Is It Just Me Or Is Myers Basically Just Worse Oni?
They both take a big build up for the ability to instadown someone, Oni gets the ability faster. Out of Ability Myers either sucks in a chase but is super stealthy or is an m1 killer with half TR. Oni without ability is just a standar m1. In ability Oni can move super fast with demon dash and has extra range. Myers is still just an m1 killer who vaults slightly faster. Basically, Oni gets his ability easier and his ability is better. The only things Myers has over Oni is Addons and Stealth.

Myers is just a worse Oni.

Also, Oni has scalped top knot, which is the second best addon in the game after iri head.

Myers has not kept up with how the game evolved. The Shape hasn't changed much sure, but the game sure has.

Yeah, I think he need some TLC with how much has changed but nothing major. Just some quality of life stuff and a couple minor buffs here and there and I think he'd be in a fine spot.

Give him a slight speed boost in tier 3, a decent lunge at tier 1 with a faster gain of evil within, and the ability to activate his ability instead of being forced to 99 it and he'll be good to go. A slight addon rework with the changes is obvious. Also, they need to not limit how much he can stalk people or have the stalk regress slowly on them.

Yeah Myres could definitely use some changing to make him better but let's be honest if they changed him any time soon it would just be a cool down

I think they are pretty different. Myers doesn't actually have to attack anyone to get to his tier 3, and he can stalk over a ton of loops that Oni would need to run in order to score an M1 for his power.
Myers duration add-ons are also significantly longer. 90 seconds with hair bow where-as Oni only gets 55 seconds with his Fang, and he loses time for each down as well.
Plus Myers gets the most Mori's in the game. He gets Green Mori's, Red Mori's, Tombstone Piece, Judith's Tombstone, and Black Wards.

I really don't understand people's sentiments about saying he's underpowered. Played to his strengths, he's a walking Haunted Grounds.

And with Tombstones he's a walking Devour Hope. 😈

Right.
And op left out how T3 has longer lunges. He practically floats across the level to ######### you over.

He suffers from the same issue all middling killers do: no map presence. Dude just has to slowly walk everywhere. Oni can cross the map and patrol every gen multiple times during a power use and insta-down multiple people at once. Bigger maps absolutely annihilate poor Myers. Yeah he's some some silly instakill add-ons but when you get down to the baseline killer, I think the inability to traverse the map and get pressure around just makes him kind of meh.
At this point I think they need to start building killer-only shortcuts into each map, kinda like Demo's tunnels but pre-set and require you to go to one spot to get to another spot quickly. I don't think the solution is to give everyone movement abilities, so having a way to get around built into the map itself could be a good solution that doesn't make high mobility killers much stronger, but levels the playing field for killers who are just utterly helpless when good survivors do gens solo across the map from each other.

Myers could definitely stand to be modernized. There's really no reason to take him over Oni or Ghostface, especially if you're not going to run M+A. It's an issue of time with him. You have to spend too much time stalking relative to what you ultimately get out of his power against skilled players.

He's a semi stealth killer, so he gets easier approaches than Oni.

Myers is the only stealth killer that can really snowball though? Oni is obviously stronger in his power, but he is a 32m terror radius killer. Myers will probably be at 8m most of the time. I also do feel like people downplay the T3 extended lunge and vault speed; which stacks great with fire up or bamboozle.
His duration add-ons are so good too. Even the yellow one gets you to 80 seconds. That is enough time to pop tier 3, down someone, hook them, patrol some nearby generators, and then still have enough time to return to the hook to confirm a half state before it is over. If you manage to get a slug in that time you can attempt to go for an outright kill.
Myers is one of the best hook defenders in the game since he can defend a hook by just looking at survivors, and won't trigger BT easily.

Their map presence is in how they zone. Why concern yourself with a gen in a remote location getting done when it'd be a lot more damaging if the ones within actual proximity get taken out? Games slow to a crawl if they notice they could possibly 3 gen themselves. And when they 3 gen themselves, the map area shrinks.
And it works both ways. Survivors have to travel away from gens to rescue teammates across the map. With someone who can down you in one hit coming back to patrol gens after hooking their friend, they'll be a lot less willing to risk their own neck. Meaning more time for you.
I've seen tactics employed by swf where they try to bait you away from gens while their friend slips back on then self care when you leave them alone to re-defend the gen. You can't do that against a Myers.

Mikey has been in dbd for awhile now. A lot of killers could use some sort of upgrade. He lacks the ability to provide good map pressure outside of T3 and most people just hide when they hear that music. He has more stealth options and good snowball potential but Oni is a newer killer. It's like comparing a 3 year old PC to a brand new one. It's not a fair contest.

every killer is just a worse Nurse

Myers has a neat Tier one mechanic if you're into making the game really hard for yourself by making sure you don't tier up from EW I until at least two gens are done. Also, the intakill with some of his add-ons can be pretty spicy in a very special way.
I hate the frame Oni uses. The attacks from that frame always feel unnaturally bulky and trigger damage way too quickly on survivors.

Is Myers a worse Oni? Yes.
Do I care? No.

It´s true. Oni gets his power easier, more often and his power is way stronger. Unlike Myers he can use his ability as often as he likes to, as Survivors can´t run out of blood, but out of Evil. Myers is due to get some serious buffs in, saddens me to see him way down in the meme tier.
Not to mention Myers has the worst early game out of any Killer - given the current pace of games, most games are decided within the first minute or maybe two.
