Rate My Survivor Build

So I’ve been playing survivor a lot recently rather then playing killer like I usually do. I was coming up with some ideas for new builds and was wondering if this was a good one to try out.

Windows of opportunity - For pallets and windows

Bond - For survivors

Visionary - For gens

Open Handed - To increase aura reading range

I wanted an aura specific build that gave me a little bit of everything. If you guys have any better ideas or perks to exchange then let me know. Or just let me know if this build is complete crap.

The only change I would do is instead of using Visionary use Deja Vu. This will at least prevent your team from giving the killer a close 3-gen near the end of the game.

Also just my personal opinion but if you're gonna use Open Handed I would strongly recommend Kindred. With the 8 meters added from Open Handed, Kindred will allow you to see the aura of the killer 24 meters away from the survivor on the hook. It will also help give your team a lot of information if you play on solo queue. Hope this helps.

Actually this helps a lot, I am mostly solo queuing and I didn’t even think about kindred. I will definitely use that in my build, saves me some time in leveling up some other survivors also.

And yeah I was kinda debating to use visionary in the first place, and if I wanted a gen reading perk then daja vu is the much better perk now that I think about it. Thank you!

Agreed on Kindred. Campers have learned the range of Kindred, so adding those extra couple of meters will throw them off.

It's fine. You can make any perk in this game work (or run perkless) and be a success. I'm personally fond of Visionary because when it's late game you can fish out generators that the killer isn't guarding that you'd miss otherwise, especially on an indoor map.

To me if I was in a game with you I would assume you'd be running perkless because from the outside looking in, you have no perks that can alter the game (borrowed time, dead hard, even self care etc) and with experience you'll kind of have an idea on where the vaults/your team currently are. By no stretch of the imagination does it mean that build is bad, I'm just putting my two cents in.

    My fav aura build is;

Dark sense - Up to 4 auras after gen completion and a longer one when exits are powered which give you clear directions the killer is moving in

Alert - Aura for every killer gen kick / pallet break. About 10 per game, handy if you wanna heal or repair gen safely

Breakdown - 4 second aura after being saved so that you can utilise your escape. Hook breaks for 3 mins which helps combat tunneling also

4th slot I use iron will or no-one left behind for survivor auras during EGC

Thats true, that’s why I was asking about this build in the first place, because I usually run second chance perks or perks that (like you said) alter the actual gameplay, like in chases. So a build like this is pretty new to me or at least different to me. But maybe I’ll do more experimenting with this build and see what I come up with. Thanks for the feedback!

This is great actually, I definitely will consider Dark Sense since I don’t have a park that allows me to see the killer. This perk is also good in the early game too so you can identify the killer. I love using Alert in my builds also, but breakdown I personally have never tried out but I had know idea that that was even an aura perk, I thought it just broke the hook and that was it’s only use, that could be great for countering tunneling possibly, if the original hook you were hooked on isn’t close to any other hooks. Thank you!

I'd take out open handed and visionary and replace them with Kindred and Detective's Hunch. Detective's Hunch gives you a bigger range for seeing gens with totems and chests added on top. Kindred is invaluable for making saves. It lets you know when you need to go for the save or stay on the gen.

You don't have Adrenaline, Unbreakable, Dead Hard and Decisive

In my experience there is a surge in the frequency of Stealth Killers. I wish you had Spine Chill in there somewhere, although what you drop for it I wouldn't dare to suggest.
