This backwards logic lol....
We've heard your complaints about games ending in 5 minutes we have decided to nerf pop goes the weasel so you'll have less time to chase or kick generators." lmao here another one "we've heard your complaints about DS and Unbreakable being virtually uncounterable We've decided to nerf pyramid head because he's strong against uncounterable god loops." oh and then there's couple good changes but mostly bad ones like trails or torment seems alright but why use a interesting perk when he game forces you to use generator perks or you lose in 3 minutes.

Punctuation is a real thing you know. Just in case you forgot
26 -
I thought ds and ub combo will sure be changed in mid chapter.. but well, a perk that is completely balanced and nobody complains gets nerfed (pop)
17 -
yeah, devs sometimes really seem out of this world. Some changes or additions are really stupid, like old mother's helper, or the new technician, like, of course technician sucks, there's no way you're gonna make it good without completely changing it, but the new version it's pretty strange. It's a noob perk fine, but it hinders new people even more, so... yeah pretty bad.
6 -
I thought the perk rarity changes were to help ease the grind everyone hates until others pointed out it would actually make it worse.
9 -
They were THIS close to buffing all of Demodog's Teachables, RIP dream of having a fun and viable Surge.
Oh yeah and the buffs to Cruel Limits and Mindbreaker don't seem that great anyways, I don't expect much increase in their use.
13 -
Such a shame, I was hoping it would remove perk tiers altogether just make it so every perk is base level 3.
6 -
You forgot to end the sentence with a period.
14 -
Yikes imagine caring about punctuation then not put one yourself cringe much
9 -
Seriously what good is an 8m increase to Cruel Limits when the fundamental idea behind the perk is flawed?
1 -
"We've been monitoring for a year how garbage demogorgons perks are so We've decided to do extremely minor number changes that do nothing oh and we won't remove surges cool down we can't let good killers getting fast downs be rewarded they should be stun by ds for proxy tunnel camping
2 -
Whether your conclusion is true or not. Your argument is a strawman at best
3 -
It's a perk that's heavily overrun. I just wish they'd apply the same logic for survivors. Getting really tired of every single one running DS, UB, BT an DH
2 -
So they can point and say "look guys see? we buff killer perks too".
4 -
Yeah this is the only perk change I think isn’t great. The extra range MIGHT be good if two adjacent gens pop at the same time or quick succession.
Everything else is great though, contrary to everyone else’s opinion.

Please teach me how to counter these "viable starts"
Camping
Slugging
Tunneling
Quickly

I just LOVE when they nerf Perks instead of just buffing/reworking Perks that are never seriously used. They've sat and monitored Pop from when it was first released, barely run despite a good concept...to buffing it...aaaaand now reverting it back to how it was?
Who the hell runs Mindbreaker, Cruel Limits, Beasts of Prey etc? Make other Perks more desirable...not nerf the ones that are currently more desirable....I understand it's easier to reduce & nerf what's "causing problems" but I feel it's so lame that so many games just follow this logic.
It won't break the game, but it just adds frustration for some players...having more options and as many viable options is what I feel nore players rather have.

I don't think it's flawed... it was poorly implemented
I read in another thread a good buff for it would be to give it a Tinkerer type of effect...
Like when a gen is 70ish% done and the survivor lets go CL activates and the survivor is forced to leave the area a certain way for X seconds...
0 -
if your saying your forced to use gen regress perks you are making too many mistakes i literally never run any slowdown and 4k almost every game with the exception of hatch escapes
0 -
You're clearly the best killer ever. You should upload your footage so we can learn from you.
0 -
didnt say that but ok
0 -
what im saying is theres no need to use gen regress perks
1 -
just to make this clear i think the pop nerf wasnt that bad but reasonable however there were bigger problems the devs shouldve prioritised
0 -
The dumbest thing about the pop nerf is that this nerf against just hits the weaker no/low -mobility killers. High mobility can check gens in 45 seconds, lets say the ones we do want to protect. What about the others? It is a dumb nerf with no thought put into it and that ruin/undying meta is also only viable on the high mobility killers, once again bigbrainpower by bhvr.

It would require a lot if changes honestly because at high level play killers are usually forced to do those actions. Make the game longer change perks like ds and unbreakable and slugging perks for killer make fresh hooks gives significantly more points than slugging and focusing one person and give like a speed buff or some sort of buff for hooking different survivors and not the same one then change generator perks ect. But we we all know this will never happen.
0 -
Wait a second, what? Just for info and therefor your personal advantage, Surge is already one of the best killer perks in the game. Give it 2-3 months and its meta.

Baited

They need to just rework technician. On pc, Feng isn't even free. Why the hell would they put a noob perk behind a ######### paywall?
0 -
ok in order:
Gen rush campers. This is legit the strat from the devs themselves which is also why they can't buff monsterous shrine as it would make this counterplay unworkable in basement builds.
For mass slugging killers like plague, michael, and oni spread out(This also applies to legion as they effectively have no power against spread out survivors). Also unbreakable and calm spirit(To counter infectious fright) exists as teachables you can get.
Tunneling: Do safer unhooks and learn to loop. I have legit ran multiple tunneling killers for 5 gens as a lot but not all killers who only tunnel aren't very good at countering survivors who are good at looping.
Sadly tunneling is how killers can counter gen rushing base kit so if you gen rush expect to get tunneled.
1 -
"Iron Will", " Soul Guard", any exhaustion perk, "Tenacity"
Alternatively you can also learn looping. There are really less braindead options. My survivor build usually consists of: "Bond", " Spine Chill", "Prove Thyself" and any exhaustion perk.

