Most Anticipated Licensed DBD Chapters

I find the lack of Tony the Pimp, Rawhead Rex and Captain Blake disturbing.

X is gonna give it to yah

Its not based on forum posts alone, its based on google analytics mostly, trends, and name recognition. Sam and Dean are S tier because their google analytics are insane on top of having a significant fan base in this game. And its not just based on the United States, there are a lot of international players who have no idea who the hell Candyman is. (Because for whatever reason his movies on an international level are kinda sloppy.) That'll likely change after Jordan Peele releases his movie on the IP bringing it back up again, but as it stands right now its got more favor in the community than IRL clout. (Which for the sake of the IP I hope changes because it would suck if that movie flopped). I explained the FNAF stuff as its also got an equal portion of negative feedback regarding adding it in.

JAWS ?!

Sleepy Hollow
Blair Witch

Need a source on it tbh.
Regarding Candyman he's my bias but I don't see him being the most sought after from the community. Legit never seen Sam and Dean mentioned outside of this forum and I browse a lot of places so that's why I'm more so surprised so I'd like to see some source to that.

Im pretty sure tony the pimp and rawhead rex would be so far under recognized and under D tier it would be comical. Captain Blake on the other hand.....would still struggle for D tier, because for whatever reason when the Fog had a chance to push out content again they didn't really focus on isolating the lore in a way that emphasized an enemy character. We know Captain Blake exists, he even has action figures....but why the license holders have been sitting on their hands and not exploiting this more is an enigma to me. He could be C to B tier for sure if they pushed him out to the public more.

Literally anywhere that dbd has a presence, there are people asking for supernatural in dbd. Reddit, Discord, these forums, and even Twitter. Although you may not personally like Sam and Dean, there are a ton of dbd fans that do

How Though? I mean, its enough of a mechanical dream to get chucky or the gremlins or the blob to work, how would Jaws even fit into DBD without growing legs? And at that point.....is Jaws with legs even Jaws anymore?
0 -
Not a dislike just surprised. Although if OP has a spreadsheet with sources it's more of a curiosity in wanting to see it rather than disproving.
Only one I legit don't want in this game is Chucky because I don't want to deal with the idea of a manlet that I can punt across the map as a survivor is chasing me or me chasing a survivor as Chucky and mind gaming myself because I can't see #########.

I like the list, but if not for this thread, I would have no clue who Sam and Dean are? I've never seen supernatural.. I thought it was another CW tween show, and never gave it a shot. It might be great, but I don't think they are S tier.
Where is Jason? The Creeper? Sam from Trick-r-Treat? Jack Torrence? Those are up there on my list. Jason and Jack being S Tier for me. Creeper and Sam falling somewhere below.

Jason has the licensing issues going on and the Creeper has issues that can never be resolved

I don't keep spreadsheets, but its not that difficult to find the name recognition on a global scale if you narrow down the results. This comparison is between Sam and Dean, Candyman, and FNAF. Note Its weighted AGAINST sam and dean and the supernatural franchise as I did not just throw in Supernatural as in the show's IP, cause it would be stupid and unfair. https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=today%205-y&q=Sam%20and%20Dean,Candyman%20Movie,Five%20Nights%20at%20Freddy%27s

Jason still has legal issue, Jeepers Creepers creator is a pedo and can never be in DBD, But Trick R Treat....I totally forgot about that one.
1 -
Yeah, and I've also heard people say the licensing issue might be over or over soon.. As one of the most iconic slashers out there, to leave Jason off the list seems absurd. The list is most anticipated, and it might not happen soon or even next year, but I would still expect that he could/would/should make the cut if the dust ever settles from the licensing issue.
Creeper is more of a want than anticipate. I enjoyed the original movie before I knew anything about the director's history as many did. I try to separate the fiction from the POS human that created it, but like everyone else.. wouldn't want him making any royalties off its inclusion.

