Killer tier list based on how often they camp

For the purpose of this leaving the hook but rushing back = camping, that's why Oni, Billy and especially Spirit are so high.

Good guy Myers the fairest killer of all.

Outside of basement bubba which is extremely rare I have to say a lot of bubba's dont camp. In fact bubba's been weak for a long time so like clown a lot of the people that did use him were pretty good players.

are we playing the same game? Bubba is a notorious face camper because he has an insta down if someone attempts to unhook lol. Also, Myers has stood in a corner by my hook just stalking countless times. It happened a few days ago. I wish I could play your games because I somehow always get the slugging clown and FC bubba/myers

uh... if they rush back to the hook AFTER the unhook i really dont think it should be counted as camping...

also idk where you play but Slinger gets the crown? damn, i usually have Bubbas take that...

Bubba should be in a top class of his own.

I agree about Mikey though. In my experience they rarely camp.

I see a lot of Blights coming FLYING back to the hook as soon as someone is unhooked. Especially if you dare cleanse one of their totems. Or even try

I'm in the UK on the EU servers.

Camping Myers are few and far between for me, very rare. Blight....ok I've barely faced Blight so hard to judge him.

Deathslinger - to date I haven't had one that didn't proxy camp the hook. Not a single one. I'd remember because with Ghostface there has been maybe 3 or 4, so few thats why I remember but with deathslinger I can't recall a single one that ever went to chase another survivor somewhere else, all of them just stick around. I get it he's slow lol but still.

In red ranks Bubba almost never camp. Hag though very often traps the hook which is sort of camping.

Just to be clear I'm totally fine with camping. It's a strategy like many others in the game.

Then you probably play at the same region as the OP. Where i play, EVERY bubba is camping, at least proxy. If we play SWF and you land in the basement, you will be left for dead until its 100% confirmed Leatherface is for whatever reason on the other side of the map. Its a lot better now since the buff, but it is still awful. Even today, last 2 LF straight camped me with Incidious, my only 2 games i lost btw.

I also think camping is a strategy ofc, but its dirty. I dont get why people do it and what the point is.

i love how in my experience it's the exact opposite ahah

I'd move Trapper up a tier, usually ends up similar to Hag, probably Doctor too asDoctor players seem to play very sweaty in my experience. Agree with the 'controversial' Bubba pick - as someone who loves the insidious Bubba meme, sadly only like 5% of Bubbas I face actually camp

I'm the same, somehow despite insidious bubba being the most toxic of all camping builds it's the only one I don't hate 🤣 its best when they give you the nod too. You know you're done for its just a question of how many souls are going down with you.

Yeah insidious Bubba is just different because of the meme, always the funniest ######### when you know they are camping and you see a random run into the basement.

Come on, pigs and demos always play fairly and don't camp/tunnel, they should be in C tier.

I knew people would be surprised by Bubba being in the lower tiers Lol. Most Bubbas I face in red ranks are actually really chill, heck some of them have given me hatch. Haven't ran into a facecamping one in a long time.

Jokes on you, I always return to hook if they unhook when playing blight.

Hmm, you've certainly met a lot of inexperienced deathslingers. I mean, I do camp with him too but mainly when it makes sence (survivors rushing around the hook, good 3 gen, obvious scratch marks leading to the hook etc).

He's so good at chasing that there's no real point to just hang around the hook all match when you could be insted having pretty fast chases. I'd love to randomly face you, it would hopefully result in a match with far less camping then you're used to when facing slingers.

I think he says going after unhook asap using your power to get to the hook in mere seconds like Spirits, Onis and Hillbillies do sometimes, proxy camping is another way of camping.

  • Mister_xD
    Mister_xD Member Posts: 7,669

    still, thats not camping.

camping refers to denying someone the unhook - or at least trying to.

you can do that in two ways: hardcamping / facecamping, which means staying within a very close proximity to the hook, always having an eye on them and proxy camping, which means staying in the area, holding your eyes open for any potential unhookers trying not to let them reach the hook in the first place.

returning to a hook AFTER the unhook has happened however cant be considered camping, as the killer has done nothing to prevent the unhook from happening.

it would be a different story if the killer was using their power to get back to the hook again and again for no real reason, as that would be a proxy camp, however they would have to start that action (phasewalk, chainsawsprint, demondash, whatever) before the unhook has happened for it to be counted.

and then we come to the difficult debate of "what if the killer knew someone was going for the unhook", where we'd have to clarify whether it was actually the intention of the killer to camp their prey or if they were aware of someone else around, just trying to defend their hook.

its always hard to determine when a killer was actually "camping" and when they were not, especially due to that last part.

generally speaking though, if the killer left the area and returns as soon as an unhook has taken place, that can not fall under the definition of camping, as that refers to not allowing the unhook in the first place.

A lot of people in this thread that were apparently face camped by Bubbas (Even the new one) seemingly though I'm also not encountering that nearly that often as Solo Queue R1 from Eastern NA even around rank reset times. My experiences with new Bubba has been a ton of aggressive chainsawing at pallet loops given how massive of a speed boost and duration he gets now. Combined with most people who can't time the pallet drop against him (admittedly risky with dedicated servers at times)... I might see Bubbas "returning" to a unhook explosion just like any other killer who hasn't found anyone else should (Sometime @ClickyClicky is rating here as Hovering "camping") but it's mostly due to survivors needing to successfully identify safe windows or nearby lockers to deal with the new power rework, rather than it being actually oppressive.

This of course is coming from someone who doesn't see nearly as much "face camping" Bubba as others - or already assumes it's not worth trying to save the 4th guy from basement against Bubba when both exits are already powered.

This is BS, I'm sorry, but Deathslinger is not SS that title belongs to Bubba. God bless your rgion though

Camping is subjective, for you is denying an unhook, for me is when you are near the unhooked person in less than 5 seconds (assuming he didnt run into you by mistake or intentionally), not allowing the unhooked any room to get away.

Thats why proxy camping and camping for me its almost the same, I even consider proxy camping worse because is as effective but the savior cant see Killer doing it, so he cant judge if going for the save or going back to do gens to punish the camper. When you see Leatherface camping you go away and fix gens, when Spirit/Hillbilly/Oni rush back to the hook from a distance and appear 2 seconds after unhooking is worse, because I didnt have any possible way to know they would be coming back that fast (well I do know, half the time they do that).

Wraith, Pig, and Ghostie are above the chainsaw brothers. Good to see the boys in S tier finally tho

Surprised pyramid head isn't in s tier, it's where I'd put him. I swear it's like they're working on their next big art project with the amount of trails they're drawing around the hook.

    Pretty inaccurate list tbh.
