Who is looking forward to the Halloween event and why?
I am as I hope there is new skins besides the ones in the shop & the new rift comes so it’s new challenges and things to do in game :) oh and of corse I get to stock up on Halloween items :)

I'm pretty excited for it. Even though I was present for Chinese New year event and so on, this will be the first Halloween Dbd event that I'll be playing, spot feels nice to be a part of this one while I heard the rift and event cosmetics are behind a paywall which sorta dampens the mood for me. I'm still excited for participating in this event

I’m looking forward to the event and add ons. Not happy if the cosmetics are all paid only, but I’m sure enough people will buy them to encourage Behaviour to keep making more and more stuff require cash to unlock.

If the rumours are false and we can get two free halloween sets like last year then I’m super excited. If they aren’t giving free skins this year then there’s no reason to play the event for me so I’ll probably play other games until more new stuff comes. The killer add on seems cool but it’s only usable during the event and I mainly play killer so there’s literally no reason to grind the event for me if there’s no free skins unfortunately.

Fingers crossed we can get something via the event itself with no paywall gives everyone something to play for aswell then the normal gen grind

This will actually be my first DBD event so I'm quite excited! Hopefully those who do not want to spend money get a chance to get cool unlockables for their characters, or at least they were recipients of the auric cells bug so they can purchase the rift for free. I really look forward to new challenges and limited edition items in matches, maybe even some attainable items while playing? All the specifics we'll have to wait and see but should only be a few hours now.

Yeah, it’d be foolish of behaviour to lock them behind a paywall. A lot of people would be very upset which won’t bode well for cosmetic sales I’d imagine. Content creators will still buy them probably but the average player probably wouldn’t.

Eh not really tbh. Here's my reasons why:
- Can't earn the skins
- No real reason to grind the rift. Just another set of pointless charms (remember that rift survey 6 months ago).
- Event is just 'do gens/get hooks' like most other events.
- Bugs
Here's what I am excited about:
- New challenges. Creating archive guides is a good reason to log onto the game.
- New skins. Love the Feng, Legion and Ghostface skins.
- New challenge variations
Just feels like another beginning of Tome day tbh.

Depends. IF there is no Event Currency, it is not really an Event. Also, if the Offerings are only for Bonus-BPs and are not involved in earning Event Currency, I dont care that much.

Already excited because you can get the legion and blights new skins with shards. Usually the good ones are auric cells only.
Unfortunately I am on PS4 so I can't use them until they patch this latest update. It is unplayable right now with the freezing and stuttering.

Yep, I played this event and it was one of the best Events so far IMO. I was pretty disappointed that last years event only involved Bonus-BPs via Offerings and the Serum in the Rift.
Because in my opinion, if the Offerings only provide Bonus-BPs, they should just do a Double-BP or 1,5x-BP Event so that players can use their own Offerings.

Doubt it; it gets used up and is likely just 5%. (I am curious as to the exact number) Hope is 7% and lasts...2 minutes I want to say? And it isn't game breaking.

7% increase for 2 mins on high level survivors is 100% game breaking. Everyone already complains about gen speeds. Know why that is? Because chases take to long. How much longer are chases going to take now. It was a stupid thing they did and youll see what i mean.

I'm not really interested this year. I loved the hallowed blight event where we had to fill the vials but this one just looks like an excuse to sell skins that can only be purchased with real money.

They havent released yet, why would you ssy they arent meta? Watch every good survivor that can get these is absolutely going to run them every game. Watch it happen.

Yeah, and not being meta doesn’t mean it’s not powerful. This is ridiculous, and people are going to horde the add-on in the hopes of using it as long as possible.

I can't imagine they would increase run speed by 7%. Is it maybe just repair/ heal speed?
If it really is run speed for 2 minutes that is game breaking imo.

No, Hope lasts 2 minutes and is 7%. This add-on we don't know the amount and it lasts 20 seconds.

Gotcha, hope is fine. I thought there was going to be an add-on that gave survivors 7% speed boost for two minutes whenever they decided to activate it. 20 seconds isn't bad, mostly just annoying.

Hope has very specific conditions that only fire at the very end of the game. Ask any killer thats been playing awhile and theyll tell you hope users are hard to catch, especially with 110 killers. This is that but whenever the survivor wants. Its trash

20 seconds extends the chase considerably longer than it would have been. Thats always been my point. It doesnt matter if its 2 mins or 20 secs. 5 secs is to much.

I'd been taking a break from DbD over the last month (not its fault, I just had other games I wanted to play) and am planning to jump back into the Fog for a while due to this event, so I'm pretty excited for that I guess. Plus the new Halloween cosmetics look fantastic (seriously, the character modeling/design team does great work).
Though I'm also equally concerned about all the performance complaints I've been seeing with this most recent update. Good thing I'm decently experienced with PowerPoint slideshows, because I'm guessing it'll look something like that.
