Why y'all act like esports cod players
I'm mostly a casual player and when I hop on a match all I see are keys ds unbreakable deadhard and then they power thru gens, I wish there was a casual mode for all of the casuals that play, oh and please tell me why y'all act like this

there is a casual mode, the entire game is casual mode. if people militarize the trials, it doesn't mean this is a competitive game. it will never be. e-sports competitive dbd is a really bad joke. all tournaments are here to prove me right.

Frfr people just always take this game serious but its not a competitive game when you ask them about it. Just admit the game is competitive

escapes grants 5k bp. survivors have a much more difficult time to get BP then killers, the longer you survive the more chance you will have to grind BP per trial. One small reason why 2nd chance perks are a big deal in the meta.
Also if there is no DS its no obsession, no obsession = free tunnel pass for killer, even if you dont use it someone else will.
Keys op. The more OP something is, the easier it is to win, easy wins = bloodpoints, pips, rank ups.
I wont defend survivors for how they behave but I do understand why, you need to get a perspective on both sides

Because some players are competitive and play to win. You'll find that in any form of competition, whether you take it seriously or not.

So you are a casual player yet you care about what perks other players bring and how effectively they play?
Doesn't that kind of contradict itself?

OFF TOPIC: COD is very casual even in its competitive scene for a "competitive" shooter. You cant even compare it to CS which is much more serious and takes way more skill. Also anyone remembers the official world championship COD controller only tournament? That was hilarious.

Because certain people actually hold tournaments in this game for actual, real money. Yeah. I know. Dumb as dumb can get, and they don't see what they are turning the game into, because they just want everything that's PvP to also be competitive.

PvP is competitive by nature; even games like Fall Guys are competitive. I think a lot of people are getting balance and competition confused. Anything that involves 2 or more people being pit against each other to achieve a desired result is considered a competition, which explains why people play to win; its just, people care to varying degrees(if they care at all).
This is why you can find Leagues for just about anything, including games that are just meant to be fun(I.E. Paintball, Ultimate Frisbee, etc.). Some people have fun screwing around, others have fun pushing themselves and trying to win. Those who like to compete want the game to be fair and balanced, and some take advantage of broken mechanics to secure the win; meanwhile, players who care less about winning get steamrolled and discouraged because they just want to enjoy their time. This is a problem that most middle-ground games have(and most games are in the middle-ground).

You are so very wrong. People are competitive, not games. Competitive people should stick to competitive games, or (like myself) put aside their competitive nature on inherently non-competative games.
PvP ≠ Comp. That is a fallacy created to justify people bulldozing opponents by using drastically unfair advantages.

com·pete
/kəmˈpēt/
verb
verb: compete; 3rd person present: competes; past tense: competed; past participle: competed; gerund or present participle: competing
- strive to gain or win something by defeating or establishing superiority over others who are trying to do the same.
- "universities are competing for applicants"
Does DbD, and lets extend that to PvP, fit that definition? Yes. Regardless of whether or not players choose to take it seriously, PvP is inherently competitive; it's literally the foundation of the game-mode. And that leads back to my point, balance =/= competition. Just because a game isn't tournament-ready(or ever will be), does not make it non-competitive.
Your personal definition of competition doesn't change what it actually is.

Wait so if I know what perks are in the game and how people play I'm not casual, I don't watch streams or anything, you make no sense

No the normal mode is not casual because it is ranked is it not?
1 -
If your casual why do you care so much about what other people are doing instead of having fun? I mean if you say them playing the game is ruining your experience, I'd hate to break it to you, but pvp games may not be your thing.
2 -
I agree with this. just because you can bulldoze a team or killer doesn't mean you have too. It's your choice how you play but yeah it can be pretty frustrating for both sides to get destroyed by the other.

You know how you see some killer players on here say they're gonna play the worst they've ever played this week? Or they'll bring an ebony Mori and spirit when they're on a losing streak? Similar thing with survivors. A lot of them are fed up with killers hardcore tunnelling them down with a Mori, or seeing Deathslinger, Freddy or Spirit every single game, so they slap on DS and Unbreakable with either a key or some other item (if you wanted the strongest build you should really be running the purple medkit with charge add-ons along with either botany or built to last.)
And the cycle continues :)

I wonder the same thing about killers who slug everyone and make them bleed out, then send each person a troll message after. Happens pretty often on PS4, and I’m a casual player who makes sure I’m not toxic at all. Seems like killers don’t appreciate even the fair survivors at this point. Trust me, survivors don’t appreciate fair killers either sometimes. The toxicity and sweat goes both ways. I play both sides and it is 100% equal.

Eh, I don't mind Survivors using the tools at their disposal - I think the way the game scores killers is outdated and needs to be adjusted though.
I feel more than ever, the design of the game leads me to believe they expect a hard-fought 2k to be considered a win for a killer. I can take one of the best, most effective anti-loop killers, equip best add-ons and have a reasonable chance of 3-4King... but if you expect to play an M1 killer like Wraith, Billy or Bubba at high level and set the standard "3K or it's not a win"... you're going to be disappointed more often than not. Good loopers just run circles around Killers who can't break loops.
Yet, not only is a 2K almost never better than a safety, it's also very possible to depip. It's like, sorry, I got outplayed on one chase and now 3 gens are done... I guess I should be Rank 20? Meanwhile, there's such an abundence of survivors in Purple/Red ranks, that even Green Killers basically never see Green Survivors. At least this is my experience.
They need to be a bit more merciful on killers - the rating system hasn't evolved to the Survivor Bias I feel this game currently has.

the game is competitive. because there are 2 sides compiting to win, but is NOT BALANCED, so thats the problem.

tbh if u dont play strong killers you get your ass whooped so hard taht is not even funny at higher ranks you cant blame killers players for choosing a killer that actaully stands a chance. meanwhile survivors can perform very good even without perks because that is how balanced the game is.

Believe it or not but this game has the potential to be competitive, BHVR just refuses to support it
IE: no input for map seeds, proper spectate for killer, etc

I've seen people in siege play Casual like ranked so hard that I am pretty sure that they were a portable sauna
1 -
Every killer can do just fine at any rank. I mainly used to play Wraith and Myers and I rarely had any trouble when I mained those two. You really don't need to bring the strongest things at any rank to do well. And you can't blame survivors for fighting BS with BS because you're not gonna see survivors perform well perk-less unless you're in a sweat squad like Marth's depip squad back in the day, and you all played blendettes and literally rushed gens and did nothing but communicate to each other on Comms because that never happens. Can guarantee that almost everyone on here has never actually come across a survivor group like this.

It is competitive haha 😂
it’s a [BAD WORD] PvP. At least Cod has zombies, party gamemodes (lol gamemodes plural) and campaign. All there is in the game is sweat vs sweats.

The people that argue that this game isn't competitive prolly have like 2k+ hrs, run all meta perks, and tbag at gates js. Just another way to say gg ez.
