Playing Blight on a Controller

Unlike most people here I do not have a problem playing the blight [Besides Camera] but its more of a.....hit box problem.

Question is if I use a Chip Monocle will I get better at aiming for spots I can slam off of instead of getting stuck in one spot?

Only problem is I just get stuck in spots since idk where I can and can't land and I heard that this add on can help you memorize the slams.

Watch videos from people playing him with a mouse...

It's not a problem of being bad with a controller. It's a problem for being fair.

We paid the same price for it and we want to be able to do the same things..

But... I know it's impossible so let's move on..

Um kinda confused on what you mean by "Fair".

PC players also use controllers and The PC game has controller support.

Plus would that mean your saying that people should use a controller for console only and mouse/keyboard for PC only?

It's not because I am bad with a controller [Which is kinda offensive that you said that] It's just me remembering where I can slam against something because somethings look like you can slam against but turns out you cant and things that should be impossible to slam on is possible and causes me to get stuck.

I feel like there are things with blight i can't do with a controller, watch a few truetalent clips he can do some awesome hits with blight but on a controller he feels super sluggish when swinging and i can't figure out how to do some of the turns pc players do and frankly im things that its just not possible with a controller.

I would love the devs to address this but knowing them they might nerf him instead of standardizing him across all platforms.

Yeah to be honest I think has to be Sensitivity on the controller or maybe Blight has a totally different sensitivity when using a controller so its only the killer and not the controller.

Really hope if the devs do something again with him it will be "A" Make his camera higher so you can see loops cause he is taller then a survivor but yet camera shows he is smaller.

"B" Make it so when he turns he is slightly faster so wont have to be constantly using the turning addons all the time.

"C" Maybe make it so when your stuck you can slide a bit before ending power so you have a chance to atleast get unstuck.

I never said you were bad. I don't even know you, chill.

What I meant is Blight is way better with a mouse even if you're a super pro with controller and all I wanted was equal terms.

But that's my opinion, no need to be offended or aggressive.

    Have a nice weekend!

Ah sorry thought you were typing it in a sarcastic way, Can't tell since just text and no one is speaking so can't really tell what if they are being sarcastic or giving advice. So my bad.

Blight isn't a killer who gets exponentially better with m&k vs controller. If you're good with a controller, you're good with Blight. The only time it is even slightly an issue is post-slam lookabouts, but even then it's not a huge issue and can be heavily mitigated by being good at Blight.

what I found most difficult with the blight on controller (ps4) are the instant decisions hits:

assume you are chasing a survivor in a short hallway (or a loop acting like one), you might want to bounce on the left/right wall, instantly turn again forward and rush + lunge. With a mouse this is straightforward, while on a controller the two 90° turns you need to make (notwithstanding the adjustment for the eventual survivor jukes) are very, very difficult to do efficiently.

There's nothing the devs can do to fix that though, I guess I'll just need to git gud.

Nahhh.. I watched Scott jund playing him without add-ons and he could turn way more while rushing as if I was using umbra salts add-on on controller... It's very different unfortunately.

I can't say I agree. After watching people play Blight on PC, they can make much sharper turns in Rush and Lethal Rush than controllers can. They can make like at most a 65-70 degree turn while controllers can make a 35-40 degree turn at most. Blight is just worse on controller.

I've heard people saying that playing blight with a controller is harder than nurse on a controller.

Can't really say since I stopped using a controller since I moved to pc.

On Xbox the Blight suffers from fps drops with each slam, and the game stutters with his injection animation when you then try to look around with Co. 21.

It is much worse on the indoor maps. Even with turning stuff you cannot swing him around fast enough anyway, he has no flick potential, and his lunge I'd say is wonky & agrivated by the frame drops.

The story might be different with a mouse, but that is not enabled on Xbox for this game sadly.

How is turning either left or right a huge advantage only PC players get?
