Balance around good/decent team of survivors. Not a 4 man swf depip squad or anything. Even coordinated solos can give killers a run for their money with no problem right now.
Do the same for killers. Not everyone is a sweaty 4k only Spirit and Freddy Otz level killer. Killers deserve to have fun too.
So probably balance for a skill level a higher than the average player, but not the top 5-10% or anything. Just above average.

Check the Controversy part.
Basically there was a mini game which needed you to rotate the hard plastic analog stick, as fast as possible of course, to win. People got blisters by the friction. Instead of using the thumb to rotate the stick, they used the palm or the base of the thumb. Happened to a Childhood friend if i remember correctly.

Casual killers do win. Balancing killers around a top SWF is a wrong move. That is closing the door to new players, or casuals trying to enjoy the game in solitude. Nobody wants to play with a zero chance of opening the gates and it is almost to that point. A killer with Undying, survivors are hitting the floor like dead flies. The game would have a much higher playerbase if it was friendlier for everyone. Killers get mad at survivors for using meta perks all the time but there is no way to possibly win with Urban Evasion and the other stealth perks when every killer has a full load out of aura perks, slow down perks, etc.

Imo what is insidiously killing this game is the horrific matchmaking and nonsense rank reset (needs to be the old rank reset). Both of these things are a huge reason why the bodies hit the floor.
can’t have an over abundance of potatoes in higher ranks due to current rank reset, or have a random group of a red/purple/brown/brown v. A red killer because of matchmaking. In the latter case, even if the red isn’t a potato, once the killer identifies the two weak (browns) and downs them the skilled surv has little chance. This will make all 4 survivors feel the game is unbalanced when in fact it’s just craptastic matchmaking. (I have no answer for rainbow swf as that is an entire other problem). Flip it to a brown or yellow killer v. Decent to good purple/red survivors and it’s the same effect.
I personally feel killers and survivors are in a pretty good place if paired with and against players of similar skill level.
edit forgot to add: until solo Q v. Swf is truly addressed by the devs, there can’t be balance. Killers are by themselves so their part of that equation is moot.

Solo vs SWF is an easy fix.
Add voice chat.
Such systems are native to basically every platform the game runs on.
The only ones where voice chat wouldn't work are platforms like Mobile, Switch, or Stadia, which barely even work as functioning copies of the game.

True. Sadly, people turn it into a competitive game, because to them it's all about winning, and doing anything to get that win. What they don't care to realize is that sucks the fun out of it.
