Derelict space station
I think it would be interesting to have a map that is an abandoned derelict spacestation or ship, ala something like the ghost ship from Event Horizon. It could also be an opportunity to experiment with unusual map geometry, such as making it a toroidal spinning satellite which you can run all along the “floor” but the direction of down is always pointing to the outside of the ring. This could allow for a “wrap around” portions of the map or being able to drop in from windows at unusual angles onto terrain below. And there’s no shortage of monsters and killers that could fit this theme as well.

I love this idea. It could be an alien one (although I doubt they'd give the rights since there's already alien horror games)

Sounds like something I would instant DC on as Nurse.

I guess it would be similar to Nurse of Midwich, if you know the map well you could probably have some decent short cuts by Blinking. If you don’t know it well then Plaid Flannel might be a saving grace.
I hate playing Nurse though, I just did a mission for her last night and every time I play her I just keep thinking how much I dislike how her stun works and how I should just leave her missions on my log so I never get a new one. Man, could she use a revamp!

The wrap around idea sounds terrible. It would be similar to how on midwich you really just need to hold w through the hallways.

Yep, this kind of map and an alien may be long overdue. However, the Entity and its Lore seems more Supernatural leaning than Science Fiction. Perhaps that is why they haven't done it yet.

It's an interesting idea, but not sure how well it would really fit into DbD

Well on the flip side there’s plenty of examples of supernatural science fiction horror ranging from the great movie Event Horizon to the not so great Jason X. As long as the aesthetic is more like the thriller Alien than the action-oriented Aliens I think it could fit. You just have to lean into the theme of the Entity being a being that transcends dimensions and time.

I actually like playing Midwich as a killer, I don’t find survivors who hold W more difficult on that map than any other map to be honest. (Holding W is just generally a decent stalling strategy overall, I don’t find it any better on Midwich than other maps though.)

I guess im just thinking of the worst possibility. Kinda like a halo ring w/ 4 LT walls that can be combined in the wrap around

Yeah, I think there should be enough obstacle and such that you wouldn’t literally have a simple circle. But honestly the devil is always in the details in map design, right?
