Casual/SWF

I know that you, devs, plan on having leaderboards and seasonal rewards for finishing high at the end of a season.
But please, can we adress the SWF issue before that and make ranked mode a solo-only mode.
I dont think that we need to discuss that SWF have a clear, insane advantage compared to a solo survivor team. SWF who simply can bypass whole builds and strategies of killers (traps e.g. can be communicate easily) should simply not be a thing in this mode.

Instead, there should be a casual mode, maybe even divide it into a solo part and a SWF part and if the killer feels like he wants to go against a SWF, then give him some extra BP

    I personally think that if a casual mode ever comes into this game, it should be completely seperate from the ranked mode. What i mean is, the casual mode should have everything the kyf mode can provide.

    Mainly:

    1-The absence of bloodpoint farming,

    2-All the perks, addons, items, and offerings being automatically unlocked and being unlimited.

    That would defeat the purpose of a casual mode. In casual you can lvl/farm, but you dont have to care about ranking

    What you are describign is basically a kyf with queue and that doesnt solve any of the issues we have currently, deranking for casual gameplay etc etc

    But it would totally fix a lot of issues!

     One of the first post I put on this forum was a similar thought, that if you split play for rank from casual then everyone could practice but not against the same 3,4 people like KYF but against all kinds of players but without the "I have to play this way and be super try hard to hold rank" thing hanging over our heads. 

    I love the idea that swf wouldn't be a part of rank play. You'd have to build for and actually be good to hold rank. Also now you could set rules and have your emblems drive the kinda competition play dev's would like to see without the clear outlined objectives ruining the freeform casual that just want BP's. So balance could very from that of the casual to keep both play styles happy.

    In fact how about rank play is just for rank and shards no bloodpoints at all. So to get anything from the blood webs you'd have to play in the casual bloodpoint arena first get some skills and what you wanted for items and then go for rank solo. And shards could be for rank only. So cool skins in store would have to be bought with $$ or you'd have to have played well in the ranked environment.

    I think this would solve a lot of problems people have because if the killer camps for example he would be dumb to do that in a just BP match because he would earn more by keeping the game moving so camping and tunneling arguably survivors big two wouldn't happen in casual because they dont need the sac for their rank. And killers main issue aside from looping which not sure if you can fix that really? But SWF wouldn't be an issue because you couldn't do it when it really counts for rank.

    Devs please, please read this conversation and address why not, if you guys dont like the idea, because I think its brilliant!! sorry this post is so long! :)

    I dont think that the player should be forced to play casual, if you only want to play ranked, then he should be allowed to and gain BP/shards doing that

    Sure I understand that, but the only reason I suggested it was the idea that it would keep both game modes full of both survivors and killers. Seeing how i imagine killers would gravitate to rank and survivors would want to play SWF for the most part and not care as much about rank. I think there would have to be some incentive to play both modes.

    No one would play ranked if you get all content for free in casual. That will never happen.

    Rank is then how you'd earn shards for stuff that isn't needed but is cool like outfits and skins and perks from the shrine. You could still have rank reset everyone but to 20 at the start of the season and anyone who made it to 5 or lower would get something cool like a killer head that you cant get any other way or a cool shirt for survivors maybe you could give rank 1's a special color variant of the item of the month?

    I just think this game needs to give people a reason to keep playing and playing both killer and survivor.

    The main point is if you separate casual from rank you give people a way to enter the game with the right mind set and people would be less upset with each other, you couldn't get mad if the killer shows up to play for keeps in rank mode, it's what it's for and you better bring your A game too, and remember no SWF so... As it sits right now I think it's why people butt heads so much some of us show up to do our best to win and others just want to play around. Very annoying when one of those goes against the other. This idea fixes that. :)

    A solo mode would be great, let the competitive survivors who want a challenge play against people without communicators for a slight XP bonus, same goes for killers.

    Having ranked be the only way to earn shard would easily destory ranked play. See overwatch gold guns for an example.
