They buffed like 10 perks in the most recent update.

They will probably do another update eventually because they announced they still want to change some perks in the QnA.

because people buy new surv/killer with good perks. Simple as that

    They're working on it.

Pop really isn't nerfed that much, just gives less time to go kick a gen, which is fine, I almost never lose a pop because it timed out, so whatever.

Thanatophobia is buffed. The point of thana is to make survivors want to heal and not work on gens.

We saw perks get updated with Billy and Bubba. Lightborn is a bit better, Franklins is better, tinkerer is meta now. Surge got a buff, where it hits regressing gens for the 8% damage. Trail of Torment buff seems legit too.

They tried to make Mindbreaker, Knockout and Cruel Limits better, but I still don't see the value in them.

I imagine we'll see more perks getting updated on the PTB for the next chapter. Then more on the Mid-chapter patch.

Perks are changed fairly regularly at the moment it seems, changes are made when there's chance to work on them all. As you can see from the recent patches, quite a few perks have been changed/reworked.

I mean, We're Gonna Live Forever used to be arguably the second-worst survivor perk (its only "effect" was a post-trial BP bonus) and it's probably a meta perk now due to its crazy anti-slugging potential.

Tinkerer used to be pretty weak too, but now it's also become part of the killer meta after its own buff (helped along by Ruin/Undying of course).

Obviously there are more bad perks to fix (and some that will probably always be junk like Cruel Limits), but it's not like they're just ignoring bad perks. Hopefully we'll see even more meaningful changes with their next round of perk updates.

They are, they are just insanely slow in general (although are trying to make more perk changes than previous), but also have an extremely bad practice where they like to release loads of changes at once instead of in smaller time increments. This results in stuff like the useless Cruel Limits buff, which will do nothing to make it remotely viable (and this includes their killrate stats which they use even though they are so useless they should be binned), so we have to wait several months just for them to finally change it again, even though anyone who is remotely decent at the game can tell you that the buff will not change a thing in literally 5 seconds after reading the change.

Essentially, they are actually doing it, they're just doing a fairly bad job (not all bad though, like the WGLF buff is a good concept albeit probably a bit overtuned, but it is unfair to give them ######### for this because it is very hard to find perfection in balance on the first attempt, the most important thing is concept) - but what's so strange is they're hit and miss in a baffling way aswell, like so many changes they've done are actually good well thought out healthy changes for the game, but then you get some things like the Hillbilly PTB addons, Cruel Limits change, Gearhead PTB nerf where they're so bafflingly bad you almost want to say whoever came up with them should be reassigned away from game balance, because they are just at that high a level of absurdly terrible changes that it's inexcusable.
