Why not bring a ban feature like Identity V did
You could implement some kind of ban feature that doesn't allow a killer to pick a certain killer if enough survivors pick that killer to be non-accessible. Same thing could go for killers picking certain perks to not be used when going against survivors. I hate bringing up Identity V but this is actually one of the thing I love from it. You could easily see which killers survivors don't want to be matched with and you could also see what perks the killer doesn't want to go up against and adjust from there

I didn't know this was a feature in Identity V. I would absolutely not want to see something like that implemented in DBD. People should be free to use whatever they want.

Why should we get a ban for playing charackters we like and paid for??
Also i guess surivor perks dont get banned?

Yeah the highest ranks in Identity V. Player are allowed to ban certain characters and they are unavailable to the opposite side

I figured since 1 killer ban is enough why not list 4 survivor perks you want to ban so it's pretty much equivalent to a killer getting banned

Still, you shouldnt be forbidden to use the charackter you like and paid for.

It would suck if you put all your points in Spirit...and then see sign "No Spirits allowed" such sadness....

Problem I see with this, is that many players would pick Spirit (for example) not to go against and then that Spirit player wouldn't be able to get a match again.
People have paid/unlocked their characters & perks and have the right to use them - I really don't agree with blocking that out of the game. It's not up to a survivor to say what killer they should play against, anymore than it's up to a killer to say what perks/players they are up against.

Just a thought. Kinda why I liked Identity V more than DbD tbh

This isn't really feasible TBH. Killers can't switch characters in the lobby anymore in preparation for the upcoming MMR matchmaking system. Because players will have a different MMR for each killer they will be matched to survivors with similar MMR for that character. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to still be able to swap killers in the lobby; if I see 4 medkits I could switch to Plague or a killer who can make good use out of Franklins. If I see a lobby with 4 toolboxes I can switch to Blight with Ruin/Undying and hard counter the inevitable gen rush.
I'd rather see a system for banning maps/realms. The new Sacrificial Ward (the offering that negates other map offerings) is really rare and hard to find, otherwise I'd be using it every match.

Which is why they should remove it. Since MMR isn't in play anymore why lock the killers choice? Doesn't make sense to me

Terrible system IMO.

Not really. Things get done hunters/survivors get changed based on how much their banned. They get tweaked and it's balanced. Wish I could say the same for DbD but we all know that's not true

Imagine a nurse who banned ds,ub,dh and sb
That wouldn't be fun

It absolutely is IMO. Barring certain Killers creates huge feelbads if someone sunk all their resources into that Killer (or spent IRL money). Same with perks to some extent if someone put in a lot of effort to unlock certain perks for all their Killers/Survivors. Then there is the issue of such a system being used to knock out counters to their builds. You don't need such an awful system to know what to balance.

Then this would have to include perks too to even it out and we all know what perks the killers would ban to "even the odds out"
no just no