I meant regarding your entire ranking system but assume that chart can be edited to include those. Is the search queries listed on this just about DBD or just in general? Because if it's just in general then yeah of course the show is going to be ranked higher in results.
What I'm referring to is actual community members engaging in conversation about said topics whether it be like on the media a forum and such. But hey fair is fair you provided a source.

Well the thing is, this game is bigger than every single one of those metrics by itself....its literally bigger than any single license within it. So it makes more sense to compare the metrics of each monster or license by itself, and then gauge community feedback heavier. That way you can see a response to it that would indicate excitement. Like casting a net....except DBD IS THE LAKE! I'd dig more into comments and threads across social media if they weren't so easy to manipulate (like the FNAF spam threads created by the same person over and over again.), instead with the threads I take a look at the ones with the most engagement and measure from there. On top of that, theres a bit of "anticipated, anticipation" to be measured when talking about large franchises who have a lot of reach already, AKA Clout, where even if there is no community forum engagement on the subject, the amount of "Clout" that the subject has would still sway community engagement heavily even if they didn't ask for it specifically. Like Evil Dead.
Evil Dead chapter may not have been on peoples immediate radar, but....the sheer amount of "Clout" that evil dead has is enough to completely swamp community engagement when they released the chapter.
On the same token, you have FNAF, where there is community engagement (as I said I weigh this heavier than just the raw metric) FNAF is in a weird category because theres community engagement in favor, and a big community engagement against it. And its not just "I hate this thing because I'm scared of it" its "I hate this thing because I hate it or it wouldn't fit etc" controversy. If the feedback for it was more positive it would easily be bumped up to A tier. Because it does have those "clout" numbers in a way (numbers that have significantly declined). Negatives in any media have a tendency to dominate narratives.

Where is ALIEN AND PREDATOR!!
0 -
A little bit difficult to add as you cant mimic people voice MAYBE some kind of control survivors with strings?
0 -
Alien is already on the list.
0 -
No Supernatural please. Please.
I'm here for basically all of the other ones though. As it stands right now, my top 5 wants are Hellraiser, Alien , Us, Outlast and The Thing.

I don't ever come across people asking for Sam and Dean Survivors, but to be fair, I'm also not really looking. Not against their inclusion or anything tho. I dont really think they should be S-Tier, but maybe High B-Tier to Low A-Tier.
Additionally, I think that Chucky should be bumped down to a Low A, and the Grudge to a Mid/High A. I don't really see too many people actively accepting Chucky the same way as other killers on that list, and the Grudge gets pretty good feedback, but she really isn't requested super often.
A Tier looks pretty solid, except Tony should be S-Tier w/o a doubt. However, how in god's name are Scooby Doo survivor skins Mid A-Tier, while FNaF is a C-? I see Scooby Doo survivors getting way less requested and way more hate, but perhaps we're not looking at the same places. I'd say a FNaF chapter should be bumped up to atleast Mid B-Tier, and Scooby Doo survivors should be at a High C/Low B at the highest imo.
I'd say The Thing should be a tiny bit higher (around a High C). I see people wanting him all the time, and even though I wouldn't care for him personally, I'd say he deserves a little more.

Wouldnt mind sebastian and box head from evil within as well

yo is that Tony Hawk as a survivor? Can he 50-50 the rail outside the Sanctum of Wrath? Lets go!!!!
1 -
But doctor kill one hit it would kill survivor just one hit I would vote for SCP 106
Power:
Incorporeal:This killer can pass throught objects but recieve a little speed holding M2 speed is reduced to 105% while on that mode.
Pocket dimension: Survivor downed can be teleported to pocket dimension (something like dreamworld but they cant interact with real world) Down they will see a bar (like a bar of sacrifice) the more time they spent looking for the Dimensionals doors back to real world more it consumes. Once the bar is fully depleted it will died consumed by pocket dimension. Each travel to pocket dimension is considered as a hook so if ur bar is half done when u return back and get hooked you are sacrificed.
I think thats the most loyal to lore but not really broken.

