yes they did promise it. i have learned to never trust what the devs say cause anything can change in the blink of an eye

I vaguely remember something along the lines of "don't quote us on that" from McLean. So I guess the mid-chapter is what they were aiming for but didn't want to confirm, just in case.

They did say freddy would be in midchapter patch and that he would require more work then wraith otherwise he would've came at the same time

How is a giant team of developers not able to buff freddy within 2 weeks of work?
I'll tell you, they didn't even begin working on it, because they have 90% of the devs working on dlcs.

“That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.” – Christopher Hitchens.

Ah yes yet another keyboard programmer with no idea how hard it is to actually write the code and make sure it works properly. They already had a rework going on which was Wraith and they don't have a huge workforce and if you think that go check their job listings.

Also you do realize that dlcs are part of the process with making sure they actually work and different teams work on different things. But then if you knew how actual game companies work you'd not have posted this in the 1st place.

...What the hell makes you think DBD is comprised of a "giant team of developers"???
This isn't Riot Games we're talking about here. This isn't Epic Games. Or EA or Activision or Ubisoft. If I had to guess, BHVR is much closer in size to (what was) Telltale Games, who just went under.

They are not a "giant" team, but they are pretty big.
I think the real reason of freddy buff daley is similar to the DS nerf delay.
They can't ######### it up or they risk an uproar from the community.
The difference is, DS is only one perk and they can revert it back if they screw it up.
If the freddy buff is not good or even if it make freddy worst than now, coming back from that will be really hard to do. They need to REWORK him completely (or at least is what they said) and they have only one chance to do that.
Not counting the fact that he is a licensed killer, so maibe they also have to talk with the rights owner.
I really hoped for him to came out in the mid patch... but IF and i say IF they are going to make him worth his price, i'm ok waiting.

They have to put some love in the game.
If they really had a vision for this game, freddy would be a viable killer already.
    But they ain't having #########.

They set up a forum to ignore every balancing related thread, lol.
They have enough developers to fix all game bugs within weeks, they have enough to finish the freddy buff within weeks, decisive strike is a joke, adjusting a perk doesn't need more than 2 days.

I know game developers programming in the unreal engine, the time the DEVS need for updates with the most basic changes are absurd. They are just working with 90% of their team on DLCs obv.
The game could be so more polished, if people actually cared.
    The community does atleast.

Nah I estimate that roughly half of them work on the DLCs.
But the real problem is their spaghetti code.

unfortunately they keep adding to the spaghetti code which will make things even worse and I doubt they will ever fix that. Thats the reason why we dont have dedicated servers btw, they would have to redo all the netcode stuff in their mess

So what does the othe half of the game?
    Sitting around?

I mean, yeah it's obvious their code is #########, because of the giant amount of bugs.
But still, they could do more with their time.
