Is cheating still a thing in this Game? my guess is of course yes.

I ask this question because.

I was playing a round on PC and it was against a PC killer too. They were finding people almost instantly with only the blood favour perk on.

I watched someone totally fill their wiggle bar so it went away and they were still able to be put on a basement hook and this isn't the it just filled as you're being hooked thing.

this happened twice in a row with this person, After the game I called them out on the wired behavior and was promptly called a ######### and that they can't cheat in the game because it has anti cheat, but those two things combined seemed way to off to not be someone playing dirty. "it was "probably just lag" isn't gonna fly.

OK let me explain my response

    1. Do you have evidence
    2. Did you finish process
    3. If You mean finding people at the start of the match very quickly there are strats you can learn to find people quickly
    4. Why would you talk to the cheater? Even if you forgot to record, making them think they got away with it could get them into a game where someone did record and they were cheating.
    5. For the future I recommend using a recording tool so you can always have evidence while playing.

The person who actually was effected by this alleged cheating is dealing with it themselves and yes they do have evidence, I was just asking in general. because if so Come on people

So, I just started playing this game a couple of days ago, and I was enjoying it until I saw an entire game cheating.

Basically, it seemed like a normal game. The killer was chasing us all around, and seemed pretty good. I helped one of his victims off the hook, which is when he appeared and stabbed and hooked me. No one helped me down.

I decided to watch the end of the game. I thought watching better players might help me see how to survive longer.

I saw the remaining three survivors and the killer working as a team. The killer lead the survivors to generators, and watched them fix them. He then watched them all escape. The final survivor waited in the exit area for the killer to strike them, he then let the survivor crawl away to victory.

The whole thing was strange to watch. Does this happen often? It seemed like everyone knew what was going on except me.

If you or anyone you know encounters someone you believe is cheating and breaking the game rules in any other way, a in-game report is mandatory and any video evidence, please send it to support: https://support.deadbydaylight.com

This isn't necessarily cheating. It's a process known as "farming", where players will try their best to prioritise points over anything. Killers may farm if there's an early disconnect, or a survivor dies very early (as seemed to be the case with you, since nobody saved you). I'll admit, it's a bit suspicious, but not necessarily cheating.

I wish I was able to record it, but I’m not set up for that.

I’m guessing it’s fairly common if it has a name. So, you’re saying they may not have been working together, the killer just decided to let them rack points up?

I don’t know if I was clear on the first post, but I assumed it was cheating, because the killer stood at the generator with the survivors. They could see him, he could see them. He wasn’t hiding in the shadows or anything. What they were doing was pretty blatant.

Cheating or farming it’s not standard play, which is why it was weird to watch. It mostly made me feel stupid for trying to help the other survivors, and play properly when this obviously wasn’t a real match.

I had few days ago a game where some player was simply standing in the place i came closer as clown to him and attacked him once to see will he move then just like that poof man disappeared like a lag switchers do. I found him later and hooked twice, then after that the man was running like 0.1 m/s faster than me. It was soo obvious especially since i have almost 2k hours in the game and know difference between surv running speed and killers but to make things more obvious even if i used tonic as a clown to slow him down he still kept running that 0.1 m/s faster without even slowing a little bit. Ye i reported in game but as devs/mod always say in game is mandatory and video evidence. The problem is not every single person have pc for streaming and not every single person record his/her game. Even if we have recording software we usually in the chase where we notice hacking don't have time to start program and record...

Before they implemented mmr system and killer locking survs first had more and more lobby viewing hacks (to see against what killer they go). Then when many players which were me among them tried to raise awareness about that cheat no response were give instead in the next update they locked killers in lobbies so that you could not last second switch in order to avoid complete counter play by surv perks.

Then after that steadily but more and more people started using more invasive cheats like the ones where they could control completely game like they own their servers. And people again tryed to raised voice for that only so that few threads like this one get response in game report and video evidence is mandatory...

One other game after cheater made them escape (this is completely different game) they used something like old bnp system poping gen only by touching it. Then later in the end game chat when i called them they kicked me out of lobby so that i could not even submit in game report. And the ones who do not do that simply call you the names and loser for seeing them hacking.

From my perspective the reporting system is broken... more like whole system is broken when it comes to hackers... So either you keep playing this game or leave when hackers come in your game or you just quit till they fix it. The one thing is sure if someone does not stream or record the game they are completly immune to hacking in this game until the anti cheat system is upgraded...

Yes, it's rampant, and there's nothing we can do about it until the devs bother to do something about it, and they won't.

It's definitely not rampant and there are things we can do about it. At the same time, the report system needs many improvements.

Given the fact that VPNing as killer is not counting as cheating to the devs despite it making the game unplayable to the survivors, lag switching isn't that uncommon, and working with survivors/killers is incredibly common to the point that I've reported with evidence a number of times with no results...no, there clearly isn't anything to be done about it.

I wouldn´t neccessarily agree that it´s rampant but if you play a lot you will come across hackers several times a week or even within a day if you´re unlucky.

Unless you record all your gameplay and send these recordings to BHVR, they can´t take action since they are unable to detect hacks/exploits and bannable offenses without video proof sent by the players. There´s definately lots of room for improvement there.

If the games are played on your own servers, you are able to easily put in place a means by which to detect hacks and exploits. They're just too lazy to bother with it.

Ofc it does. Just today I had a match with speedhacking claudette. Hopefully my report with video evidence will get her banned.

Good for you, i missed many hackers cz i didn't record it at the given time...

Yes. It used to be very rare to find hackers but now I've been finding a few a week.

Before I only saw one in a whole year.

it could have been a bug. I was personally in a match with a friend, whom I can confidently say was not cheating. He was hit by the killer and was somehow given a roughly 2 minute speed buff, we were both surprised, but i do think it was a bug. The killer was Hag.

In game reports do nothing but make you feel good and I can never get support ticket to work right from my Xbox. Why can't they get some play back software? Because there to cheap to really care to fix it. Love how the mods don't make a dollar but run crowd control for people who are just sick of us wanting a better game.
