Can we all agree that solo que is the MOST stressful thing in this game?
Can we? I cannot tell you how annoying and irritating it is to be in solo que matches and see your teammates be so useless. Crouching in corners, leaving you to struggle, scared to death of a heartbeat, last 6 seconds in a chase, pre-open exit gates and leave immediately etc. I can go on and on give more reasons as to why solo que is stressful and matchmaking is still, til this day, is the icing on top of all this. Out of the 2 years I’ve been playing this game I will always believe that solo que takes the cake for the most stressful part of this game. Yes, that means I don’t even find SWF squads to be stressful. I get it, you might say “you take this game to serious”, or “not everyone is trying as hard as you”, even the famous “this game was never intended to have voice communication” but that’s beyond the point. I wish Dead By Daylight allowed Console and PC players to have a voice chat system outside of Discord, Xbox Live, PS4 parties, etc. so that experienced players could maybe coach the newer players and explain certain tiles, what a dead zone is and what not. At the moment PC has the pre-game and end game chat but it doesn’t do much IMO. What are your thoughts on solo que? Do you find it to be stressful or have you had any experiences like the ones I listed?

Normally i would say you are wrong and m1 killers at red ranks is way more stressful (for me), but like i specified thats only in my case and i can't say your story is false or not, so right now imma take it as truth and say yeah ######### teammates is the worst thing in this game, only thing is you can still saftey pip if they weren't 100% useless

Solo Queue is easily the most stressful thing in this game. Its so mentally exhausting when you get awful teammates or killers who will tunnel or camp you for no reason at 5 gens.
9 -
I'd rate it secon most stressful. M1 Killer vs a strong team takes the cake.

Gets frustrating at times agreed, i put if it down to some survivors just having a lack of game common sense.
You dont need to be godly at the game or even good but just engage your brain sometimes.
3 -
100% agreed and I say this as someone who goes against plenty of OoO swfs
3 -
I would say that it can be infuriating, but certainly not stressful.
Just take a drink and enjoy your first hook death.
5 -
Yes, it is.
Solo<casual or bad SWF<Killer<good competitive SWF

Behaviour should implement a replay system so I can see what my teammates were up to, because I’m 100% sure they do f all.
3 -
nah more like solo<m1 killers< casual swf< high tier killers< competitive swf

Nope.
Running into a full smurfcomp at lower ranks with Object, meta perks and triple tricked out toolboxes all selected the second before match pops is way more stressful.

I actually find solo survivor quite chill, but that’s only because I usually use at least 1 aura reading perk (usually bond) so I can always have an idea of what’s going on. I still get frustrated sometimes, but it’s usually at other survivors rather than the killer.
For example: last night I was on a first hook on Wretched shop with Kindred. A Claudette started getting chased on almost the opposite side of the map. A Feng who was closest starting making her way over to me to unhook me. The Claudette was leading the chase with PH right back over to my hook. By the time Feng reaches me and unhooked me, Claudette and PH had reached close proximity. Of course PH broke chase and targeted me. I stopped running after 2 seconds and gave up. Let him downed me, and didn’t bother struggling on hook. I wasn’t mad at PH. I was furious with that troll Claudette.

Can relate. Nowadays I nearly always run Kindred, it really helps. It also kinda shines a light on teammates being little shits since everyone can see who is too lazy to make a safe.

no.
you still can play mobile card game when you play solo.
killer can't.

As a 65/35 solo survivor/killer player (red ranks both and about 2000h on ps4) killer is easily more stressful than solo survivor.

I have never felt any stress while playing solo survivor. There's no expectations, no ties to anyone, no obligations. You basically do whatever the hell you want and if you die, oh well, on to the next game. I find killer drastically more stressful, even when I'm very comfortable with it, because you are there until the end of every single game since you can't die (unless you DC, in which case you were still there to the end) and every mistake is your entire team making a mistake. It's all on you, literally everything. You can't rely on anyone for help, and you can't blame your failure on anyone else. You can't dip out early, you're committed.
All that while adhering to the survivor rulebook on what isn't "boring" or whatever. Meanwhile as survivor you're never offering your body up to the hook so they get at least a 1k, meanwhile it's pretty normal to give hatch to the last survivor. For some reason you're often a better "teammate" to a survivor when you're the killer. Thinking on it, it's really bizarre. I wonder if all that developed because of the social dynamic of there being far more survivors than killers, so there's a social pressure to not be ostracized by them, even if only by a small amount.

100% This.