I wonder I think devs are really considering FNAF chapter,

Chucky is probably one of my least favourite, as with any other doll-sized Killer. There is no way whatsoever some doll/ leprechaun/ gremlin/ critter creature can exist without taking away every bit of atmosphere, and turning it into one very over-done Benny Hill chase.
0 -
I mean...in Chucky's defense lore wise you're not actually dealing with a "doll". Its a doll thats controlled by a guy who sold his soul and the doll itself is under his control as well as other demonic entities. Chucky pulling people by the leg down a hallway isn't the strength of the doll, its the demons and now ghost of the guy controlling him. As for The Leprechaun <----its a demonic entity none of the rules apply to that thing and it can even change its body to be 20 feet tall, along with teleport...make objects appear, he's on the level of freddy.
As for Critters and the Gremlins, and the blob, they can't get you unless theres multiples which for this game (as I mention in the first post) would be an engineering feat unlike anything seen before. Wouldn't stop them from being a hit.

If we don’t get Sam & Dean between now & December (Supernatural is ending this year) I’mma be upsetti spaghetti.

I agree. Please no supernatural. That show should’ve died after a season or two.

I would like fnaf, or Outlast, maybe My bloody valentine even( sad it didn't get the recognition it deserved though).

I do see your point, and maybe a giant Leprechaun could be scary or just more comical. I'd see it as the latter, but maybe it'll scare some.
But as for Chucky, I just can't see how running from a goofy-looking doll which is either possessed or a rogue AI could be scary. Even with its strength it would just be making me laugh.
However, if they were tomake a human-sized apparition that looks demonic, with the doll floating around the heart area, maybe that would be more unnerving?

Pinhead
Don't tell me 'he's in a lawsuit' as an argument for not wanting him in the game, yes he might be in a lawsuit, but he can still make it into DBD by December 2021. If they don't bring him into the game by that time, he'll be in a similar situation to Jason.
1 -
He's already on the list, and from what I can gather theres no real legal battles over the IP unless something suddenly came up. Jason on the other hand....I have no idea whats going on with that nonsense...
0 -
I want the monster from lights out. She's one of the creepier ones out there imo.
0 -
I will support Mary Shaw all the way. I have been posting about her already and thinking of her powers and mori with some add on ideas. They need to put her in for more jump scare moments which this game definitely needs.
0 -
I think they can give her a scream mechanic like doctor as well, that would be awesome.
0 -
The thing is with the scream factor if you scream with her you're suppose to die which is why I suggest that her terror radius makes everything silenced for the survivor but not the killer. Heres the main issue people will prob have, either her melee will still make you scream in pain and it is just ignored due to she never actually touched anyone in the movie until they screamed so she only kills due to terror not pain or her melee can act like calm spirit. I personally like the first one but I'm fine with both

I will keep on preaching for Carrion.
That could be a terrifying chapter, and it be so unique.
Imagine a flesh blob of eyes and mouths using it's tendrils to grab the environment, moving it around. You could be working in a house on Badham next to a window and a tendril suddenly bursts into the window as the creature moves around you. That would be terrifying, especially if they are undetectable.
An underground jungle facility map with several turrets, mechs and defenses shutdown that suddenly spring to life during the EGC.
It would be so cool.

This is such a good list, you've even included Pumpkin Head and Candyman.

I'd love the Terminator to be in DBD, its chase theme would be sick

I'd like SCP-049 an maybe a D Class a survivor. You could even have it to where the Foundation is throwing D-Class into the Fog

Friday The 13th
Black Christmas
IT
The Nun
The Ring

Nemesis with instadown rocket launcher would be amazing.
Survivor: Anyone but Jill please I still have flashbacks to “that other game” 😖
0 -
Jeepers creepers isn't happening fyi.
The guy that holds the license is a convicted pedo and BHVR would get bad press by buying it.
0 -
Updating this to check off nemesis in the bucket list.

Complete trash without Jason at the top of the list.
