Teachable perks - no tiers?

The descriptions for the teachable perks seem to indicate that teachable perks, once learned by other survivors one have one value and that increasing their rank has no effect. If this is the case, why have tiers on other characters? If this isn't the case, why is it worded this way?

If you mean 'Teachable Perks' as unlockables at Level 30, 35, 40 then yes, it has only one tier.

You're unlocking the perk for other characters. You get it on other characters' blood webs the same way you get every other perk. Tier 1, 2, then 3.

the teachable that you unlock is the base perk . once it appears on the bloodweb for another killer/survivor it will be tier 1 and then you can get tier 2 and 3 in the bloodweb after that just like any other perk . Keep in mind though it can take some time on perks to find them in the bloodweb . I have one killer who is p3 50 and been through 12 other level 50 bloowebs and has bbq tier 1 and it was the first time he has seen it the whole time . yet I have a 40 spirit with bbq3 ...

So how come taught survivors can get I, II, then III? Are they all the same?

My question is why the description in-game and on the wiki specifically says that the perk is one level for other survivors, but yet they can level them up in the bloodweb.

The in game description matches the wiki:

I know this.. but in game and on the wiki it just says the teachable version is 52 meters (which is the Tier I value)

So, if non-leatherface users can get all three tiers, why make this distinction at all?

It just unlocks that perk in other bloodwebs. They will appear in tier 1 before tier 2/3.

It could maybe be a little more clear and show the different tiers, but the perk will be exactly the same on other characters.

That's why I've asked. I can't come up with a valid reason that it'd be worded like that if all three tiers were available for the teachable versions, but yet they are. lol I mean, why even call them "teachable versions" if they're exactly the same and behave the same way. Seems like a bug in the documentation.

The survivor or killer is teaching the other survivors and killers a new skill. They can only teach the basic skill (tier 1). That basic skill can then be improved (tiers 2 and 3).

I have no idea why the wiki makes a distinction, but at the end of the day it doesn't really matter.
