Is the devout emblem bugged or am I missing something?

I just got an 11 hook game as Wraith, the last guy escaped through the hatch and I got golden devout, so I didn't get my challenge. Isn't it supposed to be a guaranteed devout with 9 hooks? Or do I have to get a 4k as well?

    AFAIK it's 9 or more hooks AND a 4k AND every survivor must be hooked at least once.

    So no iridescent for example if 3 survivors are hooked 3 times and the last not at all but instead moried with a cypress or rancor.

    Yeah I learned this the hard way, the wording isn’t right in the end game screen. I had to check online cause I played multiple games where I got over 9 hooks but didn’t wanna slug for the 4K and never got my iridescent lol. Feels bad. @stinde is right though :)

    I tried it multiple times with Blight, Leatherface and Plague, no luck. Then I switched to Spirit and the first two matches one survivor DC'd on the first down but I got it on the third try with her.

    Stinde pretty much nailed it, but to specify the point system for Devout a little more:

    -You need 10 points to get Iridescent Devout

    -Each survivor sacrificed OR killed (by mori's, not bleedout) is worth 2 points (up to a total of 8)

    -Hooking each survivor at least once gives you 1 point

    -Performing a cumulative total of 9 or more Hook Actions gives you 1 point.


    If a survivor DC's or self sacrifices themselves on the hook early, they've likely just ruined your chances at Iri Devout. It is unfortunately really easy for them to mess up this emblem.

    Haven't confirmed it, but Pyramid Head's cages may not count as a "Hook Action", even though they progress through hook stages. If survivor's transition to a new stage while on the hook, you will also not get credit for a second hook action (though you will get progress towards Malicious instead).

    Its based on rank too so if you are rank 1 or close to rank 1 good luck gettin it...

    Cuz everything has to work out perfectly for you (and when this happens survivor will dc left and right).

    I just had someone dc cuz he got downed first vs me playing clown... imagine dcing vs clown...

    In my experience, the only way to get iri devout in red ranks is to get a 4k merciless. I spent forever on that archive challenge because the last survivor kept getting hatch or dc'ing.

    The descriptive text is wrong, the progress bar and "marks" are correct. you need 100 points and you get 20 per kill (whatever way) 10 for hooking everyone at least once and 10 for 9+ hooks

    merciless is the title regarding all emblems, has nothing to do with Devout

    I thiiiiink the offerings that increase the bp for sacrifice to add a little to the counter?

    but yeah, compared to the iri emblems on survivors side this is bull.

    Yeah this is one of the challanges that can take a lot of trials to get, if you perform too bad you wont get it (obviusly) but if you perform too well you may end bypassing a lot of hooks so you dont get it either. You have to be inbetween, problem is being in between also makes it easier for them to power all 5 gens and exiting thorugh the gates, even if one escapes you miss the Iridiscent, also they have to think they can escape to avoid DCs or ragequits, is no easy to get Iri devout this days (I believe is the hardest emblem for Killers by far).

    For this challenge I suggest a heavy stalling build and Killer with one of the easy map offering like The Game or Hawkins.
