Trapper should get his traps out of lockers, just like Huntress.
The biggest detriment to Trapper's gameplay is that he has to go on a scavenger hunt for his own killer-power. This means that it's not uncommon for some traps to never even get picked up, in some matches.
He would only be able to get one out of a locker at a time, and no more than one from any individual locker. Once his maximum capacity are put into play on the map, then he no longer gets them from lockers - he just picks up and uses the traps that have already been placed.
This would also prevent survivors from immediately knowing they are facing a Trapper, since they can't see his items on the ground when the match starts.
I remember when Huntress was released, and I thought it was cool how she interacted with lockers. I think it would make sense for Trapper to get his tools in the same way. Huntress and Trapper are the only ones who utilize inventory in this way, except maybe Pig as well with her helmets.
What do you think?

As someone who plays Trapper, I say no.
Trapper's issue isn't the collection of the traps, it's the lack of carrying capacity and set time. If Trapper could carry 2, start with 1 and the setting time was reduced, he'd be where he needs to be. It's the inability to collect as he goes and the time wasted from setting/resetting traps that makes him so difficult to use.

i think he should just start with all his traps in his hands, the traps already have limitations on how close they can be together

As a fellow Trapper player, I’ll disagree with you here. Having to go around and pick up your power is absolutely the biggest issue with Trapper, as it’s the one that uses the most amount of time. Traps are spread out across the entire map. On maps like Ormond, it’s basically GG if you want to use more than 3 traps, and even on smaller maps like The Game, it’s still a painful usage of time to walk around and pick your power up off the ground and walk to put it somewhere else. This problem is only intensified by what you mentioned though, the small carrying/starting cap at base. If Trapper was able to grab his carrying cap out of lockers as well as start with 2 and carry 2 at base, he’d be excellent.

If you're chasing and patrolling, you pick them up as you go no issue. If your whole thing is beginning of the game getting as many traps down as possible, then yes, you're going to have a bad time. Tying them to lockers means you're going to be spending that time you'd otherwise spend grabbing them around the map (during patrols and chases) and wasting just as much time.

I don't think that would be very fun to do, honestly they should just give him all of the traps right off the bat, I don't see any problem with that.

I disagree. Traps for often will spawn out of the way of where you’d be chasing and patrolling, so you will either have to abandon the chase for a trap or ignore the trap. Lockers, however, are located in enougj different places for this to be a complete non-issue, as they are pretty much everywhere, with many being in tiles you would chase in.
