Borrowed Time But Balanced
For me Borrowed Time is an important perk BUT it is not even close to balanced if compared what I have in mind to it, and I have a HUGE buff to the intended use and a HUGE nerf to the NOT intended use of the perk.
Problem right now: people can bodyblock for the unhooker eventhough you dont want to hit them you are forced to.
I would suggest following changes:
- IF the rescuer is full health then the first hit on the unhooked survivor is transfered to the rescuer not triggering deep wound on anyone and resets the timer for borrowed time again. If the unhooked survivor is hit the second time while MORE then 8m away from the rescuer the deep wound effect applies now BUT if the unhooked survivor is still inside 8m radius of the rescuer the protection effect is ignored and he goes into the dying state
- If the rescuer is injured then deep wound effect applies on the first hit (just like we have it now)
- Healing someone, selfhealing, unhooking or reparing will remove the protection effect.
- Borrowed time is triggered inside of 28m radius of the killer independend from his terror radius
- 1 - Optional: BT time is paused while in chase but shortened overall (this will still be exploitable by stealth killer BUT they can do it right now so this is a buff eather way.)
- 2 - Optional: Deep Wound is cancled imidiantly after unhooking, repearing or healing someone and results into dying state. Which means you can still do those stuff mentioned and the timer will deplet BUT if you stop it you go down imidiantly
What these changes above would achieve:
- Gives 2 protection hits instead of 1 IF the killer is REALY tunneling the survivor!
- Removes the ability to bodyblock against a killer who is NOT tunneling (because the hit is still transfered)
- Removes the abuse of the invurnarble status for progress gain
- 1 - Option: Would further more act against tunneling (waiting out BT)
- 2 - Option: Would prevent the Deliverance into BT into BT into BT (yes happened to me several times). And give a gamble aspect e.g. if you can do the generator in time to trigger your adrenalin to heal deep wound or you go down.
BTW: This change would still fit the name "Borrowed Time" perfectly because you also borrow the time from your teammate if you are tunneled! You even borrow twice the amount of time!
WHY: Because I hate that abuse of game mechanics! Borrowed time is there to defend not to attack but against me a non tunneling killer it is used to attack all the time. If I play fair I want to play a fair game too!
PLEASE DEVS! PLEASE!

or just have the unhooked person lose collision? stops them bodyblocking and stops killers bodyblocking them...

This would not work? if you have no collision then you are invurarble??? but if you have only no collision but still can be hit what will prevent from running inside of the other survivor still defending him?

BT is made to not make hook trades. Your "issue" is the perks purpose. Its fine as it is despite it should work distance-wise instead of TR-wise.

These changes are overly complicated and Borrowed Time is fine as is. Yes survivors can exploit it but I much rather them do that then have them bring a perk like unbreakable or decisive.

NO! My issue is to run behind as survivor who is running to the hook and saves the person from the hook who is his SWF friend that exactly nows that he will now bodyblock for his buddy resulting in invurability for both of them! I DONT WANT to hit the unhooked guy I want hunt the unhooker!

No, it's made to counter camping and tunneling off the hook. If you're reckless enough to unhook directly in the Killer's face, you should go down. Hook trades are fair and balanced. Removing them with a Perk is stupid.

Hook trades make absolutely no sense. Thats why BT exists.

And thats what BT should prevent. If I unhook someone with BT and they just run away resulting in me getting hooked instead not using BT wouldnt have made any difference. Its sad you do not understand whats the purpose of BT.

Just make it time-based instead of basing it off of TR or distance.
If the Killer is within X distance for X seconds, BT will be able to proc.
This stops Survivors from being able to abuse BT by getting unsafe unhooks as the Killer is walking away, but it still allows it to be anti-camp AND it will affect Killers who can turn off their TR.

Lol you want it nerfed even more? It used to work on both the person being unhooked and the person unhooking. Now it's just the person unhooked. All it does is counter tunneling now so its not even good if the killer is somewhat competent and goes for the person unhooking. It was better and more balanced before the nerf if anything.

The perk is literally made to save the survivor when the killer is camping or tunneling them so they could take that hit instead of going down, BT isn’t meant to be a hook trade perk and never should be if you think BT is a problem or “un balanced” your probably one of those killers who tunnels the person who got unhooked.

Or just like sleepy said have the person who just was unhooked have no collision. no need for unnecessary changes

You run up directly in front of the Killer and try to pull your friend off a hook.
The Killer is RIGHT THERE. He has a WEAPON. You are doing something DIRECTLY IN FRONT of the Killer.
Going down for doing something that stupid and reckless is not unfair. It is what you deserve for making a bad—nay, terrible—play.

BT should get 2 changes imo:
1) When BT is active the survivor has no collision with the killer.
2) BT activation is based on killer proximity, not terror radius.
BT is a great perk that really feels like it should just be base kit to deter camping and tunneling imo (and it's stupid that it doesn't work against Freddy).
But like most things in this game, it's hardcore abused by swfs who just actively throw themselves at the killer to body block when it's active, giving you no choice but to swing or wait 15 seconds staring at the guy assuming they unhooked in your face and even then they probably have ds.

When i play with my friend i run BT, DS, UB and DH only because all those perk can be exploit easy. So having BT dont remove DS or UB and its the same for a lot of survivor

The problem with the use of bt right now is, even when the killer wants to go for the unhooker they get bodyblocked by the invincible unhooked person which then uses the speed burst from the hit to get away themselves. This leaves the killer either way with both survivor gone and one of them "suffering" the deep wounds.
I personally simply tunnel vision the unhooker until I get a hit and ignore the unhooked. If the latter decides to bodyblock me for example in a door frame, they get focused and slugged if they want my attention so badly. At some point I am fed up with making the effort to not tunnel.
Edit: Still love autocorrect on mobile.

This would be the most complicated perk to ever be introduced when it already works fine. Will never happen. Too complicated and sounds wack
