Hooked survivor code

Is there an "official" hooked survivor code? If I do short little frantic movements I'm trying to tell players stay away the killer is close or camping. If I just hang there it means "I'm chilling finish the gen you are on." If I reach up and over and over again grab the hook in my back I'm saying, "window of opportunity, save me now!" Does anyone else do this?

The problem with the hook code is that it's not reliable. A guy swinging on hook can be just impatience and wants out of the hook no matter the situation. A chilling hook survivor can just be afk or does not care and is alt tabbing, etc. I wish there was communication between survivors on these kind of things.

I do exactly the same. 95% self unhook attempt repeatedly means, noone is coming, Im dying, pls help. Short flaps: killer is too close. Also when someone approaches and is some seconds about stepping into a hag or trapper trap, start flapping.

I would just suggest, keep doing it. If people can't read it, bad luck. If people do it cuz of being bored, bad luck. The more people try to do this correctly, the better to close the gap a bit to SWF. Easy communication. The more regularly it happens, the more will recognize it

Full swing of arms to touch the hook but not actually attempt unhook: Killer is here! / Killer is camping. Go away! Don't come close!

Little swingy arms, or flappy hands: Killer is close / I hear heart beat / I can still see but killers not right on top. Risky but possible.

Dead still hang: Come get me coast is clear!

This is how I've seen it for years now and was explained when I first joined the game. However 'newer' players and with the addition of console players I've been seeing less social norm as it were with these motions/signals.

Also, some players might just be frustrated, or bored, or think they are trying to signal. Much like newbies not knowing that a killer nodding furiously and not hitting them an entire match is friendly not GGEZ GIT GUD BB KIILLER

So really take it for what it is and good luck making an educated guess when going to unhook if not on a team.

Any movements on the hook at all = Camping

Frantic and short movements on hook = Hard camping/Facecamping

No movement on hook = Not camping

This thread is legit fascinating - I had no idea that Survivors were sometimes (maybe not all the times) communicating via this method. I don't camp, but I would on occasionally see this movement start up if I was patrolling close to one of my hooked survivors.
