Killers And Slugging Because They Sabotaged the Hook
Ok, I just go through a game where I sabotaged a hook before they could hook the other survivor. He immediately drops them and tries to come for me. I loop them for two fens and he lost me in the shack. He then proceeds to slugg EVERY survivor (except me) and tries to force me down as well as everyone else on the ground. Once he gets me in a pallet drop ( these hotboxes tho 🤣) he hooks me with everyone else of the ground for a 4k. This was a Freddy.
Why is everyone so angry with these sabotages? I'm generally concerned for the try hards because the sweat is so real I can't help but crack up everytime. I'm not throwing dirt on anyone, except this Freddy, but holy crap he was sooo mad 🤣

Some people are pretty sensitive. Dont think too much about it, the majority of Killers is not like that. But apparently he does not like Sabotage, so he decided to "punish" your team for it.

Yeah, that game was incredibly sad. But I understand not all killers are this way. I'm just concerned bout this guy's health, because I demolished this guy and he was very precise on " punishment" I wish I had the video

it seems like he wasn’t mad but realized what your plan was and adjusted accordingly. I’m guessing here I wasn’t there and this is from your perspective.

Dropping a Survivor because of a Sabo is a smart move. Slugging EVERYONE because of one sabo?
Yikes.
24 -
To a degree, yes, but unless the entire team was doing it, that's a total overreaction. I've had people sabo in front of me, and tbh I just went for them for the next hook. They're right in front of me and taking away hook states is more likely to get them to stop as they now have less chance of recovery.
2 -
No, he was really mad because of one sabo. Like it was a brown tool box, I can only sabo twice. Like, he overreacted immensely, IMO
1 -
Exactly. Ok cool you dropped them to get me, I have no problem with that. But slugging everyone to get me? That's sad.
1 -
Don't see anything wrong here honestly. You clearly showed him that no hooks are allowed so he just followed the rules and now you act like that's is his fault. The whole operation was your idea XD

I see nothing wrong in playing how you feel like it, instead of following some twisted morals that benefit your opponents. He wanted to play slugfest, I'm pretty sure he knew the risks of it, so I'm not here to judge him, since he isn't the one making whining posts trying to put himself in a good light. Instead I see a petty survivor crying about a pretty predictable reaction on a sabotage - slugging. According to your words and the way YOU described the situation - freddy overreacted, but I can totally see how he just got a good opportunity for 4 slug to win and you made a drama out of it.
Also, it's funny how you act so arrogant, even though there is no truth on your side. You are just a crybaby who can't move on to the next match because you got outplayed. Moreover, you and your team got 4 slugged by a Freddy - killer with one of the worst snowball potential in the game. Considering how easy it is to counter slugging even from best snowballing killers like Oni, I wouldn't be making posts about that game, because that would be equal to telling everyone how much I suck at the game to lose like that.
Yikes.

I mean what he did originally was smart, chasing that long was dumb. Losing points to spite you is also dumb. If he was good enough to slug your team he was good enough to win probably or at least got more points

The killer was probably adjusting his tactics, but also showed ... I wouldn't say anger necessarily. More a paranoia.
Think of it from this perspective: the killer had (maybe) had recent experiences with sabo squads. Maybe they've decided that once one sabotages they no longer feel they can risk the fact that others may do the same.
It does feel excessive, but the killer also has a right, and their reasoning may well be based on more than anger.

You got so mad you broke forum rules and told him he was a baby and every thing. First he ran the guy for 2 gens against a team that was slugged. So this guy obviously was best out of his team and was better than the freddy. He got hit through a pallet which doesnt involve skill but bad wifi. And if this guy sucks at the game then the freddy and his team is even worse. By defending this killer you are insulting him. Either way if you get that mad and slug everyone because of ONE sabo it shows that you are petty or oversensitive and frankly that is detrimental to his points. Heck the OP said that he was worried for his health and regardless its annoying to be 4 man slugged I had a killer 4 man slug on a map with bad rng he only hooked for bbq so he can slug. Its a jerk move same as gen rushing. You have a point he shouldnt even complain because he did good regardless but dude just calm down before you get banned. I almost got banned for telling a dude to shut up after he personally attacked me. Just try and be calm please I dont want you to get in trouble on the forums, neither would I for anyone else.

use your unbreakable and it will be fiiiiiiiiiiiine

Good for you...?

