Haven't Touched DBD Since March — Might Come Back!

Prologue

I haven't played DBD in a while since I needed a break from it and another game has gotten my interest! Ever since I stopped playing, I kept in touch with the game's development and seen how it progressed!

After seeing some interesting updates, such as the graphics update and perk changes, I think it might be worth while to give this game a try and see where it goes!

Is there anything you'd recommend me doing first? Such as: "Hey, I'd recommend you getting Undying first because it pairs great with Ruin!" 😅

Haven't played in two years and I just came back. Haven't been to the forums in a while either. Nice to see old faces.

BTW, haven't missed much gamewise trust me lol

still the same, no improvement, i wouldn't bother, but first thing you should do is play the same you did and change the perks, see what has been buff and nerfed for reference

Well if the lackluster event doesn't scare you off

Then indeed undying is pretty strong. Mindbreaker got a huge shadow buff that removed the less then 50% requirement that makes it probably the strongest anti exhaustion perk now

Survivor side hasn't changed much but the addons you get during this event can be used outside of the event so you might want to stock up

    Mindbreaker's pretty interesting now.

Don't do it, I thought the same and after seeing this clown fiesta they made of an event, it went inmediately back into the trash bin.

yea, look good on paper, but when you play it's just boring or bad, only the graphical update is worth something but not everyone like it

ON: I don't recommend coming back to this game, the graphic change is just like spraying poop with parfume, it doesn't really change the smell.

OFF: What game are you talking about? You made me curious. :)

As you can see, nothing has changed. All the people here are still crybabies.

Welcome back. Truth is, the last update has ######### up the game up massively, if you have a potato computer or play on console I would recommend waiting a few weeks before going back

You shouldn't come back, community is getting even more toxic.

I wouldn’t come back yet. The new event is a piece of crap that forces you to either grind your ass off or spend money. If you’re on console, the last update has killed the frames.

The event is pathetic, they nerfed discordance and pop goes the weasel, the pyramid head got a nerf but its bugged in such a way that its actually a buff if you use the bug, frame rate on console is dismal, and when characters are loading in (ya know, while the camera is spinning in the beginning) the character models are frozen, making most killers look stupid and silly at the start of the match, and hex:undying paired with ruin is the new meta for killers, making the game stale.

On the upside, trail of torment got a massive buff making it much more viable, and the blight is much more powerful than people gave him credit for.

I understand, but is that all? Like, it seems you're only telling me one side of the story or holding back the truth!

Are you really serious about what you're telling me? Is DBD really not worth the time? I'm saying this because I know the community can often exaggerate the decisions developers make and make them seem more worse than they actually are! 😅

If you havent played since March? I assume you were here for Deathslinger, Zarina and Dead Dog Saloon?

After that was Silent Hill and what is objectively one of the worst maps in the game for both sides.

Then The Blight which didnt even have its own map...

They've done a few graphical updates, made most older maps terrible with pointless breakable walls, adjusted a few minor numbers, but overall? It really isnt worth it. I'm not being overly critical or judgemental. I used ot be a huge fan of this game. Loved playing on new maps/loops and having fun with new killers. But theyre not even adding new maps really anymore. They slap fresh paint on old ones and give "new killers" which are just older killers with a modified playstyle. The originality seems to have drained from the game... If you are looking for something fun may I suggest Civ 5? Or phasmophobia...

You convinced me, I'll just stick to playing something else!

Might check back here in a few months, but I do appreciate you taking the time and telling me what's up! 😊
