5 pestula petal offerings = 5 or 6 less hooks to sabo
I get the fact that it would suck if somebody sabotaged an event hook and you weren’t able to get the points but not being able to sabotage 5 or 6 hooks on the map because you want to use the offerings with your friends and play the event, is kinda stupid.

Sabotage isn't really used anyway and it's just for the duration of the event, so I don't see the problem.

i dont think 5 or 6 hooks are event hooks. i might be wrong but when i play killer i see like 1 or 2... maybe im wrong but idk
2 -
me and my friends joke around and have fun in the game so we sabotage whenever we have a toolbox if we can. Either way, just because something isn’t used often doesn’t mean it should be completely useless. A good sabotage can save that player from dying and even possibly win you guys the game.

well I think there’s always 1 hook and 1 generator, then for each pestula petals offerings it adds 1 more. So if all 4 survivors and 1 killer use that offering that’s +5 on top of the automatic 1 that spawns in. So 6 hooks and 6 generators
1 -
oh, ive never seen more than like one or 2 at a time so that makes sense. cool beans thanks buddy for not being toxic for me being wrong
3 -
Devs not thinking clearly this event. Especially with that sabotage 3 hooks in killer terror radius challenge going on.
6 -
Exactly. I don’t get it
5 -
np bro
2 -
I still feel the pestula petal offerings are pointless you shend 3000 for it get 3000 back if your the one doing it
6 -
Maybe dont sabo hooks during the event.
At least if a bunch of petals are played, take a game off.
Isn't that the mantra to killers during these events? Dont bring a mori and tunnel, I believe.
4 -
You dont need to do the Gen by yourself, you just need to be alive. For Hooks, you obviously need to use an Event Hook to hook them.
But yeah, I agree, they are kinda pointless. They provide only 2k BPs Bonus (1k is standard) and there are other BP-Offerings which are more useful.
1 -
So we have a couple of weeks with no sabo squads? I'm down for that.
5 -
Honestly, I didn’t think about that.... I guess I don’t have a reason to use them anymore. From what I’ve seen it’s just better to play a BP offering instead. Welp time to just hoard them.

I've never seen more than 2 pustula petals offered, but that could just be me. I think for the most part people have agreed this event isn't all that amazing so they aren't wasting their time with it and offering petals. The chances of everyone offering petals are extremely low.
1 -
They're so scarce in the bloodweb that it's normal to only have one or two offerings per match
1 -
I'm just saying, it's temporary.
0 -
And why would you take both a pistula offering and a sabo build? Especially if you're playing SWF - why would all of you take pistuals and bother sabotaging?
Doesn't make sense to me. If you want to sabo just don't take pistulas and you'll likely have only 1 or 2 event hooks to worry about.
2 -
"if" is the keyword. I leveled a character from 1 to like 55 and got 14 of them. They are pretty rare, so you don't really see that much. For me it is also more likely to have none or 1, than 2 or more offerings in a game.
To the sabo, I also think it is ok, it is just for 2 weeks. They intentionally disabled sabotage on event hooks on the 2018 halloween event (or BBQ event, or any other event) because survivors intentionally started increasingly sabotaging hooks just to deny killer bonus points. So I think it is totally fine to keep it that way.
1 -
You can simply just not sabo for 2 weeks.
The ability to Sabo event hooks was removed because the survivors went out of their way to just abusively only target event hooks.
Honestly if certain survivor players didn't abuse the hell out of hook sabo concepts during events you wouldn't have to deal with this.
As long as there's the potential for abuse to make the game unfun for Killers it shouldn't be brought back.
This didn't just start with the Halloween event it's been a thing for events with special hooks for a while

if you're in a SWFs team, then you'll only see 1 pustula offerings, IF the killer decides to use it. So it's not really a problem, also it's temporary...

The no-sabo event hook is a relic of pre-rework sabo, when hook re-spawns took 3 minutes. It doesn't make sense anymore (after all, event gens can be corrupted/regressed etc.), but it's probably not a high-priority, if at all, on the change list.
2 -
if you are so hellbend on sabo'ing, then dont bring a pustula, not that hard

There is one difference between the event bonus and the other offerings that give bonuses - the event bonus is counted in the endgame scores when seeing who has the highest score that game and also they can allow that score to exceed the usual 32k limit. I had a game a couple days ago where I scored 33k because of the blighted hook bonus. Most BP offerings give their bonuses outside that endgame score screen, so if you want to win by points they don’t actually help.

