Rip thana and PGTW

I'm gonna be honest, I've loved Pop since Clown came out, so 45 seconds isn't a big deal to me. In fact, there've been some times recently where I've found a gen and been like "wow, Pop is STILL active." It can afford the nerf. The only issue is the inconsistency between killer and survivor. Oh, 60 seconds is too much leisure time for killers, but here survivors, have your minute of immunity still!
Thana is a great change. If the values for gen slowing are going up that's only positive. It was a pretty oppressive perk with its counter being countered by itself, but it meant the values were always kept pitiful. And what does it matter, it's most used on killers with ways of injuring lots of people and keeping them that way anyway.

I am really, really interested in how much of a luck boost they'll give you to escape attempts. It'd be cool if you could run Slippery Meat, Up the Ante, and a luck offering in solo queue and still have an extremely likely Kobe.

How is this a nerf? If you ignore the perk it's stronger, because gens take longer, if you don't ignore it you have to heal which is a slowdown because you can't do gens??
medkits won't make a difference because if you had a medkit before the slowdown from thana on healing was barely noticeable anyway

I would argue that killers have started around 10 world wars in the past year alone, we're well past world war 3 mate.

After rereading the paragraph about the perk, Its funny how they mention the perk being lose-lose situation for survivor and like killer players often complain of small PP build(DS+Unbreakable) and the irony is that DS+Unbreakable is arguably a bigger lose-lose situation for killer than thanotophobia is to survivor and unlike small PP build, Thano is actually countered by... med kits, inner strength, botany where as Small PP build is kinda uncounterable and a major reason to why some killer players like ScottJund complain about it. Personally Pop goes weasel was only as good as the killer was at using it(getting hooks) and thanotophobia is one of those perks that is better off staying weak and staying unchanged as it being strong can be overwhelming for survivors. they should went for a perk like Surge to improve rather than this one. My prediction with this perk is they'll change it, realize it's kinda too strong for legion and plague and than hopefully it doesn't go pass PTB and stays as some niche perk for builds like Renjiro's Bloody Glove Oni(also known as no power oni).

Oh I agree on your points.
Although I do like their change for Thanata in concept (as long as the numbers are good enough), them calling it a lose/lose as you mentioned is kind of ironic and disingenuous. The "win" scenario of Thanata currently is to just ignore it because it's so weak that it doesn't matter.

You're just whining to whine. The perks will be fine. Do you really need all 60 seconds to pop a gen 💀

This ^
The whole point of Thana is to trick survivors into healing. The proposed changes sounds like this will be achieved more successfully
And if a killer needed the whole 60 seconds to get use out of PGTW, then they simply have terrible map control.

Quit complaining, the changes arent even out yet

The only legit point I've seen is if you're going to do that to Pop, you should do that to DS as well. I have not seen one good reason why DS needs to be 60 seconds, especially in the same argument with Pop being nerfed to 45.
I shouldn't have to set a stopwatch when someone does an unsafe hook. I should be able to punish that.
3 -
DS is 60 seconds because that equals a hook stage, which is the time you would cut from a survivor if you tunneled them immediately. It basically forces you into breaking even.
Now, for the record, I know DS is not exclusively anti-tunnel, but it's ALSO anti-tunnel. I'm not saying that 60 seconds are still a good choice or not. I'm just stating the logic.
Lastly, I don't see at all how Pop and DS are linked. It just sounds like a case of whataboutism.

Thana's change is a buff under every pov. It even buffs some killers running it like plague -> either don't cleanse and have a bigger penalty, or cleanse and be ready for bazooka woman
1 -
Ya i worked on gens until is saw someone else but now that we get a bigger penalty on gens im gonna have to actually heal faster
0 -
Guess you missed the part where they put in the post that Thana would be buffed to slow other things down that aren't healing.
PGTW Change isn't even bad. Be lucky they didn't Nerf the actual percentages it reduces gens by. You just aren't gonna be spamming gens with it like you could get over yourself.

People only complain thano isn't even used that often and why would you heal when you can just power through the gen. I've never seen these 2 perks ever win a game

Cry baby soy killers crying because a perk gets nerfed but probably moaned at survivors who complained about ds nerf. God the hypocrisy of the player base pisses me off.

Killer mains acting like tough guys in matches and they're here crying like babies in a bunny suit.
In 45 seconds you can kick whatever gen you want.

WOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAH 15 SEC REDUCTION THE PERKS USELESS NOW!!!!! Killers whine so much it's hilarious. It's still 25% now there's just an urgency to kick gens faster... It's STILL a top tier perk and i'll still be running it on certain killers.

???? That's literally why they're changing it. They're changing it in a way that will encourage survivors to heal before doing generators. They'll probably change the values so that healing and then repairing is much more time effective than it is to repair then heal.

Maybe wait for the ptb before overreacting?

Even if everyone is injured and it's at t3 there's barely any noticeable difference in the gen speed

Here is a simple math of Thana
Old Thana, when 4 Survivors injured. They get 16% debuff on everything. A Gen from 80sec will be increased to 92sec. 12sec is not even enough time to cross the map. Instead of paying 19sec for healing. They use it to push through Gen. That a lost on Killer.
New Thana. Example if the number is increased to 24% debuff. A Gen from 80sec will be up to 100sec. That bonus 20sec is longer than 16sec healing. That will force players to heal over Gen.
With Sloppy exist, I will try Nurse call & Clauro to make it impossible to heal. 24% debuff will be much easy to achieve than 8 hooks from Dying light.

Okay? That's probably why they're changing it then isn't it? They want to encourage survivors to heal, giving killers more time to traverse the map and pressure gens. Not that hard to figure out.
0 -
You do know that thanatophobia had almost no effect on healing whatsoever, right? Seriously, 16% of 16 seconds? 2.56 extra seconds? At maximum value of 4 injured, hooked or dying survivors? Which means it often wasn't actually 16%, but 4-8%?
Yeah. RIP. Big frigging whoop. However will I contain my sorrow now that the numbers for everything else are getting buffed. I cannot express my pain in the written word, for it is boundless.
1 -
They want to be able to chase and THEN kick a gen, instead of having to make the choice.
0 -
PGTW is weaker but it still has that 25 percent reduction which still makes it strong. And thanatophobia still works I like the change because before I always would work through Thanatophobia because the gen speed wasn't much of a problem. And I use thanatophobia and people push through. Now with a buff to it's repair slowdown. People will need to heal and this will still be good with sloppy.
