Has billy's movement also been changed?
I decided to play Billy the other day and noticed it was harder to get chainsaws. I could just assume I am just out of practice, but it felt slightly different. Has it changed or am I just boosted? lol

For some reason the devs messed with billy's movement since the start of the year. Over his rework he got several base power changes including a movement speed nerf.
He only needed an addon rework. Devs. STOP.

Are you talking his normal movement? Because I hadn't played him in a long ass time and now he just feels... off. I dunno. Weird and janky chainsaw sprint or no.

Ugh. I'll never get it. Billy was fine. Honestly, most of his new add ons are way worse. What the hell is that Flashlight blind add on even supposed to be used for.

Pretty sure they changed it to where it takes affect when you are stunned by a pallet... for 30 seconds.

Crack Billy was fine? Instasaw? He was broken.
With all the crying over overheat, that barely registers as a mechanic.
He feels more balanced now despite the gimmick add-ons.

I never really count add ons when considering a killer good or bad. Huntress is mostly fine but Iridiscent head? Same with Tombstone Piece. Hell naw.
The overheat is just weird. At this point everyone knows that mobility is what makes a killer viable. Not One shots downs or Slowdown. This and the Nurse change are just bizarre. Especially the Nurse change because it just kneecapped beginner Nurses. Pro nurses will still end chases in 12 seconds as opposed to 10.

I didn't play Billy before add-ons and power rework so I can't compare.
But I've been getting my 4K consistently so it's a matter of getting used to it I guess.

But, his movement speed didn't change, he's still 115% and 230% with his chainsaw, they gave him the overheat mechanic, some very ugly and unnecessary animation "improvements", and the roar at the start of the chainsaw sprint. (His addons got changed also, but that's obvious I would say)

I'm pretty sure they also messed around with his base speed while they freaked up his engravings like toddlers.

They didn't, the movement speed addons got nerfed, but then in the patch 4.1.1 I think they got changed back to their og values.

I dont know about his movement speed, but I noticed they made his animations so much worse with the rework. I am constantly bumping into objects, because of the headbobbing, camera shaking and tilting. Its extremely disorienting and frustrating.

If he seems slower, it's a bug or just how it feels, because the only change they made to his base kit was adding the overheat mechanic...

Its pretty hard to get used to it to be honest. I played a lot of Billy before they changed his animations, like really, a lot. And once he was bugged, it was really disgusting to play him. I got a little bit used to it when MMR was active, since I only got Rank 20s in their first game with Billy (and only with Billy, not even with Nurse, where I am far worse), so I played Billy a lot to see if I can get my MMR up (Despite 4King every game with 12 Hooks if nobody killed himself on hook, nothing changed), but it does not feel like before.
I cannot even tell what is wrong, it just does not feel right. I played Billy for a Daily yesterday and got an easy 4K, but still, he feels just strange. Its not that he is weak by any means or that I am bothered by Add Ons or the Overheat (I almost never overheat and I never used Add Ons), but he does not feel right.
OhTofu, someone who played tons of Billy-games and is a godlike Hillbilly-player also got fed up in a recent Livestream because of the weird feeling when playing Billy.
Honestly, I can understand the Devs why they went for the animation changes, since the animations now line up with the general movement of him, but they messed something up.

I have, and have seen it. It means swf is op and the game's base mechanics are too simple. Swf should fundamentally be treated differently than pugs.
The game thrives on chaos and swf spits in the face of it.

I like how you talk about his addons when it is about his base power.
I had the same experience when I first used him after the rework. His saw feels clunky? It is hard to describe but is not the same as before even when you run him without addons, flicks feel completely diffrent but I have seen one billy main who kept playin him and does just fine, despite the roar, overheat and the other changes, pls dont get mad but i think maveros or something? He is competitive survivor but when he plays killer he is a billy main, check him out on twitch maybe he can help you to adjust properly, he is kinda inspiring to learn/play billy again.

Thanks for the suggestion, I might check it out. I will probably adjust to playing Billy again I just wanted to make sure I wasn't suddenly bad at the game because of how he suddenly moved differently.

To be honest it feels like his pill collision randomly catches on stuff. When he jumps off a hill or when he runs around obstacles he just randomly gets stuck on the ground. Even when he's strafing if feels like he gets stuck on stuff. Been an issue since he originally got new animations and still isn't fixed. It's not just a hunch either it's very noticeable and I'm surprised it wasn't fixed during that mid chapter.

Yeah thats what I meant. His speed is fine but he feels wonky almost. Getting caught on nothing during lunges and such.

It's more than one thing though, and it isn't recent either. They messed with stuff a while back for sure.
They can keep quiet or deny it for all I care, but it's pretty obvious.

Add-ons should be taken into account when talking about the whole. No one is going to play add-on less all the time. No one was playing add-on less Billy when they were instasawing.
And I said they were gimmicky, so really it effects nothing about what I said since it barely effects his power. He feels more balanced overall now.
Getting chainsawed at the beginning of a match isn't a death knell anymore.

No add-ons are add-ons they alter the power of a killer, when you talk about his power you do just that and not some altered version of it.
Do you think spirit power is same without add-ons or with mother-daughter ring? No it isn't even close to the same thing. Also many people said billy needs an addon rework, which would take care of the all problems we were all aware off. Instead of to fix what did cause problems they again tempered with something that didn't need any changes to begin with.
Please do not make assumptions about the usage of addons, i barely play anything above yellow at all and I am constantly r1 and I know I am not the only one.

It started when they added some of the new animations for Hillbilly when he picks a survivor up and carries them. That's when most of the issues started. They did this long before the PTB that changed Hillbilly.
