportunity to make me as miserable as possible because that's how humans and revenge work.

You frustrate me so much, OP.

I had a PC Spirit mori me then farm with the remaining survivors. Don't feed into this platform bs.

Otherwise good on you. Having killers WHATEVER PLATFORM THEY MAY BE ON just murk you after being hooked once is disheartening.

For every "scummy" killer there is 4 "scummy" survivors who are probably responsible for why they both play the way they do.

It's a cycle of ######### that the game perpetuates in it's mechanics and design.

I play killers when i feel like it or need BP. Doesn't stop me from rewarding the survivor who did great and never bmed with hatch though.

I definitely get on killer to be nice every once in a while just to remind the player base that there are decent killers out there.

I see dumb survivors dying on both sides and according to how dumb they are as I'm killer I go easy on the ones that are put in that difficult position. 2v1s at 3 or 4 gens is just tough and hook bombing usually leads to the dumb survivors dying and me having no desire to play a 2v1.

I'm just a nice person most of the times and if i romp on the survivors in playing against I'll give the last one the hatch. Alternatively if I see a killer struggling to get a kill or wants to farm I'll try to give them a kill if I can.

So I was having a bad time as survivor I mean yeah it happens so I switched to killer to wreck toxic survivors but the rarest thing happened. Went against this group and 3 were toxic as usual and there was one that was straight doing gens and helping the others. I mean he was good was a huge team player but I could never find him til he was opening the gate. Mind you everyone else was already sacrificed. I downed him and I knew he was upset he worked so hard to carry them when he was doing all the work. I downed him and carried him. The gate was open and I stopped for a second. He wasn't struggling or anything so I felt so bad all that hard work just to get downed at the end. So what I did was drop him at the exit and let him go. People like that are rare as it is and I wasn't gonna ruin his night. That was my good deed for killer.

I played clean as a survivor and got tbagged last my ghostface. I then played clean as trapper and got tbagged at the exit gates 🤣

    Can't win

    Playing dirty wins - everytime

I try to be a 'noble' killer in that I only camp or tunnel when it makes tactical sense, I don't BM and I'll always give survivors who have a DC or are mismatched with me a chance.

That said, teabag me once and you are never leaving the basement.