While potato teammates in solo queue can be quite frustrating I wouldn't say it's the worst. I'd give the worst to playing against the 4 man swf death squads at rank 1.
At least with the potatoes I can still escape with a hatch or still pip. Even when I lose in those scenarios it's because of bad teammates.
Compare that to the death squads where you don't get a consolidation prize like hatch, you probably won't pip and you can still lose even when you don't feel like you made a single misplay all game. Not to mention you are also getting smack talked, tbagged and flashlight flicked all game to rub it in your face. The feeling of not having any control over the outcome of the match is more frustrating than anything else in the game imo.
At least with solo queue I have some options unlike against the death squads and you aren't being ridiculed.
You also can fix the solo queue problem by making some friends, killers have literally zero counter play to the death squads other than, "they're rare". Albeit more common than people like to say, especially at prime time.
Obviously more people will find solo queue most frustrating because more people are experiencing that, where as there's only a small population at rank 1 in general to experience the death squads.

No, solo is nowhere near as stressful as killer. Not even close to being close. All you have to do is your 1/4 of the work, and then it's not your fault because everything else is out of your hands and it is unreasonable to try to take responsibility. It's like claiming it to be difficult to bench press a house.

I disagree...playing Killer in the low Ranks is the most stressful thing in Dead by Daylight. In my opinion.
Hmm...here recently I've been dealing with a LOT of crybaby Survivors that instantly kill themselves on hook. Otherwise...I'd say they're a least somewhat competent. Gens get done, Survivor's are unhooked properly, still get the dimwits that don't heal every now and then. I have yet to meet another Survivor that can lead the Killer on a lengthy chase. Not to suggest that EVERY game is like that but meh, roughly 85% of my recent games.

Killer is always solo queue.
#foreveralone

kind of agree, but going against a 4 man is even more.

As long as I'm not trying to do a specific mission and am only there to gather bloodpoints solo survivor is fine.
Once I run a green or higher item or I have something specific to do, my blood pressure gets to me. This game just does not cooperate.

I pretty much always play by myself and agree it can get pretty frustrating. This is just a thought, and it's probably already been mentioned before, but what about a pre-made, in-game command system (no voice, just text)? Something that you see on a lot of first-person shooters? Maybe have 5 (or however many), quick, easy to toggle command options. Maybe #1 says "Complete the objectives!", #2 says "I need healing", #3 says "Power exit gates!", etc. For instance option #1 could let you know whether or not a slugged player has unbreakable/adrenaline and doesn't need healing. A small text with the players name, would let you know which player(s) sent which command.
The pic below is just something that I quickly found on google, but with a pretty similar concept. Does anyone think something like this could help solo survivors...or is this a dumb idea?

I agree.
When my friends aren't online and I play solo, I do about 2 - 3 matches before I switch over to killer. Where I don't have to rely on other people.
1 -
No, i can't.
Yes, i've had experiences like that.
No, i still can't.
Solo Survivor is one of the most relaxed ways for me to play this game.
3 -
I only play solo and am in red ranks. I prefer it honestly. I played a few games with some friends but it comes down to idiots yelling into the mic and it's just not worth it to me.
Sure I'll be placed with some questionable teammates of various ranks every so often but for the most part, I have a blast.

Playing solo Q can suck and be very frustrating, but that's nothing to playing against coordinated survivors who are much better than you
This is how it feels:
(reference is to Tantalus, a greek myth where he was cursed in hell to have fruit JUST out of reach, and when he wanted to drink the water it would drain to the bottom- he'd be continually hungry/thirsty with sustenance just teasing him.)

I agree with this. It baffles me how some of the red rank team mates I get ever got to these ranks with the way they play.

When i first started playing the game i was always in swf. And then my friends stopped playing but i didn’t. And i used my skills to try and better myself. And turns out they held me back. I was at like at rank 12 with them. As soon as i started to play alone more i reached the Red ranks. And i know ranks don’t mean skill. But they do to a certain extent. Now since they made it a lot easier to rank up as survivor the teammates have become a lot more, potato like.

Seeing baby dweet rushing to you for a save without BT when the killer is nearby, that is always gets my blood rushing lmao. Also, running kindred when solo will be so very helpful.
1 -
I agree. Especially since there are apparently no survivors left with CP enabled so the game keeps shoving two achievement rank 19 baby Dwights and Megs in my team that obviously have no idea what to do.
I can't play survivor anymore until either the matchmaking gets fixed or I magically find some friends to play with.

I had a Claud who hid in lockers the entire game but still escaped thanks to a key and left behind. Nerf keys btw
