hows the new update for ps4?
played my first match on mothers dwelling and it was stuttering and freezing so much, legit my game crashed because of how bad it was running
edit: played my second match on groaning storehouse, played a lot better than mothers dwelling but was still stuttering here and there
how is it for everyone else? really not looking forward to the event tmrw if this is how the game is playing on ps4...

I always hear about people having bad framerate on console, but I never have much issue and maybe it's because I use a ps4 Pro.
However, My game was running like a switch as survivor on the new Suffocation pit. I'm gonna go test killer on the new maps now, I hope its not as unplayable.

yeah, i have the slim and its pretty bad. last update had really good frames though so i dont know how they made it this bad this patch

Yeah,using blighted skins on console is a big no no because it affects your perfomance quite a bit

Bad very, very bad. I'm used to bad framerates on this game (especially on maps like Ormond) but now, every map is a slideshow. I get drops during the panning sequence now. It's pretty much unplayable atm.

Every map is now choppy. It’s insane how bhvr screws the game up with every single thing they do.

Honestly, I'm just shocked how they managed to destroy every improvement they made in the last patch in a fraction of a second and it is now officially the worst iteration of the game that I ever played (framerate wise).

I use a pro I have not had a issue before compared to today after the update usually it’s jsut the normal frames drop but it’s ok, since I downloaded the update at 4pm just wow Ahah wow is literally the best word for it

The frame rate is the worst it has ever been. By a considerable margin. It's not even restricted to the new maps.

This cannot be Ignored and if it is it will cause ps4 players not to play as it’s unplayable, before the patch is was fine now it’s really bad, It’s not the usual complaints about FPS drops from sloppy or franckines, or from a wiff it’s just in general when your moving around the map, if you stand still it’s still noticeable but moving is when it is at the worst

I don’t have many problems now- the main advice i can give is to take the DC penalty if there’s the new Blight skin in the lobby and don’t use it as killer. However, my first game was incredibly choppy but it got much much better the more I played

If you don't get my reference, a few patches ago console FPS was completely broken. The devs ignored an EXTREMELY popular thread about it for weeks until they finally acknowledged console issues.

The game is unplayable atm.. tried ghostfaces blight outfit and it was like a slideshow, game runned fine before this patch. @Peanits

I'm on ps4 original, crossplay off. I just played 2 survivor matches, one against Freddy on Azarovs and the other against Deathslinger on Fractured Cowshed. Both loading in during the circling animation it was stuttering pretty bad, the stuttering didn't improve much during the matches either. Just trying to run felt wicked bad. Freddy match we all escaped but I think Freddy was having a rough time. Deathslinger match two teammates killed themselves on 2nd hook so he farmed with me and the remaining teammate. If it's crappy for survivors I can't imagine how bad it is for the killers. 😬

It's even worse on indoor maps.
I mean i already hated them but now they are even WORSE with these atrocious FPS.
Very unfortunate because i was excited for the event but with those FPS i would rather not play at all.

It's incredibly bad.
I can't tell the difference between 40 fps and 60 fps because I'm practically framerate blind. But even I can see how bad it is. Loaded into a game as survivor, and the match was just awful because the framerate was THAT bad.

Hey folks, if you're using a PS4, what you can do is decrease your resolution to 720p in the settings. Granted, your image quality will be worse but you will get more frames and less stuttering.

Hoooorible. The beginning of the match is unbearably laggy to the point I just have to sit there and wait. Sometimes, the lag stops, but then it comes back in waves. Please, devs, fix the game 'cause I can't play it as is.

Almost unplayable. I have never said this before but it is actually going to make me quit if they don't do something about it.

The notes say they fixed the hex totems appearing as dull totems but that's still broken. I finished 4 dull totems while ruin was active and came upon a 5th dull one just as the wraith was slugging everyone to capitalize on the lag. I can't say whether cleansing the last totem would've deactivated the hex or not. Definitely unplayable unless your goal is to lose pips.

Yeah, sure there ARE PS5 games I can’t wait to play, but the naive hope of DBD running better in PS5’s boost mode is my main motivation for getting one.

Honestly, I’m gonna love all the PS5 games I’ll play at launch, but if the first time I play DBD on PS5 there is no (or next to little) improvement in performance, I will just die inside.

I love how the first match ive had since my break from the general stress that this game gives me, due to how long it takes for balancing, toxicity, and console performance, is the literal worst state ive ever seen this game in for its framerate.
Im starting to have no confidence. It's literally unplayable for me, almost a month of not playing and I gotta deal with this? I'll just go play minecraft and divinity original sin 2.

Worst part is, this is most likely how we're gonna be for the whole Halloween event. I can't see an hot fix coming quicker than that.
It's moments like these that make me absolutely hate the answer they gave for a game health chapter. If the team can do both why is this such a frequent problem? What a damn shame.

[BAD WORD]ing hell this is awful. It stutters like crazy whether I play survivor or killer.
Who can play like this? If console players want to complete the Rift, they'll have to load into matches and just stand there to earn XP. Playing normally much less trying to complete Tome challenges isn't possible with the game in this state.
