Friends list lost after linking BHVR account for cross progression

I used to have about 8 friends on this list, but after linking my Steam to BHVR account, my Steam friends won't show up and I also have a new player tag.
Platform: Steam
How to reproduce:
Have a friend on Steam
Link Steam account to BHVR account
Open up the game

I am having exactly the same problem. What can we do now?

We just have to wait for them to fix it. For now, I just play with people through Steam invites.
