Can't Play with Cross-Platform Friends?

Hello. I'm rather new to the forums, but I can't seem to find my issue anywhere else online.


Me and my friend would like to play together, but the friends list does not work.

I am on Steam, and he is on Xbox.

What happens is that I can send a friend invite to him (Captain Toast #4428 etc), but can't do it to me. When he does get my invite, he cannot accept it, but he can decline it.

A similar issue happened in the past, where we were friends, but we could not get each other's invites.

Is there any solution to this?

    I have the same problem I have a friend on PS4 and I can't play with them when I'm on PC. I have contacted them and they are aware of the problem and I got the same answer everyone gets.

    I know this doesn't really provide immediate help, but I have been able to play cross platform with a friend of mine.

    She's on PS4 and I'm on PC. I've been able to invite her and she's been able to invite me multiple times since the update without issue.

    If it matters we were cross-friends prior to the update though.

    yeah with my friend I can invite them and send them friend requests but they can't accept anything I send or send me anything and we were friends before the update too.

    Okay so I believe that I figured out what's going on: I linked my Steam account to a BHVR account.

    People before have said that their friends list was no longer visible, and I had that issue as well. However, it is now visible, but not functional.

    Even though I wish to play with my friend quite a lot, I don't want to lose all of my progress by unlinking the accounts.


    So fingers crossed that this issue gets fixed sometime soon.

    Yes, it's related to linking bhvr account, DO NOT UNLINCK, some people lost everything.

    Bassically what I did is that the rank 20 person is my new account I had to create and allow library share to install the game. I added from here my crossfriend and my main account. With my main I invite my alt from the laptop, and when I joined the lobby, I invite my crossfriend.

    Ridiculous that I have to do this each time we play, specially when one of us gets an usual error that kicks you from the party lobby.
