We really need endgame chat across all plattforms
For real.
I'm so sad that you just can't interact with people anymore since crossplay.
Especially since i love to compliment others if the made great plays or if they were really nice or funny.
Maybe we could finally add mouse and keybord support too.
Please devs,make it happen :(

No thanks. I get enough trash talk and insults from angry Survivors from the PC players, I don't need it from console players too.
Now go make me some macaroni.

I agree! There should be an option. And just like in each platform, you should be able to disable it if you don’t want to hear it from other people.

No we do not. There is so much trash thrown around the PC end game chat and that's bad enough. it usually consists of
- GGEZ
- Nice Tunneling
- Trash Killer
- You suck, and one that's happen to me personally
- Slit your own throat.
no we don't need this on all platforms.

I would argue that we don't even need an endgame chat seeing how toxic this community is. I've been playing since 2017 and only saw people using it for 2 things:
A) The ocassional "gg"
B) Insult the killer or fellow teammates
I think having a chat BEFORE the game for survivors is okay to allow the players some sort of comunication to organize the team but after the match is finished I would stick to "quick chat" options like "Good game" or "Want to make a group?"

If the endgame chat is bothersome to you, you can always just hit the continue button before it even pops up. Better yet, give an option for people to opt out.
And while they're at it, they can fix it so it syncs properly, right now you don't see any messages that happened before you yourself entered the chat server, so you often miss out on some entertaining conversations, and sometimes even whether someone said "gg" or not. I watched a VOD of one of my killer matches and even though I'm the killer so I'm last out, I apparently typed "gg" too fast and it never appeared in their chat.

Idk how it works on console with regard to people sending you messages after, but on PC it actually has a button right next to the text box that allows you to disable it, and I think it remains disabled across games, until you decide to press it.

Ah, nice. I wouldn't know since I tend to leave chat on as if it bothers me I can always just move on to the next match. It's not like anyone's forcing you to sit around reading anything, y'know? But the option to disable it is always good for those that just don't want to bother. For me it's half the fun assuming people are normal, functioning humans and not just bots spouting ez or whatever. And most of the time? They're just totally normal people.

I'm on PC and I can opt out, but I don't because I enjoy the rare occasions were we have a good conversation. I just don't want to see more trash talk than I already do. I have a feeling there are many, many more children playing this game on console than there are on PC.

I'm kinda in the same boat. A friend has the game for xbox and asked me to lvl up Nurse to 40 for him so he could get NC. I got more hate messages from that platform than I do on PC. At least on PC they can't send me messages without friending me. On Xbox you can send messages to anyone so long as you know their gamertag.
OP it would be nice to compliment people on other platforms but the amount of ######### on this game out number the good people. By a large margin.
4 -
Nah, i get enough ######### talked from people on my own platform. I dont need it from the others too

Just make the "thumbs up" option notify the player receiving it. Let's player know you had a good time and avoids the toxicity that chat can bring.

But you can easily skip the endgame chat if you want to

@Peanits Can this be a thing? As of now there is no way to communicate with other platforms

It's way too much of a pain to type on console. End-game chat would probably be PC players talking at console players more than anything; PC players would write a novel about how the match went while the console player is just trying to type "gg."
On a more personal note, I turned off messages on PS4 specifically because of DbD. End-game chat would just be another thing I'd have to disable.
2 -
We really don't. Heck, I'd want post-chat permanently removed. It only causes negativity.

Which is why it would be great if they could add mouse and keybord support as well

You can also just collapse the chat

You aren't missing out on much

Typing with controller. Two hours later, post.
-Chat is offline.

Who cares; you can read quickly. Before the match I want to be able to tell my teammates something like "Bringing styptic, wait under hook if the killer's coming back" or "Going for gate daily - pls let me finish it if we're both there!" If they're using controller and can't respond, oh well, message received. If they have a way of typing back quickly, all the better. After the match I like saying "gg" or "thanks for the save, Claude!" or "Dwight, my man, when one guy's dead, the obsession's in a chase, and the last guy's in phase 2, that's gotta be your save".
You can easily collapse the chat if you don't use it, don't want salt, etc., so there's absolutely no downside to including it.

"Maybe we could finally add mouse and keybord support too."
At least try to read the whole post :(
1 -
Bud, i play on console too. I don't need more salty comments. I already have my messages private and still getting friend requests with messages.

But in the case of endgame chat you could easily skip it with a press of a button if you don't want to
