Why killers cant be switched while in a lobby anymore?
Is it another bug or is it gonna stay like that? Its annoying that i cant spend bloodpoints on other characters while queueing or in a lobby. And sometimes i just change my mind about who i want to play, but sorry now you cant do that, time to search for a match again.

Yeah I remember that you were able to switch between survivor and killer without being in the main menu, I wondered what happened to that.

They disabled the ability to change killers after queuing up due to MMR. MMR is based on each killer you have.
MMR was recently disabled but is planned to be re-enabled at a later date. As MMR can be enabled/disabled server side it is easier to leave it as is rather than patching it out only to have to re-patch it in later.

That is a feature they can't just turn off and on, it requires a patch. They implemented it cause they're working on MMR which will place you in matches based on your skill, so they don't want you to play a killer you have a low skill level with and then switch to a higher skilled one.
And since the killer lock requires a patch to change they're just leaving it in while they work on the MMR, because turning MMR on and off works without patching anything.

I think it’s because Switch doesn’t have Freddy yet. With cross play they can’t be going against them? If I’m correct

That doesn’t have anything to do with it.
Switch players can very well go against Freddy since CrossPlay was enabled.
also soon Freddy will be available on all platforms
