I'm new to the game

Hello everyone! I'm new to playing this game. I have always seen my boyfriend playing and I got interested in this game and now it has become my obsession! I wanted to ask if someone wants to add me! In addition, I wanted to ask something important, which is creating some complexes for me and above all it is making me pass the desire to play the killer (even if I really like it) I do " the spirit", and happen this:

People who don't even start the repair of generators and they are all the time attracting attention and being chased... that killer Unfortunately is a little slow and especially when She stab have to be really close to the victim for hurting. Unfortunately I have been very heavily accused With personal insults for "Camping". I'm new to the game and would like to know if is wrong how I act, or if they maybe are a bit over the top. I do "camping" when the game is almost over and I want at least to kill someone! they are always close and as soon as you catch them, they blind you with the light and sometimes they stand in front of you so as not to let you reach the hook. (it's a bit frustrating for me, but I don't Say anything.. in fact it makes me a bit laugh, especially when they make the character lower and raise quickly for provocation.)

But me anyway It's not like I stay there all the time, I do the rin's skill and obviously She looks like stay fort there, I move around patrolling the generators, but if I don't find nobody I go back to the victim otherwise they free the victim...(sometimes by doing this they manage to free anyway) sorry for the little personal outburst! but I would like to know if I should ignore the insults or if it's actually wrong.. I don't like making people stress out in a game, we should have fun.

If I play the wrong way, can give me some advice for play better please? And I apologize if I play wrong! Thanks very much!

Most people who tell you how to play the game are usually not that good at the game. Don't listen to them.

In general, I would say that patrolling and even sometimes face camping (even though I don't facecamp) is fine. As long as you are making the logical play in the situation it's fine. Which a lot of the times during end game means you should be patrolling a hook instead of running to a gate and letting everyone off.

Where camping is an issue is when people do it in situations that don't make sense to ruin the game for the other side (e.g., if you're face camping someone at 5 gens).

If you want to find people in the community to play with, I would recommend the DBD discord. Can also add me if you want to play a few games on surv.

Honestly, play the way you want to play. Let no one tell you how you should be getting enjoyment out of your game.

That said, face camping is going to do far more harm than good the higher the ranks get. Not only does it give other survivors ample time to finish generators, but you'll walk away with a pitiful amount of bloodpoints for essentially doing nothing.

It's very easy to acquire bloodpoints as the killer, and if you're really new to the game, you're going to want as many bloodpoints as possible. So I would recommend play the game normally, which in turn will improve your skill and net you more bloodpoints.

You'll get better at the game faster if you just pretend the hooked person doesn't exist and focus on other objectives and start another chase. If survivors see you hovering around a hook they'll finish their gen before coming to help the hooked survivor. If they know you'll leave they'll abandon their generator and rush in for a save...and they don't always go back to the generator they abandoned.

It also takes a little bit of time for the hooked survivor to get healed. Once you know the amount of time it takes for a survivor to be healed by one person vs. two, you can figure out how many people went for the save. If three are in the same spot, they'll go to nearby generators.

The hook when it comes down to it is all about information. Either the survivors will get information on your location if you stay there, or you'll get information by watching and seeing how long it takes them to heal. You can really get a good game sense of what's going on that way.

You'll get a lot of salt no matter what you do. Spirit, Deathslinger, and Myers seem to be the killers that I get the most after game complaints about, whether trying to play by the survivors handbook or not.

As stated above, you'll have to use your own judgement for this, especially when you're just starting out, and playing against folk that make silly mistakes and expect you not to "punish" (capitalize on) them. I can't begin to count the number of times someone's accused me of camping or tunneling because they unhooked a poor soul right in front of or behind me, or fallen for an obvious trap.

Try not to let them bother you too much, the name of the game is for them to survive and you to stop them. So long as you aren't cheating or being a knob and holding the game hostage you're playing fine.

Welcome to the game and community Majin, good luck and happy hunting. :)

First off, if you're going to invest in Killer, welcome to Hell.

All jokes aside, Killer is inherently more stressful than Survivor, primarily because you are not the power role you would expect to be. You kind of just capitalize on the Survivors' mistakes most of the time. Set them up like dominos and wait for them to tip themselves over type of deal.

That being said, playing Spirit will get you salt and toxicity no matter what you do, so just be aware of that. Using her power to move fast and catch up to people or snipe them on generators is the primary play most Spirits go for, but you'll probably learn your own strategy as time goes on.

First off, welcome! My first killer game was pretty bad. It takes time to grow as a killer. I started out a survivor, which helped me learn killer. Watch videos, watch how the killer you're playing against plays. Experience is the best teacher here. I hope you have fun. Don't let anyone bring you down.
