Nowhere has anyone refuted that this totem counters its own counter, which again, is an example of poor game design. Im not saying the perk is too strong, nor did i say it was too hard. Something countering its counter is unfun to go against, and braindead to use, its bad game design 101. Its power should be shifted so you dont get internal synergy from a single perk slot. It'd be like if thanataphobia had nurses calling as well as the base effect, countering its counter, it would be unfun to go against and take zero skill to use to its max potential. If y'all dont get my intent by now dont bother responding, tired of having to redirect people to my original point as they're busy building strawmen.

Ruin/Undying can be destroyed. At all times. There's even perks that both hide your aura and tell you exactly where totems are. It can also be ignored and worked through if you commit to gens. Killers can only pressure one gen at a time.
DS/UB has no counter. Slugging isn't a counter, cause unbreakable. Eating the DS isn't a counter, cause it's DS.
Argue with someone you can beat.

lol wut. Your logic is like a colander. I pour big-picture sensibility and balance in, and they both just go on right through, leaving behind your noodles.
But, if Undying only made the hex totem rejuvenate itself after being broken and not moved around, then it might be a slightly different story, and that slight difference could change everything about what I said.

Haha, we were just talking last night about when Undying gets nerfed after it's been in the game long enough for the Devs to review. Here's the thing players, if you're getting a lot of 3-4k with that combo, you can bet something will be nerfed. The rounds aren't meant to take 20-30 minutes.

I also don't see any issue with Undying. Just run Small Game or Detectives Hunch and you're good as survivor...

one offers you totem locations when a gen is finished, the other offers you totem locations when you get close to one. I think those are already pretty fair.

Or just learn totem's locations so you wouldn't have to change one out of 4 second chances into an utility perk.

Here’s another kicker: I have layed off slugging quite a bit since undying/ruin as I have more time to “just play the game”. Take away this combo and it will be right back to leaving a survivor or two on the floor so I don’t get gen rushed to death.
post after post are survivors complaining about slugging, we finally get something to help alleviate the need for that, and then it’s right back to complaining.

Ruin Undying is very bad for the general player base imo, it forces survivors to tryhard even if they don't want to. Good for High level, dogshit for casuals.

I don't think the aura reading needs touched at all. Survivors just need to calm down; quit power-rushing the totems the moment they see them; take a few seconds to approach one then back away - wait a couple seconds to see if killer may be heading that way, then reapproach - Undying just makes Survivors have to be more cautious of their surroundings when they're taking care of totems instead of the cleansing action just be an off-handed "oh look, bones, let's do them" as they're sprinting through an area.
And it's only a 2m raidus; for maximum 6 seconds - and the killer has to be looking in the direction of the totem to see you; unlike ToTH that gives an audio-location que to get your attention.

The aura reveal part of this perk is only there because they needed to make it scale with the tier of the perk. Another reason why perk tiers should be removed.
Btw they did the same thing to Lightborn.

Honestly, I think Undying needs a nerf. The information it gives and the protection it grants to totems, especially Ruin, makes playing against the high mobility characters unbelievably oppressive. I wouldn't complain about it at all if it didn't give the x-rays of a person near it, it makes breaking the totem damn near impossible when they show up in a couple blinks. A smart killer will rotate totem defense and generator patrol, and on a killer like Spirit she can be virtually everywhere as well. The game turns into a complete slog and it becomes just generally unfun, and that's my personal experience with it.