Yeah,i don't get why they just can't make all the hooks/gens event ones and the amount of event offerings that are used in the match is the amount of extra points you get when repairing a gen/hooking a survivor (e.g 2 event offerings are used which means you get the bonus points for the first 2 hooks/gens)
That way we survivors are still able to sabotage hooks and killers have a much easier time to get their bonus bp
2 -
Exactly. That would be perfect

This is such a dumb oversight by the devs.
1 -
It's like this to prevent players from being ######### and only saboing the event hooks to prevent the Killer from getting their bonus. It shouldn't be that big of a deal because you don't have to sabo those hooks, unless you're one of those ######### I mentioned in the previous sentence.
1 -
It's not an oversight, it's intentional. Offerings are optional.
1 -
I have not seen that one. The only one I've seen if finish 2 gens in a terror radius
0 -
Imagine not being able to kick an event gen.
3 -
There is no sabotage challenge in this level. The next level opens a day after the Eternal Blight ends. There is no extra incentive to sabotage hooks.
1 -
I play solo sabo as one of my two main builds and this event has lead to several deaths or games outright being thrown because I didnt realise the hook was an event hook until too late. It should have been removed as respawn timers are way shorter now and goo gathering isnt even a thing for killers this time.
Absolutely ludicrous
3 -
Oh...that must have been from past tome. I completed the survivors ones on the current already and went back and did some I missed finishing earlier. I guess it was an older challenge I completed...sorry about that.

Exactlyyy lmfaoo killers are able to stop survivors from getting event gens so.?! Everybody using that argument about not being able to sabotage an event hook isn’t thinking about this.
3 -
Bro same. That has been so annoying. Especially when this event first started. Multiple times of me either thinking my game was bugged, me thinking I brought a toolbox that doesn’t have the sabotage ability, or some other bs. Just for me to get hit and go down, or waste my time trying
0 -
The Killer can easily throw the game if they block an event gen. They can also only block one at a time. Saboing an event hook can easily be done while playing normally.
1 -
Yeah they should just make it that all gens and hooks are event ones. Bringing the offering gives bonus points for each. All are sabo-able and regress-able.
1 -
What?! The purpose of the offering is to spawn bonus hooks and gens, not to make those hooks unsabotageable. How is that intentional? That's a bug!
0 -
going around randomly sabotaging event hooks can also throw the game for survivors. And they resplendent fairly quickly, while your toolbox is only able to sabotage about 2-3 maybe 4 hooks maximum with addons. The argument can be thrown either way
0 -
And a survivor can easily throw a game by going around randomly sabotaging event hooks. Plus they respawn fairly quickly so it’s not like it’s that bad. Plus the toolbox can only sabotage 2-3 hooks maybe 4 hooks maximum with addons. The argument can be thrown both ways
0 -
Maybe don’t kick event gens during the event.
1 -
It’s comical that all these people are acting like this isn’t a big problem, I’m sure if there was a negative issue for killers they’d be crying and whining non stop, as usual.
2 -
The Survivor can just run away from the event hook and force the Killer to use a different hook. It’s not random sabotage if it’s planned before the game begins.
0 -
It's less of a relic more of the fact that survivors went out of their way to specifically target event hooks and nothing else.
Some survivors teams would not care if you got a regular hook they wouldn't go out of the way not let you get the event one though that's the only reason that change actually happened
0 -
ok?? Lmfaoo whatt are you talking about. You ok?
0 -
Couldnt save some tunneled guy yesterday because killer was carrying him to an event hook. And because bodyblocking is impossible thanks to a new bug. Amazing game
Oh nooo killer is gonna lose 1k points if you sabo that hook, thats unacceptable!!
1 -
Exactly. It’s so stupid. Not only do you not get to save somebody from being tunneled or dying in general. You waste time doing it and hurt yourself. Just like you did. You didn’t know that was an event hook and just gave the killer a free hit, even though you had way more than enough time to sabotage. It ruins the whole game
