Iron Will vs Spine Chill
So as solo survivor let's say for the next 50 games you must use only one of these perks, which one would you pick? You have to pick one.

Spine Chill. Gives me the information I need to know the approaching danger. And the action speed bonus is nice, too.

Iron Will. I've managed to stay hidden only feet away from a killer while injured many times and it's handy combined with Resiliance.

Spine Chill has more direct value and is higher on the meta charts for usage at the moment, would probably agree its a more powerful perk objectively as a standalone perk (since you aren't using 3 other ones).
Direct Killer detection (At the very least you know when a killer is within 36 meters of you - whether he is coming after you or not depends on that player's skill level).
Faster vaults - whenever the killer is looking at you during a chase your vaults are slightly faster helping you directly there
Faster gens/healing - within the proximity of the killer especially if someone else is getting chased you will see some benefit from this even if its marginal

Iron Will. Probably the Perk that saved me the most, either by staying hidden or by losing a Killer.

Spine chill, both are good but imao spine chill fits me more.

Hard to pick as I run with them both on my Claudette. If I really had to just take one, I would take spine chill for the advanced warning and try not to get hit.

Spine chill - gives me the chance to creep around a corner, bush, etc and not get hit in the first place. From the moment I put this perk on It has never came off any of my characters. I only play solo tho so theres alot I need lol.

I pick Iron Will, not the biggest fan of Spine Chill I have to admit.
This makes the score 6-6 which is around what I though it would be, a very close call.

Iron Will although I run Sprint Burst so I don't need an advanced notification when the killer comes 😂

Both are great, but I'd argue Spine Chill is generally a more useful perk, at least for your average solo survivor.
It gives you information on if the killer is heading your way (very good against stealthier killers) and, depending on map layout or other contexts, may even give you an idea of where the killer is.
Its action speed boost is useful in chase (for vaulting). Or it can save you the few seconds you need to make an important play in other ways (opening a gate, finishing a gen, even unhooking someone) before the killer gets there.
And it's 36m activation range is very generous. It is pretty tough to effectively sneak up on someone using this perk unless they simply aren't paying attention.
Plus Spine Chill is one on of the default Universal Perks and functionally useful at any perk tier (whereas Iron Will isn't really great until it hits Tier III). Spine Chill is more easily and readily available on any character.

See if it wasn't for the fact that Spirit exists I'd have to say Spine Chill, but because she unfortunately still does it has to be Iron Will. If there's one perk I'd never take out now, it's Iron Will.

Thanks yes I will make more of these they will replace my killer vs killer (best + most fun to play) threads I made months ago 😀 Always interesting to see what perks people prefer and why.

As a killer main it's pretty close which works better against me. Iron Will makes it harder to find hiding survivors and to keep track of them if I get juked, while Spine Chill allows survivors to potentially start running away earlier before I reach them at their generator (as well as helping them a bit in chases.) If I had to guess though I'd say survivors with Spine Chill tend to escape me slightly more often than the Iron Will ones.

Spine Chill helps prevent a chase from occurring and gives you vault speed.
Iron Will helps escapes IF you have LoS blocking terrain.
I personally prefer Spine Chill as it also helps deal with stealth killers.
