4% gives u DS?
So I was playing as bubba and 2 survivors were left with all gens completed. I downed a David and hooked him aross the map far from where the doors were located.
My bbq showed the last survivor at one of the doors so i made my way over to them and as I made my way David 4%
I head back and meet David about halfway from the hook and the door and he starts to loop me but I was easily able to down him pick him up and got hit with DS and he was able to run straight to the door with their teammate right behind to body block.
I dont get it. This guy did not have deliverance or any perks to help them 4% nor were there any offerings to increase their luck.
How do u get to 4% AND get DS?
Weird flex but ok.
I feel like I got screwed over by the game.

No, he just got lucky + he had the perk equipped. You don't suddenly get gifted DS if you yeet off the hook.

So 4% without any help of a perk or offering doesnt give u DS then?

No, you get DS whenever you get off of the hook if you have the perk DS equipped. This could be with Deliverance, Slippery Meat, someone saving you, or sheer luck; it doesn't matter, provided they have the perk equipped in their loadout. It gives you DS, so does getting off normally, but only with the perk on; just getting off the hook doesn't suddenly mean you get gifted the perk from thin air, channeling the spirit of Laurie Stroodle inside you to tbag the exit gates because gee gee ea zee baby killer
