It would be great if Saboteur granted a good toolbox from the first chest searched, like Pharmacy does with the med kit.

    Saboteur:
You have a knack for finding toolboxes. Searches through chests are 40/60/80% faster and the noises they cause along with their hearing distances are reduced by 0/4/8 metres. Saboteur guarantees an Commodious Toolbox on your first completed Chest search with a 50% chance to find a Cutting Wire add on attached to the toolbox.

    Pharmacy:
You have a knack for finding medicine. Searches through chests are 40/60/80% faster and the noises they cause along with their hearing distances are reduced by 0/4/8 metres. Pharmacy guarantees an Emergency Med-kit on your first completed Chest search with a 50% chance to find a Medical Scissors add on attached to the med-kit.

If you are using both perks, you'll get a option after searching the chest to pick either your Emergency med-kit or your toolbox. :)

Or it could reveal the auras of Hooks and the intensity would indicate how far along they have been sabotaged, This would give the perk a form of information that a SWF group already has.

    Big NONO.
People would use Sabo to gen rush.
2 in lobby use toolboxes, 2 go blank, so the killer isn't warned and dodges 4 toolboxes, but the survivor just pick their extra toolboxes from chests and rush the gens, never saboing anything.

I agree with this.. hangman's trick should also show this info (the color intensity) unless sabo becomes the true meta even with this no one will still use hangman's but it would still be the counter sabo needs

and which of their meta perks would they give up for Saboteur, if only to use it for the toolbox?

only if you cant use the toolbox on gens though. seriously, genrush is bad enough, you dont need all of them getting a free green toolbox...
EDIT: i wrote medkit instead of toolbox. fixed that.

@Mister_xD That "free green toolbox" will cost them a perk slot.

and grants them a fast af gen.
honestly, i dont even think toolboxes should be able to repair gens faster... genrush is a serious problem, even without toolboxes. these things are just an overkill at some point.
maybe they will find a better use for them when they finally rework the whole gen process (e.g. you have to find X amount of items, lying all around the map in order to repair a gen. if you have a toolbox though, you can skip one of these items and start repairing that items part. when a killer kicks the gen, one of the items will fall out and needs to be put in again, in order to repait the gen again.)

Meta = SC,SB,DS … the 4th slot is the one that varies most of the time.

So instead of saying no how about give the killer a perk that could counter this? Like an increase in skill check difficulty and frequency for every toolbox used in a match with a increase to its regress if a skill check is missed.

Hangman tricks is a direct counter to sabotaging. I know killers dont really have a 4th perk to spare most of the time, but it does exist for this exact reason.

This is true but I was referring to the part about it causing a gen rush and countering that which hangmans trick doesnt counter anything with a generator

Oh I know that, was just talking about sabotaging.

If hooks gain 20% sabotage progress every time a survivor is unhooked from that specific hook, I'm in with more changes to saboteur.
