Even running DH with Undying to “re-try” in the same round is futile.

You only need to run Devour Hope as a perk, you don't need to exclusively rely on its effects.
Use Myers or Ghost Face to trigger exposed status on survivors for the instadowns. Bring a mori to get the kills.

Run Myers and a Mori. Or any killer with a full one hit down (MYC, NOED, Haunted, Devour) build and a mori.
You only need devour EQUIPPED, it doesn't actually need to be used.

Devs come up with challenges which never plays out as they intended. Devour hope and exposed challenge? Players will run devour hope and Myers/ghostface. Kill obsession challenge? Players will run ebony Mori (and quite possibly nemesis) instead of rancor.
Not saying they 100% intended it this way, but it seems to be that way.

Yeah, and it's not even the players fault, either. Putting in a challenge that it's conditions are entirely dependent on BHVR's shoddy totem spawns/maps leaves the players no choice but to run "back ups".

I mean, I ran a mori for the challenge. I didn't get a match cancelled.
I even got to use it on someone who I feel always deserves a mori. A Quentin.

I got it with Hag running just Devour in one match. If you're having problems with it due to totem cleanse and don't have Devour on one of those killers and don't want to bring a mori I'd suggest burning Midwich, Dead Dawg, or a Lery's Memorial offering as those maps have better/more obscure totem spawn locations.

I feel bad for you for not having Devour on Myers. He's literally the best person to cheese this one with. I barely made it one match too because I got put on Yamaoka Estate. Because ######### me, I guess.

Yeah, you pretty much need to play somebody like Myers or Ghostface with a Mori or hope you get lucky with totem spawns.
Honestly these recent Tome challenges are kinda scaring me (3 Iri Devouts, kill 10 Obsessions, and this one). Are the devs starting to move to challenges that are grindier or are completely reliant on RNG in hopes that we’ll just buy Rift tiers?

for killing 10 obsessions just use a strong killer with nemesis, even throw on a mori if you want, it will allow you to get 4 obsession kills within a single match. personally i just hate the fact there is hardly any wraith or hag challenges considering its their tome

the obsession challenge, i used obsession perk and nemesis with mori in 2 matches got 6 obsession kills almost 7 now you can't rely on survivors having a perk to give an obsession and nemsis does not CREATE one. :) mikie though can have the add on to create one and doesn't need that obsession perk too.

Got it first try with Pig on Hawkins (+Amandas Letter). If you want to do it with Devour Hope, you basically need a Map Offering for a Map with good Totem Spots.

Why do people act like it's their right to complete every single challenge without any difficulty?
If you are struggling with it, move on to something else. You can work around it with the survivor challenges if you are that bothered about getting to the end.

Play Legion and Rancor find your obsession in the end game, fatal frenzy them and then down them for the mori. Probably the easiest way to do this challenge
Assuming you have devour and rancor on Legion ofcourse

Yeah I finally got it. I was taking the challenge too literally at first. I thought it HAD to be done by the DH stacks, and if it’s cleansed I thought it screws the challenge.

This challenge was the bane of my existence. I felt super scummy playing the way I did just to get it. I felt awful for mori'ing someone right off hook, then having to run NOED because I knew DH would be cleansed before it even activated fully. I despise using Mori's and DH because for me, they just feel super cheap. I got so much hate after the match too, which even when I tried explaining I was just doing my challenge, I got the usual toxicity from the survivors.

Easier said than done when Survivors pre-drop pallets. It’s stupid that a Mori seems to be the only way to finish this quickly (kill them before they catch on). It sounds like such a simple challenge but factors like RNG and Survivor behavior make it a pain in the ass.

Literally just use Myers.
- Bring Devour Hope
- Bring a Mori (Ivory or Ebony). You can bring Tombstone Piece instead if you're careful with it.
- Bring add-ons that speed up stalking or increase Tier III duration
Use Evil Within III to get your Exposed attacks (and possibly a mori with Tombstone Piece). Otherwise play as normal to get your 5 hooks and mori someone after that point.
I'd seen this mentioned a while back before I'd attempted this challenge and was able to knock it out quickly with little frustration.

I could be wrong but I think Nemesis does create an obsession after being stunned, even if there are no obsessions at first. They may have changed it since then but I used Nemesis a while back and there was no obsession but after being stunned it made one on said person so it should work fine for this challenge.

I did that once, no obsession, nemesis did not create an obsession after being pallet stunned. that was my experience and then I re-read it and it doesn't create the obsession just simply transfers it. I could be wrong and there was a bug or something at the time but it does say they become the obsession, i'll have to test it out again and see what happens.

Just played a game now since I still have that challenge and got a group with no obsession. Getting pallet stunned did make that person an obsession. I can post a video for confirmation if you'd like?

no worries, it's more idle speculation. i'm done with the challenge now and I am not questioning you, there must have been something that didn't work right that match when it happened to me.

run devour hope, red heads pinky finger, and a mori you can get the challenge without using devour hopes effects

I got this one done extremely fast because I run DH any game anyway.
Alongside Infectious Fright, BBQ, and STBFL, I call it the Lethality-inator 1000.
