Autohaven and/or Ormond graphical overhaul are next?
On Facebook one of the DBD stories is a poll asking if we'd prefer Ormond or Autohaven to be next to be overhauled. I'm gonna guess it's both!
Can't wait to see what they do with Autohaven. Hopefully Coldwind Farms is next after that!

I'm all for Ormond. Hopefully they reduce the size a bit, and reduce the clown-car menagerie of super-safe pallets that spawn 5 meters away from each other. And add some breakable walls to the MB to make it less nightmarish for killers. And fix the wonky scratch marks on snow.
But hey! I really like the new sounds they've added for survivors crunching theough snow, so... there's that.

Well, if they do Balance Changes to Ormond as well, nobody should call the Devs Survivor-biased anymore, because Shelter Woods did not receive any changes with the Graphical Update.

Even if it is only a Graphical Update, I would prefer Ormond. The Map looks horrible, the most ugly Map in DBD IMO.

Really? Shelter Woods seems to be a bit more populated now than it used to be. Fewer dead zones for my Blight to dominate in. Even the "main building" tree has a pallet now iirc.

I actually didnt expect them to go for Autohaven (5 maps in total) in a main chapter, but in a mid chapter instead.

Yes. I dont know, if I think about the theme, a snowy, creepy Mansion/Resort sounds awesome, but the Map does not look like it. And if they do more than a graphical Update, even better, it is the worst Map for Killer (I think its even worse than Haddonfield, since at Haddonfield you can at least get not as bad RNG, while Ormond is always busted AND Scratchmarks are bugged on this Map).
Trees might be annoying for Blight or Huntress, but usually they dont do much as defense. Even tho, with Blight it is even more frustrating, because half of them let you bounce and the other half just lets you slide by.

Shelter woods is better than before, but it's still really susceptible to rng screwage. Unless they changed something with the rework, Shelter Woods was a map that could spawn too few pallets just because rng didn't spawn enough places for pallets.

Didn't Shelter Woods get breakable walls in this update? (Or maybe not? I know other maps in that Realm did but Shelter Woods doesn't have big permanent structures like they do I think?)

Nope, Shelter Woods did not get any changes except for a graphical Update. And the Tree cannot be used as a Balanced Landing-Spot anymore, but thats it.

Shelter Woods has no breakable walls. Only the main buildings of MacMillion got breakable walls which Shelter Woods does not have.

Like they did with the MacMillan map where they re-introduced infinites and made it so there are setup of 3 pallets leading into shack, and with Yamaoka where shack window leads into a god window into a zig zag loop with a god pallet? I'm not holding my breath to be honest.

Shelter Woods is so boring. It was a missed opportunity for them to change it up a bit. If they didn't do it then, then I'm not sure they ever will :/

please, dont ruin Autohaven with garbage breakable walls, they are one of the few somewhat balanced maps

I don’t think ormond will be more survivor sided cause remember that infinite loop on spring wood with the fence and door they stopped it by shortening it and (the only good map) adding a breakable wall to shut the loop down. I bet they will nerf ormond cause remember they nerfed ironworks window. So anything is possible?

Well graphic updates are not the same as balance updates. Remember Badham received an update changing the tiles and giving us 5 different variations before it received a graphical update.
It's always possible the devs will revisit maps like Shetler Woods in the future as part of another balance update similiar to the mini one we got a couple mid chapters ago. But we shouldn't expect these graphical updates to be on the level of Lery's that received both tile changes and graphical ones.

I know Autohaven is the realm I'd rather see visually upgraded; I think there's a lot of potential for cool asset designs and I could actually see breakable walls being an interesting inclusion on Gas Heaven (both in the Gas Station and as tunnels through the car stacks.
I'd really like for Ormond to get an actual layout redesign though (graphically, I just want it to be made much darker so that scratch marks are more visible against the snow). It's really frustrating to play on as most killers, which is a shame because its ambient sound effects are pretty cool.

When's the next chapter since that's the next graphics update. Since it's more likely Ormond is getting paired with another realm since it's only one map.

I don’t think the poll will really affect what they are gonna do next, they probably have Ormond and Autohaven in the works.. to start now would be a little too late for the next chapter

I really hope that it's not gonna be Autohaven.
I just know that they will bring infinites back,just slap a breakable wall next to it and call it a day.
Breakable walls are such a wasted mechanic >:(
EDIT:And don't forget that they will probably decrease the brightness in those maps to 0 like the other maps because why not?

It depends how they add the breakable walls. For instance, if they add breakable walls to the jungle gyms in Ormond, so that they are strong like they are currently if left alone but weaker with a broken section, then that would be good. On the other hand if they add a breakable wall that has no effect or that the killer doesn't want to ever break or that the killer MUST break because if they don't it's an infinite loop then that's bad.
So it's all in the details of where the wall is placed and if something else was changed in the loop. Good walls are ones you don't need to break, you can still try and chase survivors there, but if you do take time to break them you get a bit of a benefit of the loop being weaker. Ormond in particular has a lot of strong loops and pallets, adding breakable walls to allow the killer to spend a little time to weaken them preemptively would be a positive change.

Is this really a question they have to ask? Obviously Ormond. It's hilariously broken and unfair. Two safe filler pallets facing a long wall window that leads into killer shack that leads into another jungle gym. Like....wut?

I just looked at the poll results so far. Its not even close. Autohaven has a 61% lead. I guess people are of the mentality of five maps reworked versus just one.

Ormond would be pretty cool. I think if the devs do it right, they could make Ormond one of the coolest maps in the game actually. In my opinion, one of the best additions they could make to the map is to just make it darker - maybe it's just me, but the map seems super bright compared to other maps and not just because it's covered in white snow. It feels like it's just a cloudy day rather than night. Living in Minnesota, I'm used to it being dark like 15-16 hours out of the 24 hour day in the winter lol

I hope it's Ormond next. I want them to keep breakable walls FAR AWAY from autohaven for as long as humanly possible. It's the only overall pretty good realm left, I don't want them screwing it up even more. If they do then all we're left with is Father Campbell's Chapel.

The Facebook poll’s looking similar to that.
This just tells me that a lot of players are out of touch with the game or there’s a lot more bad Survivor mains out there than I thought. It really makes me upset that we might have to wait for a fix to one of the most hated maps in the game.

I'd love to see them pull an swerve and say "Ok, so we're updating Autohaven ... AND Ormond! 😄"
Seriously though, I'm sure they're doing all the maps in the long run, just not sure which map they're doing first.

Even if they don't fix Ormond's loops, at least a graphics update will probably fix scratches being invisibly and the awful collision on every object.

They did Bdham and Yamaoka at the same time so I'm guessing if Ormond isn't next it'll be done with Strode or Red Forest or Crotus Penn.

My dudes.. I don't think the devs are making major decisions based on Facebook and Twitter poll results. It's likely both of them.
And clearly people want GRAPHICAL OVERHAULS of Autohaven maps because they are much much older. Not to mention there's like 5 of them and 1 Ormond.

Autohaven??? A lot of people have no clue that graphical update comes with BALANCING changes. And Ormond takes the cake when it comes to unbalanced map design.
