I love solo queue (not sarcastic)

I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but I honestly love solo queue, like i know I sound crazy, but Its honestly so much fun to see who you're gonna get put with, locker dwight's, blendettes, meg heads, you never know and I dont run crutch perks anymore either. I love to run this is not happening, camaraderie, lightweight, and up the ante just some random perks like its so much fun to just play the game, I don't get frustrated when teammates leave because whats me dying really gonna do to me make me miss a few blood points, make me lose a pip to my rank, like I dont care anymore solo queue is fun, again though I swear I'm not crazy

I only play solo queue & it's fine.

I will say, console players are... You can definitely tell that they play differently. Even at red ranks. A lot more stealth. They dive bomb hooks. They always run & never heal or stay to get healed - even if you're running we'll make it.

I actually had to disable crossplay because they're so...not my playstyle. Even with longer queues, it's worth it.

I also only play solo queue and have no problems. Most of the time my mates are pretty solid and its rare to see a campy killer. So yeah its fun.

I agree... I don't care what happens to me

It is fun to see what happens in Solo Queue

I think it's harder for Solo Survivors and possibly more frustrating right now, but yeah it's something I enjoy as well - there's the whole randomness to it that makes it quite fun. I also love it when you've got some pretty good team mates in solo and can work as a team, even with the limited amount of communication in game, a point and a "come hither" can actually convey quite a bit of information when used at the appropriate time.

This is pretty much solo queue, you either get an uncordinated team versus a very sweaty and good killer. Or you get paired with a very objective focused team that get stuff done.

I wish DBD would add a small ping system of some kind like in Rainbow six and PUBG. You could ping a medkit and survivors within certain range would see it, same with gens and hooked survivors. It would be not that difficult to balance it out either maybe only have people that are 16-20 meters or so see it this way perks like kindred and bond would still be good perks to run in solos and not to much of a waste.

@Axe why don't you make a thread in suggestions & feedback for that. It would be interesting to see other people's opinions. I quite like the idea of being able to ping things in the game, it does make sense specifically for solo players...it can also be used by killers for them to pin specific things as well, for example a gen that they know is closer to completion (I always forget which one, after I got into a chase).

I absolutely love solo que....in my eyes it's how the game was supposed to be played

Im on console red ranks and I don't do those things....I feel my game sense is what gets me my survivor rank not my looping skills

I'm quite the opposite, tbh. I play serious in solo que, because I don't wan't to seem like a complete sausage and let my teammates down.

Back when I first got the game, I would play with my brother, little cousin and a co-worker of mine. We would have a few beers and laugh at each others mistakes and move on. It just didn't seem as stressful. They don't play anymore and I've been solo for about 7 months now.

I'm pretty used to it by now, but it's nice to see others that can still enjoy themselves in solo.

You probably are not sarcastic but you definetly crazy in my eyes,I hate swf with a passion, the worst unfun games I had we're in soloq, even got death threats from crazy salty survivors,no thanks,I rather not play dbd than go soloq.

I've never really been big on swf while I do infact enjoy solo queue. There are the frustrating games, but it feels much more like a challenge and the way the game was meant to be played.

Same! My SWF tends to be completely silent if not joking around. So there will be multiple people running to a hook even if someone says "Is anyone going for the save?" and no one responds. Maybe it's because when you can't voice chat to the other players when you solo q, you can't expect them to know what's going on and communicate back. I have to continually check myself and not take the game so seriously lol. I love KYF though, that's just fun.

I prefer solo games. Is it just me that likes not having to talk to people?

Even if that is not the case: Not having to listen to people munching on chips, slurping their coffee, shouting and screaming, burping down their mic and squabbling with their siblings.

There is also poorer atmosphere in SWF games. I feel like as a survivor, I am expected to die. SWFs expect to win and that feels wrong to me.

I also like solo queue (and hate playing any game on comms). I think it's kind of fun that everyone drops in with their own agenda and build and then you all just try to make it work.

I heal. I stay to get healed. I'm on console. The only time I run off is if Spine Chill is active.

As a whole, console players are just more deliberate than PC players, they're more cautious and less likely to take a risk unless they feel like there is no choice. As for healing, if it's right after a hook the general mentality is "don't stick around, the killer'll probably come back here."

I much prefer solo-queue than SWF because I generally get to do more in a match. If we're all of equal rank (great joke, I know......) then I'll have a longer and more involved match in solo-queue than in SWF. Usually more deaths, but as long as I do well enough to not de-pip then I'm fine.

De-pips for me aren't usually a lack of my skill either. The times that I do are genuinely because the killer doesn't feel like playing the game at all and face-camps or tunnels me into oblivion, or they're some tryhard Rank 1 against an all purple team with a green that goes ham with a killer like Oni with Infectious and 4-Man slugs. Also the type to then complain about DS/UB when they won't take the time to have an actual game. Just saying.

Not all console players play like that. For example that's how pc players play from my POV. Am I wrong? Yeah because that's only my experience. Don't make this a console vs pc because both sides have some pepegas

Agreed, as someone who mainly solo queues (not because I don't have friends, it is just that they don't like the game nearly as much as me and aren't the best at it), it is funny when you play with baby dweets. Usually, I end up dying trying to help them escape by taking one too many hits (they still don't get out unless the rest of the team is decent). However, it can be frustrating to play sometimes because of the same reason. Sometimes I just feel like winning and would like to play an intense game, but then a no mither david joins and dc's on first down. But yes, just learn to enjoy solo queue. A build I recommend for solo queue is prove thyself, bond, kindred, and we'll make it. I have a discussion that explains a little about why I chose these perks and what they will help you with.

I'm majorly a solo queue and I share some sentiments that some of you have put in here.

I like it, it's fun and I enjoy it because I never know what I'm going to get. Sometimes you get a super uncoordinated team and nothing will get done. Sometimes you get campers or tunnellers and the game will go super-slowly as I die on the first few minutes with 3k of bloodpoints. Sometimes, you will get an incredible well-assembled team and they will gen-rush the poor killer right off the bat. It's a gamble always.

Lately, I've gotten some bad experiences with toxic survivors blasting at me on chat for whatever reason on higher ranks like they expect me to know how to do everything -- gen-rushing, looping the killer, somehow knowing where they are so I don't accidentally bring the killer to them...

Nevertheless, it does not deter my experience with the game in general. Just deters my intent to socialise with other players. I must also say me experience with the forum has been cordial, everyone I've talked to has been a good sport.

I'd suggest Better Together as a possible change for Bond. That way you can highlight your location to other survivors when fixing a generator to other players, but it's a give or take. I do like your idea overall. I might try it one of these days, thank you!

I am solo. But I always run left behind. Becuz I'm left behind quite often. Even if I drop everything and beeline for the save, the guy just kill himself by the time I get there.

I can see what you mean with better together, but bond is still superior. For example, you could just go over and gesture someone who is new, such as a baby dweet to come follow you. It also gives you more information on what your teammates are doing. Or.. maybe you could bring any map with a glass bead to let everyone know where you are (baby dweets love the light btw) it always works for me when I see a default dwight in my lobby. You could then replace bond with spine chill. It is up to you what you would like to try out.

I mean when you get paired up with teammates who aren't afraid to do things, I love solo queue. Otherwise no. The game wasn't made so that 1-2 people have to repair all the generators, be able to run the killer AND take all the aggro.
