New exhaustion perk idea (yes, its actually good)
Long Run
When hit by the Killer, break into a sprint at 150% movement speed for 3 additional seconds.
Causes the Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
Being hit by the Killer will always take a single health state while the perk is active.
"This is just a warm-up lap right?"

Does the last part mean chainsaws are no longer instant downs? If so, this is a bad idea.
9 -
That would just negate every insta down killer.
3 -
O look a another nerf to billy, leatherface, michael, ghost face, Oni,NOED, Devour hope, make your choice, iron maiden, rancor, Dragon graspe, and all instant down/exposed addons.
Please tell me this is bait.

If the last part ia also on cooldown then it may work.

Not really. It's like balanced landing where the secondary effect doesn't work when you're exhausted. And plus Survivors would have to run this perk instead of Dead Hard and Sprint Burst.
So its unlikely you'd see it that often merely because of the competition from the other exhaustion perks and the fact that they're more useful against Killers that can't insta-down, which again is most Killers.

Hey look its an exhastion perk that also nullifies all instadowns and gives sprint burst, This is totally not overtuned at all and in no way could be abused
10 sarcasms out of 10 great concept
Just make it something like this to keep the concept but change it a bit
When hit by the Killer, break into a sprint at 150% movement speed for 3 additional seconds.
Causes the Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
If you would go down from being hit while not exhausted instead delay the damage for 3 seconds and break into a 150% sprint, then enter the dying state

No dude. We don't need another second chance.
1 -
So, a sprint burst that negates insta down, and lasts for 5 seconds?
(Additional 3 seconds to already having 2)
Pass. Please, hard pass. That's too strong.
2 -
It's Adrenaline without the heal everytime you get hit. It also negates all insta-downs. Sprint Burst and Dead Hard are not competition for that.
1 -
It's oddly similar to Adrenaline, isn't it?

It sounds like when people complained about Soul Guard as being overturned... when it reality it wasn't strong enough to compete with the meta perks at all. Just because it sounded like a crazy concept

Sprint Burst can give you the positioning to get to a loop and avoid the early hit altogether. Dead Hard is essentially a third health state if you use it right. Somehow I feel like most Survivors wouldn't change their lineups.

If dodging a oneshot was a once per trial, they perk would've been good, otherwise it is broken because it 1) Negates instadowns all the time 2) Doubles the distance gained by the survivor once they are hit which extends chases even more.
Not being able to run other exhaustion perks doesn't justify the effect.
are you talking about the perk that is used by like every 4th tryharding claudette with smallpp combo? Soul guard is used very frequently because of 2 extremely strong effects it gives.
1 -
Why take a 3 second SB when you can take a 5 second SB? Combine this perk with Lightweight or even something like Dance With Me or Poised, and you're gone.
3 -
Send it to Otzdarva. Sounds like the kind of thing that would fit perfectly in his community suggestion list.

I would like the idea to be this

Wow, that's horrible design.
Reminds me of old MoM. Extremely overpowered effect with no downside that happen passively without any imput of survivors, rewarding them for their failuers.
Where are the killer perks that instantly down survivor if killer loses the chase. Sounds just as fair.
3 -
Soul Guard didn’t quite make the cut because half of its use required the killer to have a hex perk.
With undying/ruin being THE meta right now there has never been a better time for soul guard to shine
1 -
Almost no one runs Decisive/Unbreakable/Soul Guard. It's just too many perk slots dedicated to one thing even if it is strong.
It's pretty much reserved for the sweatiest Red Rank players of all. I see it maybe once every 10 games. Soul Guard has no where near the usage of perks like Sprint Burst, Dead Hard, Unbreakable, Decisive, Iron Will, Self-Care, Adrenaline, Borrowed Time, Resilience and Spine Chill.
0 -
And oddly enough(not really) it still does not shine because the perk is just too situational and needs 2 others perks to work.

I see Soul Guard pretty often.

How about:
[Insert perk name]
- You have a hard time staying awake but you also have a hard time falling asleep
- You receive 40/40/30 seconds of Exhaustion upon entering a locker. Exhaustion recovery speed while in lockers is increased by 50/70/70%.
just because I can
