If they have Undying + Ruin then don't do gens and go totem hunting. It's a very good combo that I'd far rather face than Pop.

Yes "easy" counterplay on Hawkins or every other Indoor map or even Haddonfield, just cleanse every game all 5 Totems while you getting chased and do 2 Gens on you one 4head

Honestly it's hard to tell if he's trolling as so many on this forum have this mind set. "I dont like this perk combo and I cant be bothered to counter it, plz nerf" sums up people like this

There is nothing wrong with the combination. Is it effective? Yes and no. It is only as effective as the Killer is at running patrols and keeping up Generator pressure. High mobility Killers are better at patrolling generators; that is just a fact, but just because they CAN doesn't mean they DO. There are all sorts of things you can do to ensure that when your Generator hits 70% the Killer is otherwise occupied, not the least of which is <GASP> someone can sucker the Killer into a chase and potentially take a hit or a down.
Let's face facts, most of us use the Killer chasing someone and downing them (watching the auras) to know where the Killer is, how far away they are, to finish whatever generator we happen to be working on at the time. It is possible, because my friends and I do it, to work a Generator to near the tipping point, pause for a one of us to get that looping going, and then the others resume. The Killer has to either break off a chase, drop carrying the person downed, or go through and finish the hooking process. The Generator can be finished.
That is but one strategy. I want to point out that things ARE getting more complex for both Killers and Survivors. You are going to have to take hits these days, and even hooks to help the team get done. The Killer must make hard choices about who to go after, chases or even sure thing hooks to abandon. This game is always changing. You adapt or you die. What is going on right now is this:
- The Gen-Rush is a problem Killers have been facing for a LONG time and their best option has been to get REALLY efficient at patrols.
- Survivors have spent most of their time only practicing the Gen-Rush, relying on the fact that the situation always favored them.
- Suddenly time no longer favors them, and the Killers are HONED for good patrols while the Survivors let their other Skills wither.
Do you see my point? All those OTHER Skills the Survivors let wither while insanely focused on the Gen-Rush are now necessary, and well... there is going to be a period of readjustment. It doesn't mean this combination is overpowered. It means you have to use those Skills that have gotten rusty.

At the minute yea. I've had a few games where a Blight has gotten 5-6 hooks because we've been trying to commit to unsafe gens due to Ruin + Tinkerer. I've decided that it's probably better just finding and getting rid of those totems rather than just give the killer free hooks.

the undying + ruin combo are enlarging the tremendous gap between solo and SWF and between "normal" killers and mobility killers even more...
Sorry, but killers must understand is neccesary to find another ways to balance the game

We have 4 indoor map only all the other map are outside and the game probably got something like 30 map so dont worry indoors map are not commun

Haddonfield dont have any indoirs map the indoors mao are the game, lery, midwich andthe stranger things map that all. The other map have some house or thing like that but they are not indoors map

This is what I came to say as well. I'm a survivor main who plays killer maybe once or twice a month, and this dude does not speak for all of us survivors at all lol.
His cringy, entitled whining about nerfing this is not a shared sentiment for most of us.

100% it will get nerfed eventually. I wouldn't worry about it. Let the suckers pay for the dlc for a few months and once the next dlc is out they can nerf this combo into the ground.

The Pop Nerf was needed I'm sure the majority of matches before undying came out was Pop always used (Idk Like 80% of all matches) But I wonder why they don't Nerf Corrupt.

I honestly think undying is good for the game,survivor grew too lazy,never doing totems unless they see a light up one,this will make them cleanse totems more and that's a good thing,and before you say i'm a biased killer main I play survivor just as much as killer .

You need to play more and stop trying to nerf everything, there are a lot of people who play this game who don't need the killer to be neutered to have fun. I don't like this statement but might be needed in ur case "git gud"

Btw just cause a perk is used a lot doesn't mean it needs a nerf...old ruin didn't need it either, hit greats and there is no problem and I know skill checks can be sketchy at times with lag but come on at some point people really need to earn skill not just reward it, that's how you make spoiled cry babies, hence this convo

I've been playing for over 3 years, my health is fine and I learned how to hit greats cuz I was forced to....I play solo and in red ranks, I'm not at all the greatest but can hold my own...ruin didn't hurt me like it did others In yellow and grey ranks....so yes it hurt noobs but with practice you can get past it. No meta kills the game, it can be beat and has been many times. Like I said you need more practice that's all, not an insult everyone has been there at some point

How can I cleanse Tinkerer? That's the main problem of the build. Not just Ruin + Undying, but Tinkerer added into the mix.

I don't see why it should be nerfed, it's not like Unbreakable/DS has been touched despite an overwhelming amount of feedback for a year. At least if you deal with the bones the killer has 2 perks.

just get the totems, all the totems. the combo is good but its RNG and the fact that i still see survivors not going for every totem they see in the beginning of a match kinda shows that a lot of players need to start adapting by doing that. sure you might get in chase but if they run the build and you break 2 or 3 dull totems in the beginning of a game the combo will just be 2 totems with a chance of a 3rd.
edit: i will say its rather strong in indoor maps because of totems being harder to find but hey maybe change your meta to match. i hear detectives hunch can find up to 4 totems at once, rush gens and after the first or second one use the info to get the totem if its still active.

It only saves one totem cleanse per game man, do more than one active totem and you got it.