Sarcasm?
If not let me explain why it's bad. It got a radius of 32m. You need to down a person to trigger it. It got a 60 seconds CD. Only 9% regression.
The conditions are too harsh. In most cases there's not enough value you get out of the perk to use a perk slot on it.
2 -
"let me explain you why its bad" lol... :D
The irony when this comes from somebody who has Nurse in his name 😉
Trust me, Surge is great already, it definitly does not need a buff, rather a nerf. Feels like half a year ago where i tried to convince people Corrupt is one of the best perks and everbody was "explaining me why its bad" and now they run it aswell...
0 -
Luckily i never use corrupt. Even on trapper and hag it hinders your ability to setup. On oni and myers it's kinda good, but definitly not as strong as people think.
So, 9% regression on a gen if you down a person and the gen is in a 32m radius AND the perk is not on 60 seconds CD. Explain me why this is good.
1 -
Dude just give up, he already ad hominened and thinks surge is one of the best perks. What's your end game here lol
The only way surge ends up meta in 3 months is if they nerf everything else (not crazy unlikely)
1 -
Why should i even explain that to you, its so easy to understand what this perk + pressure does to gens. Its not only 9%, its a free (or even 3x free kick) with regression aswell and its information too. This perk is amazing. Now just try it on your Nurse, come back later.
Fun fact: Its not 60 seconds, its 40 seconds.
0 -
I always want to know why people think in a certain way, sometimes they think outside of the box like @TheClownIsKing .
0 -
Somehow my brain wrote 60 seconds, maybe because of new dragons grip idk.
I tried it on nurse and was, well, not that impressed. Perks like "Shadowborn" and "I'm all ears" are simply better. Even Ruin+Surveillance is better than "Surge+Surveillance.
0 -
Well thats then your opinion, but saying it needs a buff or you get little value out of... idk, sounds strange to me.. kinda like you tried it one game, had not a great experience and left it for good. Might explain the 60/40 second plunder there. No offense, it can happen, but i think it is just a lack of experience in that case.
I dont play this perk all the time, i mix perks a lot, but Surge is certainly a very strong perk for prolonging the game. Also pairs with almost everything, even pop is a great adition. I even had great success with ruin+surge.
Also it seems that more and more well known streamer are finally jumping on the Surge train aswell. I realised that recently, that people like Otz or Goose (2 good killer mains) think highly about it aswell.
0 -
I know that otz and other ones are using it but if they get asked why it's good (or better than other options) they never give a clear answer. They always say something like: "It saves time." Yeah it does , but in my experience less time than another perk would've saved.
I tried it a while, because i wanted a more consistent version of ruin+surveillance. Welp, i'm a good nurse, so most times i downed people the perk was on CD and i was like: "Why not sloppy instead? Or ruin? Or any info perk?"
0 -
Does not seem to fit your playstyle then but certainly it wont make it a bad perk as you claim.
0 -
What would be a fitting playstyle then? Because downing survivors less often results in loosing.
I thought about this perk after it's release and even on stealth killers, a more reliable choice to guarantee that you're in range, it's not that good, because you can just kick the gen most times.
0 -
I heard of the pop change but what all these other changes?
0 -
You're Reaching too high surge isn't good because the devs designed it to be useless if you're fast at downing ruin and undying is a better perk setup than surge but that doesn't help when you go against skilled survivors because the game isn't designed for killers to win.

A list of all the changes they're making to the perks: (if that's what you were asking)
Let's start here: Any Means Necessary
- Reduced cooldown to 60 seconds.
- Added a score event for resetting a pallet.
Cruel Limits
- Increased radius to 32m.
For The People
- Added a score event for using For The People.
Mindbreaker
- Increased duration of the Exhausted effect.
Slippery Meat
- Removed Bear Trap escape chance.
- Added an increased chance to self-unhook.
Thanatophobia
- Removed heal speed penalty.
- Increased penalty on other actions.
We're Gonna Live Forever
- Added new ways to get tokens.
- Added increased healing speed when healing a dying Survivor.
Technician
- Increased the chance to prevent an explosion to 100%.
- Added an increased penalty to missed skill checks.
Irrelevant but another change they're making is to make the tier of the perks match the rarity they're in. So for example, tier 1 of Balanced Landing will be uncommon (yellow), tier 2 will be rare (green) and tier 3 will be very rare (purple). While we're on the topic of perk rarity, I do miss having ultra rare perks, hopefully they will come back some day.

yes what I meant thank you we know PH changes yet?
so are all tier 3 perk going to be purple? I mean purple my favorite color anyways and I wasn't around for the pink perks
0 -
Yeah all tier 3 perks will be purple now, as I mentioned the new Balanced Landing tier 3 will now be purple.
Also here are the Pyramid Head changes:
- Increasing the delay after cancelling Rites of Judgement before Pyramid can attack.
- Decreasing the delay after attacking with Punishment of the Damned.

ok then thank.

What better perks do we have?
Blame the devs for not buffing perks and giving incentive to run others. Also blame killers that play on a certain way that makes a perk meta *cough cough* tunneling *cough cough.*
That being said there is technically nothing wrong with it but you shoudlnt blame survivors for not wanting to be deleted and using perks appropriate for the situation.
0 -
How is it blaming survivors to ask for consistent logic behind changes? If anything it seemed a lot more like they want perks to be rebalanced so they have similar power across the board. Most perks in this game are near useless.
1 -
Uhh ask the devs we arent the ones who did the change nor complained about the perk. That would be good but until that happens dont expect survivor to run bad perks for you.
0 -
Who is expecting survivors to run bad perks? I just asked how that guy was apparently blaming survivors by asking for consistent application of reasoning for changes.
