No one wants to hit Space Bar 50 million times
Change this mechanic already. We arent "fighting back the entity" it's just annoying. Skill checks would be a thousand times better like Pyramid head and the cages. Why wasnt this made universal? Take button mashing out.

Change it to mouse wheel down, it makes your life easier.
But they mentioned something like adding skillchecks or something like that, I can't really remember.

I havent been able to find anything about them adding it only that people would like it to he added. Also I'm on PS4 so I have no mouse wheel v_v

I’d rather they just remove it entirely rather than replacing it with skill checks. Skill checks aren’t engaging and they don’t demonstrate any actual skill, they’re just an annoying way to force you to pay attention to a naturally uninteresting part of the game. If I’m on the hook, let me sip my coffee in peace.

I think adding a mechanic "hold <<button>> to give up" like in Borderlands would be much more preferable to veteran players of dbd. Not only mashing button isn't very healthy for your keyboard but it also gets a little annoying.

I'd kill to see it removed in favor of Pyramid's cage skill checks. Not only does the mash cause needless wear and tear on your equipment, it's also not good for your wrists.
I get that Behaviour doesn't want the player to just afk or tab out but mashing is not the right solution imo.

Which is precisely why I use a macro. The last thing I need is to both replace my keyboard and damage my hands and forearms worse than I already have.

I've rebinded struggle to the right CTRL button on my keyboard, its big ,easy to find without looking and never really used for anything else

Oh, since I read space bar I was like then it's on pc, yeah I remember how annoying it was to spam X to struggle, I really have no idea what else could be a button to not have to spam, but just like someone above said, it would be better if it was something like "hold button to give up" and that way you really don't have to do anything.