My favourite 'tantrum' in the game is when I sabotage a hook the killer wants to use, and they throw the body to the ground "Im tired of this #########! You think thats funny? Get back here motherducker!'
I dont even care if I get caught and hook because of it. Its so hilarious to see them fling that body down. ❤️🤡

So. Let me guess this right. You sabo a hook. Then he chased you for 2 gens you lost him and he slugging the whole team and youre here posting about it? Personally... your team sucks. I mean 1 or 2 slugs sure...but 3 and a chase? On a non insta down killer?

they are "angry" because you stopped them from getting a hook probably. If someone sabo's a hook and i doubt i'll get to another i'm dropping the survivor that I have and going after you that will require one or both of the others to get off of their gens to come heal the other one and thus puts pressure on you, the survivors while i am hunting you down. why? because it's what I am supposed to do. I'm not going to let someone wiggle free and stun me and thus 4 survivors (or 3 or even 2) will be running around free to do what ever.
Get over the "survivor's rule book" that you believe says the killer must act in accordance with your wishes. I'm gonna give you a hell of a time if I possibly can! I am not giving you an easy match just because you sabo'd the hook, unless I WANT to. This is not your decision, it's mine. you sabo'd it! good for you! you realize it'll be back in 30 seconds and if I get you down, hook you, get back to the other survivor and then I pick them up and put them on that hook that's 2 hooks and lots of pressure or game over. depends on what's going on.

Sounds like they just countered your strategy to me.

That’s solo queue for ya. There’s only so much weight one survivor can carry.

Just from my own experience as Killer, Sabo's can be extremely annoying when combined with everything else. I've played matches where Im dealing with DS, body blocking, pallet saves, constant flashlight harassment and then after winning a chase, I finally get to a clean hook and it breaks 1 second before I get there, ngl I've started seeing red.
Most of that bothered me more when I was newer, but even still, if a team is throwing everything at you everytime you get a down, it can get pretty irritating at times.

If someone's sabo'ing hooks, there's a good chance I'll stop hooking and start slugging everyone from then on. I don't know what kind of toolbox the survivor has, I don't know if they're running the Sabo perk. I don't know how many survivors may be sabo'ing, if it's just one or multiple. And I don't feel like wasting my time carrying a survivor to a hook only to have it sabo'ed as I get there. I'd rather slug and move on to the next chase. I may not get the hook points, but I don't really care about that these days. Anyway, at some point I usually get bored with it and go afk so they can finish gens and leave.
A killer has to make decisions based on the info they have. You know you have a brown toolbox; the killer doesn't. If your sabo'ing denies the killer a couple hooks, that could cost them the game, especially if the survivor manages to get off their shoulder before the killer can drop them. A killer doesn't have to be angry to slug. They could've thought it was their best chance at winning. Or maybe they decided to play eye-for-an-eye: you cost them hook points, so they took away any chance at earning points for making hook saves. And you don't know how many sabo'ers they may have had in previous games; maybe they'd had a few and were just tired of it. In this game especially, if someone is playing in a less-than-fun manner, it's often not because of one particular player but because they've had multiple bad matches.

People crying about sabo when hooks respawn in like 30 seconds? Yikes
0 -
Yeah sabo is really scummy.
3 -
Sometimes it’s not necessarily “punishment”. Sometimes it’s just adapting to the match conditions.
This killer might’ve presumed after seeing one survivor do sabotage, that every survivor will attempt sabotage. So why pick up any downed survivors?
As a Clown main I simply have to regularly slug. If it results in all 4 being downed at the same time, so be it.

