5th perk slot good or bad?
Would an extra slot on both killer and survivor be good or bad? I'm kinda in the middle about this since it would give killers another perk to control pressure but I'm mostly worried about SWF Survivors.
What do you think? Would this be a good addition or not?

bad, this game was balanced for 4 perks, and adding a 5th to most builds just lets survivors use ds, unbreakable, bt, iron will, deadhard or any other combination of meta perks but with even more meta perks

There should be a perk that gives you another perk slot

That's what I was afraid of. I should've saw this coming

Definitely!!

But then you don't really have another slot since one slot is being used to give you another slot. Makes no sense lol

This game was absolutely not balanced around 4 perk slots. Or rather, it may have been at the beginning, but the game is not actively being balanced around 4 perk slots, because perk synergy is consistently absurd.

They was being sarcastic. That's why I agreed with them rather then trying to explain how that wouldn't work
3 -
That's how I was thinking when I made this post I just wanted to see how other people think
1 -
That is because the devs are trying to make new perks that create new synergies.

Kinda like how spine chill with resilience to make a vault build?

It wouldn't work without changing most speed up, second chance, aura, notification or slowdown perks.
Then we would essentially just be in the same situation as it is now as the 5th perk would be one which gives a similar result to what was taken away.

I had the same thought. Seems like most people agree that it wouldn't make this game any better and tbh I agree with them

For killers, maybe. Not for survivors.

I think it would simply make the game more fun. It would allow for more diverse builds, and while I'm positive that some players will simply slap on a 5th meta perk, I think that both sides getting the extra slot would balance itself out for the most part.
1 -
yea but how absurd can it get, 4 perks of absurd, not 5
1 -
Maybe for killer. Definitely not for survivors. There needs to be a fat prerequisite/cost in the form of bloodpoints or something to unlock it.
2 -
Yeah but what if the perks were actually "perks" (i.e. fun/helpful little bonuses) instead of game-defining nonsense that can radically alter the outcome of a match?
1 -
That game was made to not be able to communicate with survivors other than perks, but people just use discord. So, i don't think it is such a bad idea.

Exactly. Undying is the most recent example, also.

thats their design space not mine

what

Then you'd still have 4 perks basically unless it gave you 2.

DS + Unbreakable + Soul Guard + BT + Adrenaline
The horror. . . .
