Hex totems need a passive effect after they have been destroyed.

I think Hex totems need some passive effect after the totem has been broken. I really think it's imbalanced how Killers lose a perk for using totems even though most of them are not that strong to justify high risk and reward.

They do, it's called Exposed2

I'd be happy if they just stopped them spawning right next to survivors.

Have a minor hex placed on the survivor that broke it. Nothing crazy just a small negative which differs based on the totem they destroy. The survivor is taking the hex from the group and placing upon themself for the good of the team. This would make breaking totems more of a decision based on how much pressure is being applied (ruin requires early game break vs noed which can wait til late game). Hell just up the reward so the burden is worth the risk for the selfless survivor.0

Hmm... So some examples maybe being
Ruin: gain no boosted progress from Great Skill Checks.
NOED: Be put in a Borrowed Time health tick down state if the killer hits you with an attack.
Third Seal: Aura reading range greatly diminished.
Lullaby: you sometimes don't get alerts for skill checks.
Devour Hope: based on when it's broken. Three tokens same as NOED. 5 tokens it functions as a yellow mori except you don't need to be the last one alive.0 -
The old 5% generator repair penalty for Devour Hope could come back once that hex is cleansed.0

Actually I like that better. How long has that been gone?0

Those sound pretty good. Survivors shouldn't be discouraged from breaking them, just cautious as to when its most beneficial.0
