Just make a baseline halloween event, then copy and paste that every year and add some outfits, it's not hard instead of making some ######### no one wants that's worse then what we had in the past

It's worked for MMOs for years. WoW's been copy-pasting their Christmas event for damn near two decades, I think.

That said, I'd vastly prefer them to keep introducing new and interesting events each year. That's really exciting. Only problem is, they need to actually make an event first. This was just a battle pass with a pumpkin-themed lobby.

Even if they copy and pasted their previous Halloween event, they still wouldn't allow you to get any currency to actually buy any of the new skins. Giving stuff away without charging real money is against new BHVR's business ethos. Unless you've got tens of thousands of spare iri shards, literally hundreds of hours worth of them, then you can have ONE good skin. But only one! I mean, I guess you could earn enough shards to buy more than one if you literally streamed for a living and have also been saving for months and months and months, in which case, congrats, hundreds of hours equate to like $20.

And even then, even if you had iri shards for days... so many of the skins need auric cells. Even for non-licensed characters. It's sickening.

They are maximizing, utterly and relentless optimizing the amount of friction for any solution except opening your wallet. That might sound like "smart" business to some, but at some point every customer has a breaking point, even the ones primed to buy your "micro"transaction ($20 is not a microtransaction, it's a macrotransaction) will start having doubts as to whether you intend to do or make anything that serves a purpose on bettering the actual product. What good are skins in a game less and less people will want to play?
