As a killer main, I just want everyone to be aware that if you run Ruin/Undying you are no different than a survivor running DS/Unbreakable. You all have a smol pp. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Well, you´re entitled to your opinion. Against a Totem Killer I at least can do bones. Against a DS+UB/SG user I have literally no option other than leaving them be if I don´t want to throw the game.

That's an exaggeration. Just like I could say that against a Ruin/Undying combo it's pointless to look for totems and I have no choice but to power through Ruin.

Not necessarily because survivors have choices to still win but with ds/ub/sg it’s take the stun or watch them get up and run away again no objective being completed

Unlike ds/unbreakable, ruin/undying has clear counterplay. Also how does such a statement make sense in 2020?

Just eat the stun. Eat it early. Presume every survivor has it, and attempt to try an eat 4 stuns by mid game. Problem solved.

So when the killer is told to have a smol pp it's a big problem. Ruin/undying I'd the smell pp killer build. Its "clear" counterplay wastes major time in solo. In swf it's still an extremely strong build.

Right that's why every post attacking both sides gets bombarded with killers in the comments. Even if there are an equal number of users on "both sides" then that would mean that killer biased users are more easily offended, emotional, and illogical, no?

That is the part that you do not understand, when I down several survivors inbetween, hook them and still get hit by ds there was no tunneling at all yet I still get hit by ds so tunneling is no requirement for ds.

A gameplan based around playing fair and respecting survivors will not get you hit by DS out of nowhere. 60 seconds is 2 chases, so if you chase another survivor before going after the recently unhooked one you should be in the clear. Of course respecting your opponents is a foreign concept on these forums.

I get hit by DS very rarely. By now it´s become a habit to assume every Survivor is running it, and this has served me well. Problem is it´s not feasible to just eat the stun. It renders the chase that led to it completely wasted, and if I decide to go for that Survivor after eating the stun, this would translate to 100 seconds of gen time completed in a worst case scenario for the Survivors.
5 second stun = 20 meter headstart, 4.6m/s Killer gains 0,6m/s = 33.33 seconds of additional chase time (not accounting for any loops, pallets or windows). 3 survivors on gens for 33.33 seconds = 100 seconds worth of gens are being done during that time, or 25% of total gen time required. This is only 1 DS. If you eat all 4 and the Survivors don´t sleep it gives them enough time to do all the gens.
So I slug. Great! It would require another Survivor to pick up the slug, effectively pressuring two of them by that. But they run Unbreakable, so no one needs to pick em up and I didn´t get a hookstate ouf of them. It´s a complete waste, the chase led to nothing, this is why a Killer should never tunnel against non-potato Survivors (from a technical efficiency standpoint, obviously it makes for boring games as well).
I only ever ran Ruin/Undying on Oni. More often than not both are gone within 2 minutes max, so I kinda fail to see how this is OP, but to each their own I guess.

Let me just throw my game getting all 4 DS out the way. That's really good counterplay that.
As for OP, maybe if you run it on spirit, nurse, hag and Freddy then yea id say that's pretty smol pp. Other than that all the other killers are fine with it. Nobody cares if a clown runs ruin undying or a Slinger or a Plague etc.

Undying and ruin have counter play. Don't wanna do totems? Thats fine but don't complain about the gen regressing when you get pushed off the gen. There's 4 survivors 5 totems.

Meta is Meta, its a reason why you should use those perks if you plan on getting consistent wins.
Just do bones
and eat the DS stuns early game so you dont have to worry about it later on. Once that survivor is rehooked his only tool to prevent you from rehooking him again is gone.

You're going to get negative feedback anytime you post something people don't like. Make a post about SWF then you'll get people that lean into the survivor side responding negatively and often you'll get killers who share the same sentiments as them. This post isn't attacking both sides, it's attacking killers. And no...it implies anytime you say something people don't like, they'll respond. The OP in this instance is acting in bad faith, I expect people to respond in the same fashion even if they're addressing survivors. Were you hoping for an echo chamber? I don't understand this post.

Don't care if it's about killers or survivors, shaming players for using stuff in the game you don't like is just straight up not constructive at best afterall.
People will use strong stuff. If you someone feels something is too strong or otherwise undesirable it's perfectly possible to discuss that without shaming players for daring to use stuff they dislike.

Umm each stun gives a good 20 seconds and 20x4=80. A gen is 80 seconds. So we should give them a whole gen? Even tho in a lot of cases after one down 2-3 get completed. Meaning after you take all the stuns the game is literally over.

Ah yes even more strawman, respecting your opponent has literally nothing to do with what you suggest, respecting your opponent is not to try to find another out of pity, that is actually the opposite as the thinking process is "oh you poor little baby, i am gonna go and find somebody else and you do gens". Where is the respect in that? Nah this just says you guys suck so bad I can afford to look for somebody else and still win this ez pz.
Please have at least a minimal understanding of what respect means, what tunneling means before you suggest silly ideas about it. There is literally no way in hell, that you beat me and my friends or other remotely good survivors by going from survivor to always another survivor and try to juggle all health states equally. Of course having a basic understanding of the game is a foreign concept to somebody completely filled up with survivor bias.

If it is in the game and it is not bannable offense, don't give me that crap about "it's frown upon or scammy". It is not the players to blame for the existence of build/perks, yeah?

I am so tired of special snowflakes who claim, mimimi x didn't get a chance to play the game, reality is the person sucked at playing the game against that opponent.
Fyi i do not need to respect ,smol pp, since I do main nurse. Survivors who do use it, get tunneled afterwards same as with OoO. When I play other killers I have to respect that and that is why I always go back to nurse, no f's given.

Ruin/Undying has many, many counters. The reason the small pp build is called that is BECAUSE it has no counters.

If a killer made a similar post about survivors then naturally they will get responses from survivors or killers that aren't fans of said behavior that will be negative as they should as it do not foster healthy discussion, you're just looking for an online brawl at this point. I have my own opinions about killers, survivors, and shaming but it's irrelevant here.