Yep 👍🏻

Someone broke a hook while my Nurse was carrying a meg to a hook today.
I dropped her (which might be mistaken for slugging) then downed the sabotour and hooked them both.
What's wrong with that?
2 -
Lets say im the killer and i see this i immediatly assume i am against a sabo squad so i stop trying to hook and i slug everyone that way i counter the survivor strat
2 -
I mean... If it worked, it worked. The killer was probably scared of a sabo squad, but reached a point where they just kept slugging and it just kept working. That, or they just got tunnel vision on you and your teammates threw themselves between you. It's a little hard to tell from that story, since running someone for 2 gens could be anywhere between 10 seconds to 10 minutes.
2 -
Nothing
2 -
So were you sabo'ing with the perk or a toolbox
On one hand it was excessive to slug everyone dur to ONE hook being sabo'd
On the other hand... was your intention to sabo every hook the killer wanted to use or was it a "I was in the area"
I've been on both sides of Sabo... either facing an individual Sabo'ing/ and whole teams would try to sabo every hook (Hook offering, toolboxes) and I myself Sabo'ing a hook or two
It's a solid strategy for survivors to use...

I don't like sabotage but the most I'll do is just sit there with the downed guy until the hook respawns.

I believe he wanted to slug the team, because he could take his time with the sabo survivor without the team . I would say this can create a convenient way to hunt the OP, without worrying about the team. Also, he may not be experienced against such sabo survivor, so he wanted to be safe. Overall, I say, the killer did a pretty good job.
of course this discussion is limited due to only the OP point of view.
1 -
Its not about anger. If you ran him for 2 gens he was behind and needed to snowball to catch back up. Why is every tactic people dont like immediately assumed to be either that the person is mad or toxic? You made a good play, he responded with a good play. Why cant it just be that?
2 -
How does the killer know that? How does the killer know he's not going up against a sabo squad?
Your view. Killer is mad you sabo'd a hook so he slugs everyone cause he's mad.
His view. Killer gets sabo'd. He doesn't know if he'll get sabo'd again and if he's against a sabo squad so he just slugs everyone.
3 -
Was it anger or just calculation tho?
I mean you saboed a hook in his face once, so until you're down/on a hook/dead he has no way to guarantee that won't happen again (he couldn't know that you only had a brown toolbox). That's why he tried to tunnel you. But after that failed he just chose to slug not to risk losing hooks due to sabo again.
Sounds reasonable to me.
3 -
I mean if he lost then no he wasn't better than the Freddy.
0 -
You know I ran a ghostface for 5 gens because i was playing with my gf who just started. I was obviously better but he got me with noed at end game and without my gf breaking noed and the random saving me I would have died. So no dying after you run a killer for 3 gens or 2 shows that you either are lucky or better. No good killer gets ran that long without being worse than the survivor
0 -
If you lost, they were better, no matter what they use.
That's how winning and losing works.
0 -
ummm thats convoluted as crap. Oh I got hit through a window after a lag spike after running the bubba for 5 gens but now he camps the basement which isn't skillful so he is better. Dang man you should rethink your reasoning. I have GIVEN bad killers free kills when I could escape and now im worse than them over that?
0 -
Glitches fall outside of the normal realm of gameplay, and you feeling sorry for someone also falls outside of the normal realm of gameplay.
In traditional terms of games themselves, the better player wins. It's really simple, not convoluted at all.
Also, as far as basement camping goes, assuming you didn't go down via a glitch or lagspike, you still wound up on a hook. He outplayed you. That simple.

Ok but you fail to realize if you run the killer for a 1 minute thats standard but if you run a killer for 2 minutes and up you are better. If you can loop and not get hit and not waste pallets you are better. If they have to tunnel ans blood lust you to win you are better and they are proving it by seeing you as a threat. You could have otzdarva go against the top 4 survivors in the world and if he lost ita not because he was worse it's because at the highest level of play this game is unfair. The only way to gauge who is better is by their interactions with the survivor or killer in a 1v1. If a killer ends chases really quick he is better if the survivor gets good chases and screws up the killer he is better. Its not about whose team does their objectives or who lives or dies its who does the best in the 1v1
